Damian's party had come and gone.
It was a few days later, and Selena was on a mission. A mission to find Alessa.
She'd been a horrible friend - she'd been supposed to be keeping an eye on the brunette, making sure Damian didn't do anything stupid. But instead she'd been too preoccupied with a few of the boy's more good-looking friends, and a few of her other friends who'd ended up showing up to the party. And then she'd left, onyl realizing once she was home that she'd left Alessa behind.
Schedules and after school activites meant this was the first chance the dark-haired girl had managed to seize, and so she was making her way through the corridors of Meadowview school, glancing into empty classrooms as she did to look for Alessa. School hadn't ended long ago, ten minutes at the most, and Selena was praying that she hadn't missed her friend. If Alessa still wanted to call her a friend.
Ohhhh, she was so horrible! Selena chewed on her bottom lip nervously as she continued onwards, moving into the school's maths block.

Among the things that characterized the brunette as a pushover, was her tendency to always answer to calls of distress, whether it involved painful bruises or obscure homework. Whether or not she could solve these problems was irrelevant.
This time, a friend monopolized her attention because of a lost test. It took more than ten minutes to search the classroom and harass other students, until it turned out she did forget the paper at home. So much for being helpful. Oh, well, this kind of things happens regularly to anybody, and the clumsy Alessa was unable to pretend she wasn't concerned.
As she walked out of the classroom, obliviously, Selena's solitary shape in the hall caught her attention. She waved at her, grinning innocently, even though she looked worried and in a hurry. "Hey, Selena! How are you? Are you also looking for something?"

Selena turned around, sighing as she prepared to give up and just go home...and suddenly, there! Alessa! The girl was waving at her and Selena eagerly waved back, rushing forwards to meet the girl with a wide, somewhat sheepish smile.
"Alessa!" she exclaimed, reaching forwards and pulling the girl into a hug in a friendly manner, before backing up to give the brunette a little more space. She was about to launch into her apology before she realized she'd been asked a question. "I...Oh, I'm alright, thanks. I was...looking for you, actually."
Que another embarrassed smile. Oh, Alessa was being so nice to her, and she really didn't deserve it... "I'm so sorry about the other day," she gushed, finally letting it all out, "My mind...it just wasn't working properly, and when I left I was talking to other people and I was distracted, and I didn't realize I'd left you until I was all the way home. I'm so, so, so sorry - please forgive me?"
