Where was she?
Selena was in a building. An old, old building, with ancient cracks and bare brickwork where the plaster was peeling off the walls. She was alone, and it was dark, the only light being from a low sun, streaming in like sunlight through a forest canopy. She couldn’t tell whether it was sunrise or sunset – the sun was low over the horizon, and she wouldn’t be able to tell dusk from dawn unless she looked outside. The dark-haired girl glanced over to where the sun was streaming in from, expecting to be able to see outside, to tell what time of day it was.
Except there were no windows.
The sun was just...emerging from the brick. Like a line of light, straight from solid brick.
Frowning, she gave a sharp gasp, pivoting on the spot as the rattle of a can sounded behind her. She was facing that way in an instant, eyes narrowing to try and see better in the dim light. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up – it was like a sixth sense, just telling her that there was something there, something that was magical. She’d never felt anything like it, a strange power running through her veins, assuring her that it wasn’t a civilian. Acting on the strange new instinct, Selena held her henshin pen up (where that had come from, she wasn’t sure), shouting out into the darkness, “Eos Power, Make Up!”
She was Sailor Eos, poised and ready to attack. But then a very familiar, somewhat annoying voice came from the shadows – “Hey cutie!”. She recognized it. It was that male Senshi, the one who’d saved her in the park. The one who she’d flirted with. Frowning, still completely and utterly confused by this whole scenario, Sailor Eos moved forwards none-the-less, forcing a smile onto her face as Sailor Orion emerged from the shadows with a wide, cocky grin. Eos stopped a decent distance away, but he kept moving towards her, still with the same smile. A smile that was...not right, she could see that now, now he was closer. And he just kept moving towards her. Eos took a step back, but by that time he was right in front of her, giving the girl a strong shove so she stumbled backwards before falling over, giving a yell as she slammed into the hard, stony ground.
“What are you doing!?” she screamed, as he fell on top of her, tugging at her skirt. He didn’t respond, his sickening grin only growing wider and wider. Too wide for a normal person’s mouth, it was larger than his face now, and still growing. “Get off of me!”
And then he did. A huge force lifted him off of the girl, blowing him to the right, and she heard a loud thud as he slammed into the wall. Glancing after him, she gasped as he slumped to the ground, the force of the impact having left a large crack in the wall. And it...it certainly didn’t look like he was breathing. A loud boom sounded to her left, and Sailor Eos’ attention was drawn back to the force that originally moved him off of her.
A giant Negaverse Lieutenant. The one that had kicked her butt, the first time. The dirty blonde one.
And by giant...well, she’d suddenly noticed there was no roof on the building. This lieutenant was that big.
Obviously a kick had been what had originally took Orion off of her, and the giant Valleriite foot was now aimed at her, in a clear stamping motion meant to...well, flatten her. Eos made to stand up, to run. But she suddenly sound herself paralyzed, unable to move from the spot, helpless as the giant foot came down from above...
She screamed.
And she was still screaming as she shot up in bed, pale gray eyes wide open. Scottie rushed in, calmed her down. But all she could see in front of her was the huge foot coming down on her.
