Living in the dawnwalker lands was fun and beautiful, every day she rose to the sun casting it's golden glow through the temples making shadows as long as the world. Or so she felt, sometimes you just couldn't see the end of those shadows ad that was a good thing. Shade was premium in the desert and she enjoyed sitting in it when she wasn't helping her friend in the nursery.

Today though she was out and about just wandering, she enjoyed her little trips, alone, or with her son, but today was all about her, about seeing the world, catching some rays, playing in the sand and saying hello to as many people as she could. Unfortunately she hadn't met many people so far which made it quite boring for her, she liked to say hello to people, loved to strike up any conversation, loved to play and flirt and galavant recklessly. Her day off was not going well so far, but the day had only just started, it could only get better, right?

Jamani had been moving since early morning. Moving from shrub to shrub if there were any, sometimes staying under the shade of a passing cloud if it were moving in the general direction he was headed. He hadn't passed a single other on his travels, mostly out of avoiding the possible dangerous ones. You never really knew who you could trust out in the roguelands, but that never stopped him from trying to find good company when he could.

A gentle breeze blew past as he continued on his stroll, currently without any form of shade to keep him cool. He didn't really mind all that much. One was always hard-pressed to find around here anyway. With a smile on his face, as usual, the jackal padded along with a slight skip in his step. It'd been a good day so far, really. Nothing dangerous happened, he had breakfast and lunch, no one's tried to eat him (always a relief). Still, it would probably be better if he had someone to keep him company.

As luck would have it, as he reached the peak of a shallow dune he caught sight of someone not too far off, so with a widening smile he hurried down to meet whoever it was. At the back of his mind, of course, he was saying a silent prayer. Just in case, since one could never be too sure, after all.

Lifting her brown eyes from her path she twitches her nose, there was someone coming. With the breeze blowing in her direction she instantly yaps happily. Another Jackal! Wagging her tail she bounds up to the male, her tail going like crazy. "Hai!" she grins, her tongue lolling as she snuffles happily at the new jackal.

"I don't know you! Are you new here? Are you lost?" she frowns a bit "I can help you find your way if you like? I live here, do you live here too?" She blinks and pauses for a moment sitting on her haunches her tongue lolling happily.

"I'm Fleur, it's good to meet you!"

The sudden approach of another jackal surprised him, and as soon as she started talking Jamani found he'd taken a seat and started following her around with simple movements of his head until she stopped well, moving. When she finally had, the ever-present smile of his came back and he let out a little laugh. "I am," he replied, deciding to take replying a little slowly. "I'm not lost, though. At least I don't think so. Then again, I don't have any particular destination so I don't think it's possible for me to get lost anyway."

Upon introducing herself he offered a small bow of his head, simply out of habit. "Good to meet you too, I'm Jamani." After a short pause and looking around a little bit, he tilted his head at the other. "Ah, where am I exactly?"

Smiling lightly the brown and white jackal sits her tail whipping up the sand around her, her tail was never still when she met someone new. "You're in the tuit'tekem lands." She smiles nodding a little affirmative. "I'm glad you're not lost! Would you like to come to the temples with me? It's fun at the temple!" She states her tongue lolling happily for a moment.

"I live with the pride here, I help with the little cubs, but I'm just out on a little explore." She laughs happily "maybe I was supposed to find you huh? I bet you're thirsty, we have a watering hole! Come i'll show you!" She yaps, jumping to her paws once again her tail whacking the air now she was more vertical.

She definitely had him beat when it came to being energetic. Jamani smiled as she answered him with such enthusiasm, glad to have met someone who was so animated for once. Usually he'd meet others like himself, relaxed and calm and okay with the occasional passersby and with having a conversation with them. Different, he considered, was always a good thing every now and again. Quite honestly, he could use a good deal of different. That's what he needed: energy and different.

"Tuit'tekem?" he asked, unfamiliar with the pride, though to be completely honest he was unfamiliar with all of the prides. Every time he ran into a new one he would try to commit it to memory, only to forget it again a couple of days later. It wasn't his fault, not really anyway. He just had a bad memory. His ears perked at the idea of going to someplace that didn't mean endless savanna. "A temple? I'd love to!"

Her excitement seemed contagious, as he felt his own tail beginning to wag of its own accord. "And a watering hole, that'd be great. Lead the way!"

The brown and white dog smiles in a pleased manner, "Yay! Follow me!" She yaps turning back int he direction she had been coming from. "Our temple is awesome, well it's the lions temple, but I live there with a lioness, she's very nice." She grins her tail never still as she leads him further in to the dunes

"It's a very nice pride, full of friendly lions and things." She hummed thoughtfully, at least the lions he knew were all friendly. "I think you'll like it." She nods a very affirmative nod, she liked it here so why shouldn't everyone else.

"This way, this way!"She giggles taking to her heels in a flurry of sand, racing on down the dunes happily, towards the looming buildings of old.

Jamani kept on her tail, wondering exactly what kind of pride was full of nice lions. The last pride he'd happened upon was supposedly full of generally unpleasant lions. Then again that was all hearsay as far as he was concerned, as he'd never actually had a run-in with the any members of the aforementioned pride. Of course it's not that he couldn't believe her, but he just wanted to be careful. So with a grin he followed after Fleur, his tongue starting to loll out a bit from all the running. He was starting to look forward to that watering hole she mentioned more and more.

"And you're sure none of them are gonna try and eat me right?" he asked as they ran, a cloud of sand at their heels. "The last time I met with a lion I remember him giving me fair warning about the lions in the area possibly seeing me as their potential meal, so I'm just making sure."
