Word had reached the mottled wolf's ears of a wolf in need of some... assistance, it hadn't been the type pf rumor that would reach just any ears either. No it was the type of word passed among only the fringes of society, reaching the ears of the type of creatures it was meant for.

Since he had been in the area and had nothing better to do with his time Achilles has decided to set up a meeting with this wolf in need of help, sending a crow ahead to set things up. He of course expected the other wolf to still be there - despite the fact he was running late. If he wasn't - well then he wasn't serious about the job and Achilles wasn't interested in. It was one of the ways the spotted wolf weeded the worth whiles from the wastes of time.

Tierehl had been somewhat impatiently waiting for this wolf to arrive. He had better show up, he thought angrily as he paced back and forth even though each step on his one front leg caused him a good deal of pain. It had been a while since his half-sister had done her best to make sure he couldn't abandon his unborn pups and only recently was he able to walk more than just around his den.

"Stupid female." He muttered as he continued to pace. He hoped what he was told about this other wolf was true, that he would be willing to do whatever was need to rid Tierehl of this menace of a sibling. If not then Tierehl would be hauling a** outta this area as fast as his bad leg could carry him - the threat of death from several members of both packs would be his motivation.

It amused Achilles when he found the wolf pacing about the meeting place upon arrival. Sauntering into the area as if he owned the place, which for the moment he did. Had he not specified the location for the meeting? Yes for the duration of this little get together this was his domain.

One swift glance at the patchy wolf and Achilles had a pretty good idea about why this beast needed help. If someone had torn up his leg like that he'd be pretty eager to get some revenge himself. Of course...no one would ever tear up Achilles leg. "Having troubles friend?" He asked the other in way of greetings as he made himself known, slinking from the forests mottled shadows like he belonged to the same dark place they hailed from and settling onto his haunches as he regarded the other with bi-hued eyes.

Tierehl brought his pacing to a stop as Achilles made his appearance. It was about time he got here, he thought but kept it to himself. Letting a slight smile cross his face at those words Tierehl sat down as well. "That depends on if you can fix my problems." Tierehl had heard plenty about this wolf, though some of those things could be chalked up to fanciful rumors, others were probably true.

"So just how good are you?" He asked somewhat smugly. Even if this wolf spent his entire life fixing problems of others he doubted that he had ever come across wolves like those from Antianeira.

Achilles arched a brow as the wolf seemed to question his ability. "Are you requesting a...demonstration?" He asked the other in clipped succinct tones, a challenge in his eyes as he looked the other up and down for a few moments. Such a soft looking beast - Achilles was willing to bet he was lazy and push over.

"I am more then good enough to solve this issue of yours" He told the other after a few moments of silence to let the challenge sink in. "You need not worry about that" He finished in a softer tone "However there is still the matter of...payment"

Tierehl kept his face neutral as Achilles spoke once more. A demonstration? He could only imagine that meant showing his skills on him, as there were no others around. He let out a small huff. "No demonstration needed friend." His leg was still quite tender so even if he wanted a demonstration he wasn't willing to be the guinea pig so to speak.

"I can tell you everything you need to know to get this job done. This pack is not like most of the others in Telk." But he also considered how quickly Penthesilea had beat him so perhaps he better add something else to the offer. "And if you ever need help in a future job where more paws than yours are required I could help with that."

At least the softie was wise enough to decline the demonstration Achilles thought to himself with no shortage of amusement. Though it might have been fun to partake in such an event - it would be a little bit counter productive in the long run, one didn't go about killing off their customers if they wanted to make a name for themselves. Which was of course...Achilles main goal in life.

Pondering the wolfs offer for a few moments Achilles finally gave a slight nod "Very well. The terms are acceptable. Perhaps you should explain this problem of yours in more detail so that expectations are met" He told the other - Achilles didn't want another episode like he'd experienced a few months ago. They hadn't specified they wanted the wolf beaten up - not killed - but how was he to know that right off the bat.

Though Tierehl wasn't sure exactly how he would help this wolf in the future at least the deal was being made. Giving a nod he began the long explanation of everything. "The pack lies to the north of here, called Antianeira. The forest is dense so you will have a good deal of cover to make your approach. The pack is run by a female named Penthesilea, and she leads the female warriors there with an iron paw. In Antianeira the females dedicate their entire lives to training to be the best warriors in the lands." He paused for a moment before continuing. "They subjugate the males forcing them to be slaves, doing whatever bidding the females wish of them."

Paws shifted as the anger within him began to show towards the pack. He had always hated his old pack and now he would finally get his revenge. "You won't be able to make it to the dens, it's far too protected. Your best bet is to draw her to the border. Penthesilea has a soft spot for a blue male pup named Glacier." Giving his head a shake he scoffed a bit at the idea of his half-sister favoring that blasted pup over other males. "If you can find that pup and draw him away to the border it will only be a matter of time before the b***h queen shows up to protect her pup." A smiled crossed his maw. "And then you can dispose of her."

Well well well...this job had a challenging ring to it. It had been a while since Achilles had found himself facing someone of worth - but this Penthesilea creature sounded like she would be interesting if nothing else and a pack that subjugated males? That certainly had to be dealt with - and as with many things, packs included, cutting the head off generally worked.

"Your information will be taken under advisement" He told the other - though Achilles would scout things out himself once he got there to make sure it was accurate, the plan was sound enough to follow. "What of the pup? Do you desire proof of her demise?" He asked in part to make doubly sure this was what the other wolf wanted and in part to ensure he would receive his own payment once the deed was done.

Take the information under advisement? Tierehl had just told him everything he would need to do the job and he was going to take it under advisement. Whatever, at least he was still up for the job. He let his shoulder roll in a shrug in regards to the pup. "Do what you wish with the pup, he will be lost without Penthesilea anyways." Then his expression turned cold. "I want her head. It will make a nice decoration for my den."

The mottled wolf nodded slightly as he considered the wolfs answers - he supposed he would decide what to do with the little pup once the situation presented itself. He was however somewhat dismayed at the demand for the head - how cliche - and decapitating wolves was not an easy or neat business. Still what the customer wanted the customer would get.

"A common request' He told Tierehl "I will endeavor to fulfill it" He promised. Without any further words - because Achilles didn't think there were anymore to say he stood and slipped back into the shadows, quickly disappearing into the shadows in the same manner he had arrived. The deal had been truck and there was nothing left to do but the job.

Tierehl nodded as the other stood and left. "Good luck." He muttered and honestly Achilles would need it. Standing he too took his leave, he would return to YMCA for the time being. After all it would take Achilles some time to journey up north and then fulfill his duties so best to lay low in the mean time. Besides each day drew closer to the arrival of his pups and he wouldn't miss that for the world.

Glacier had, had it up to his ears with that green menace of a pup Assalea, it was like the rotten little beast had made it her personal goal in life to torment him. Every time he turned about she was there - yelling, fussing, bossing - she never seemed to run out of things for him to do for her and to make it worse she'd started doing it when others were around so that he had no choice but to follow her directions. She might be mean Assalea...but she wasn't stupid. Pity.

He had come up with only one surefire way to keep away from her and that was to wake up as god awful hours - finish his chores before the lazy wench woke up and then disappear. When she figured out what he was up too she'd begun looking for him and Glacier had been forced to wander farther and farther towards the edge of the packlands to keep from being found.

Achilles had started off on his trip North directly after leaving Tierehl's company, there was no point in putting it off to the next morning when daylight had still burned. The first several days had been spent inspecting the packs boarders - once in a while making short scouting trips deeper into the lands. Thankfully - though they were said to be a warrior pack their numbers were not yet large enough to guard against one lonely wolf and Achilles was smart enough to keep his tracks confusing and hard to follow should any of them run across one of his trails.

He had spotted the blue pup on the second day - the little fellow was halfway from the dens to the boarder which had still be to close to try anything so Achilles had merely watched and then left him alone. Little by little however he noticed the pup making further trips, wandering into the more unprotected parts of the packs lands until one afternoon he was practically off packland altogether. There would never be a better time then this Achilles thought to himself and making a wide soundless circle about the pups purposefully stepped out in front of him.

Glacier was more then a little bit surprised when the strange male sudden;y appearing from the woods in front of him - he had been nosing a bug on the ground when the beast made his appearance and startled the pups skittered backwards a few steps. "who are you? What are you doing here?!"He finally demanded knowing full well that he wasn't a member of the pack and certainly he didn't belong here.

Glacier might have been less inclined to ask these questions of a female, but he had no such inhibitions about demanding answers from another male.

Achilles looked down at the pups and having already deduced that he was not a biological member of this pack had formulated a plan he thought would work well enough and capture the youngster's attention. Striving to look relatively harmless Achilles tipped his head slight and looked at the pup quizzically. "Why young Glacier, I have come to find you!" He told him in a serious tone.

"Me?" Glacier questioned somewhat taken aback by the comment. That definitely wasn't the answer he had been expecting! "Wh-why would you be looking for me?" He questioned, though his interest was caught enough now that he didn't retreat any further away from the spotted wolf.

"Well because I'm your father" He told the pup earnestly - it was plausible he thought eying the pups splotched hide

Glacier looked a little dubious at this comment and eyed the wolf for a few moments before stating doubtfully "I'm blue..."

Achilles had anticipated this sort of remark and had already thought of an answer for this "Of course you are - your mother was blue, but you got your splotches from me" He told the pup

Well...Glacier had to admit that made a little bit of sense and after turning his head to eye his spot for a few moments, looked back at the other wolf. If he had been older he might not have been led on so easily, but Glacier was still young and still having daydreams about his missing father - he'd already given up on his mother - but now maybe he would get some answers about that too. "Why..why did she leave me alone?" was the first question that sprang out of his mouth.

"Well.." Achilles started, inwardly grinning because it was clear that he had the pup on the hook now - he would just need to keep the youngster's attention until the Queen came looking for him. "It's a long story, why don't you come over here and I'll tell it to you" He told him, laying down and inviting the pup to come and lay beside him.

Glacier was still a little bit hesitant but the lure of knowing about his missing family was too much for him to resist and after only a few moments he'd given in, going to lay alongside his supposed 'father'

Achilles smiled as the pups came to lay with him - and it wasn't a fake smile, the little fellow was making things so easy for him. No doubt Penthesilea would follow the pups tracks straight to him and would find him with Achilles rather then alone - furthermore the pups proximity would keep her from outwardly attacking giving him more control of the situation. Yes...it was a good plan and well on its way to success. Now he just had to kill her.

Penthesilea had been fretting for a good portion of the morning. Glacier was no where to be seen and after asking several pack members none were sure where the blue pup had gone. He knew better than to wander off but she also knew that Azalea had been bothering him quite a bit lately - something that she would put a stop to after this, so there was a chance he went off to get away from her. But why didn't he say anything to her first. As much as she wanted to rally the entire pack to stop everything and look for him she knew that was out of the question. Instead quietly she found Cleite, her trusted lynx, and set off in search of him.

It didn't take long for the pair to pick up the pups trail and the longer she followed it the more worried she became. He shouldn't be out this far, she kept thinking as she padded forward in a hurried manner. Finally she came near where he was, voices drifted to her ears, one being Glacier and another was unknown. Most importantly that unknown voice was male. Immediately she broke into a full run to reach them faster. If anything happened to Glacier she would never forgive herself for letting him wander off.

Bursting through the trees Penthesilea skidded to a stop not far from where Glacier lay besides the unknown male. What was he doing? Hackles raised, muscles tense, lips curled back in a snarl Penthesilea stared at the strange male. "Glacier!" She barked. "Get away from him."

Cleite followed Penthesilea through the pack lands in search of the missing pup. It did seem odd that Glacier would wander off like this and while she held up the ideals that males were nothing but good slaves the lynx was worried about the pup who held a special place in her heart. Following the Queen into the small clearing that held the pup and the strange male Cleite also let out a growl, she was ready to protect the Queen and Glacier at all costs.

Glacier was listening to the story the large male was telling him when Penthesilea sudden'y burst from the woods followed closely by Cleite the lynx. Eyes wide at the barked order Glacier tucked tail and skittered sideways. "But..but he says he's my dad!' He protested even as he listened to her

Well, the Queen had come at last - and with a lynx as back-up no less. How interesting. It would change things to be sure but not enough to worry Achilles - he'd fought with Lynx before. Standing as the pup scampered off he made no move to stop the pups instead stretching in a relaxed fashion - as though he had been interrupted in the middle of an afternoon nap or something.

The males body however was not the sort of body one would expect from a lazy creature and the stretch merely defined the hidden muscles of a wolf not only in his prime but also one who took care of himself. Settling himself in a balanced pose he gave the snarling female a neutral look. "..and so, you must be she" He remarked as he looked her over from feathered headdress to bristling tail, she was quite the looker when she was angry he noted, possessing a wild beauty to match his shadowy perfection. He hadn't expected that.
