*sigh* well it's that time of the year again, all the old things get trotted out...give up smoking...lose weight...spend more time with your family...clear debts...get a new job...get a life... rolleyes
i still want to find some motivation from somewhere to make a bit more of my life, did anyone see where i left it?
Does anyone have any interesting aims for this year?

CelestialCupcake i still want to find some motivation from somewhere to make a bit more of my life, did anyone see where i left it? I know that feeling all too well,I just try to be happy (sounds corny I know). The higher up the career ladder you go the more you seem to sacrifice/stand to lose.I'd much rather have my partner,a home & a huuuuge games collection (maybe a cat at some point) to enjoy over earning top dollar.Besides that I did art at college so I won't be going anywhere with my fanart. xd As for resolutions, trying not to have any ingrowing toenails would be nice. xd

Mine are so typical:
Lose some weight and inches
Be nice to my family
Maybe writing it down will make me more likely to achieve it biggrin

i wonder if these sort of things are easier to achieve when you're younger or older confused Glam has your resolution to be nicer to your family been triggered by having your brother home for Christmas? i find things like that can often alter your outlook about something, for a while at least, it's hard to think responsibly when you're a teen though, gets easier as you get older but you often still don't want to do it , you just can't get away with flouncing about and door slamming like you can when you're 17 rofl

I don't do resolutions these days but set targets instead such as losing a bit of weight by a specific date, which I actually find easy - 2.4 lbs so far this year, but find it difficult not to put it back on.

Does anyone have any interesting aims for this year? I have made one for the first time in years. I am going to be more assertive with my family. I am sick and tired of them just expecting me to do things, and jump when they say so. Like my sister just expecting me to be here to watch her kids, without as much as asking if it is okay with me, and my dad expecting me to go down the street for his prescription and pay his bills. I have reminded him once on new years day, he has two daughters not just me 3nodding

you seem far more assertive online than in RL Tia, you need to let Mistress Melt out to play at home 3nodding

Im a bit like Irby I dont do resoltions anymore cos I always get fed up when I break them. So I set myself a mission every week or so. I usually fail but think right Ill do it this week so I dont wait until nxt yr. I normally get it done in the end lolol (ok so the weight and the smoking bits still need work) redface
