part i: arthur bennett
Name: Arthur Bennett
Nicknames: None; if you call him Arty, it’s unlikely he’ll realize you’re speaking to him.
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Birthday: March 15th
Sign: Pisces
Gemstone: Aquamarine
Blood Type: O+
School: Sovereign Heights - He’s taking a year or two to take care of his grades before he enters the university.
Fav. Food: Wheaties, THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!
Hated Food: Tea, he simply cannot understand what his father enjoys about dead, boiled leaves.
Hobbies: Soccer -- It’s not a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. Arthur has played soccer since he was five years old. He plays on the school team, he plays pickup over the winters and he coaches children’s soccer camp over the summer. If he can’t play soccer, he’s playing hacky sack. When he’s not in class and practice is over, he’s watching any sort of soccer he can find on the television, even if it’s in another language.
Singing -- Arthur’s expressive, so his iPod is loaded with songs he loves to sing along to. He always plays ‘Eye of the Tiger’ before each and every game, bellowing at the top of his lungs much to his teammates’ dismay. (Just because he likes to sing does not mean he‘s ever improved!) If you listen carefully, it’s rumored you can hear him singing under his breath as he plays his games.
Texting -- Not one to care much for classes, he passes the time by texting his teammates (and any adoring fans he might have). While they may no longer be teammates after graduation, Arthur makes sure he keeps in touch. No one’s immune, he texts all the pretty girls, classmates, that guy he met on the bus last week. If you give Arthur your number, expect to get some of the most bizarre texts you’ll ever get.
Pantry Raid -- This boy can eat. It doesn't have to be fancy, in fact, Arthur would prefer it simple. A mixing bowl full of cereal? Sign him up! With all the physical activity he does, Arthur spends a lot of time gathering enough energy. He always seems to be thinking about the next snack, what's for dinner, how he can convince the lunch lady to give him three slices of pizza instead of two. He's not terribly picky, so if he sees it on your plate, he's probably going to ask for it.
Virtues: Bros before hoes -- The soccer team was practically a brotherhood; you look out for yours, and they look out for you. As captain of his prize-winning crew, Arthur has always felt like the shepherd to his flock. If they can’t function as a unit, they’ll surely lose so he’s one of the first to encourage ‘bonding’ activities. He doesn’t think twice about lending a hand to one of his own, no matter what the favor may be. He seriously discourages infighting and will often take it upon himself to personally settle any differences that arise between his teammates.
Okay, okay, let’s try it one more time -- Working with a large group of people is neither simple nor quick. Fortunately, Arthur’s patience has a very high threshold and it’s fairly difficult to get him agitated. He also spends part of his summers volunteering at a kids’ soccer camp, where his patience is often exercised to the extremes. He makes a decent teacher, and it also makes him fairly easy to approach. He tends to be good with people, his patience making it easy for him to deal with a variety of different people. Arthur isn't easily discouraged and his patience gives his plenty of room to try something again and again.
It’s all about the heart -- Arthur wasn’t just born good, and while he might tell you his soccer prowess is completely natural, he is aware that he wouldn’t be where he is today without all the work he’s put in. He loves his sport, but just loving isn’t enough in this day and age. If he isn’t practicing, he’s playing with his hacky sack and in the case his teacher has confiscated it, he’s looking up scores on his phone or working out a new move for his team to try at practice. Arthur doesn’t play soccer, he lives soccer. It's unfortunate he can't seem to get into school like that, because his passion never seems to fizzle once it's been ignited. He's easy to get excited about a lot of things, and while soccer remains his one true love, he invests a lot of heart into almost everything he does, especially where a group is concerned. And if Arthur's excited? Chances are, he's going to try and get those around him excited about the activity at hand as well!
Sleep is for the weak! -- Dedication and passion are all well and good, but not without the self-motivation to go and get what you want. Arthur knows what he wants, he knows what he needs to do and he doesn’t need to be told twice to go and get it. In fact, good luck holding him back! Chomping at the bit, it’s a common belief that Arthur Bennett is tireless; he is, in fact, secretly the Energizer bunny. Even though the boy lives a very active lifestyle, he's never seen snoozing in class or shirking his captainly duties. He doesn't even crash on the couch when his mother finally gets him home for dinner! He runs, he practices, he goes to school, he practices some more, he argues with his mother until he finally does his homework, goes out to bond with his teammates some more…when does this guy sleep, anyways?
Flaws: Can’t hear you over the sound of my own awesome -- Confidence comes with a price: ego. Arthur knows nothing of modesty. He’s worked very hard to become the player that he is, and he’ll be the first to tell you all about it. Happy to bask in the spotlight, he’s beginning to have a hard time believing he will ever be felled. After being captain of a championship team and being selected for a full ride scholarship, Arthur’s under the impression there’s nothing he can’t do, whether it involves his sport or otherwise. Confidence is all well and good, but he’s slowly become blind to areas he could stand to improve, especially as far as his schoolwork's concerned. (Soccer trumps school, right? Right?)
Priorities, what priorities? -- Arthur has one priority: soccer! With soccer comes his team, and now you know exactly who dictates his life. While he might have been the captain of his team, it certainly didn’t make him the leader anywhere but on the field. His priorities are the well-being of his team and his own personal goal of playing for Manchester United. School? Not that important. Chores? What are those again? Laundry? It’s not that dirty, is it?
Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places -- So, funny thing about having an ego. Arthur really likes to have it stroked. He’ll go out of his way to look super impressive on the field and he’s not above being a ball hog if he gets to be the star of the show one more time. He’ll dig for compliments and he tends to get pretty sour if he’s been knocked out of the limelight for too long. While he understands that sometimes the other players do actually have a better game than he does…he’s the star, okay? It doesn't matter what Arthur's succeeded in, a good game, scoring a hot date, not failing the most recent test; he wants to be recognized for all the victories in his life. Would it kill you to give him one little pat on the back?
You don’t really think you can beat me, do you? -- Arthur loves to win, but it’s not just soccer. He’ll challenge you to anything athletic, because he’s almost certain he can win! But what about other aspects of life, you ask? If Arthur thinks he’s outclassed, he doesn’t bother. Why? Because he’s a terribly sore loser! It’s a good thing it doesn’t happen very often at all, or he might become the source of his own infighting. The larger his ego gets before he’s checked back down to size, the quicker he is to blame others before himself. Grades also fall under this category, which explains Arthur's resistance to homework. If he doesn't accept the challenge, he can't fail. (It's a shame school doesn't work like that.) He doesn't like talking about them, hates homework and does what he can to avoid paying attention in class.
Physical Description:
Hair: While naturally a brunette, Arthur's hair is currently highlighted with light blue streaks. (School spirit, okay?!) His hair is messy and falls just past his nape. He often ties it up in mini-ponytails for games and practice.
Eyes: His eyes are grey, but beyond that, nothing particularly interesting.
Face: His face is pretty square with a fairly defined jawline, as well as a fair skin tone. There's a smattering of freckles across his nose, which tend to intensify whenever he sees the sun. He's usually got a pretty smug look about him.
Body: Built like an athlete, naturally! He's svelte rather that stacked, more a panther than a lion. Arthur's actually a little on the shorter side, only coming to about 5'7", but he's well proportioned.
Fashion: If he's not in uniform (for either school or sport), he's wearing Manchester United jerseys. Fashion has no meaning for him, nor does the term 'formal'. It's unlikely he owns anything beyond jeans, jerseys and t-shirts with team logos on them.

part ii: parallel cavalier glaucus
Challenge: For the prince/I’ll be the last thing you see!
Weapon: Rapier - Perikles, “surrounded by glory” Effect: A wound from Perikles leaves the victim disoriented. They slowly lose their sense of all things familiar, such as where they are and who their teammates might be, as well as what the goal was. The longer the wounds go untreated, the more intense the confusion becomes. If left completely untreated, the forgetfulness runs the possibility of becoming amnesia.
Hobbies: Hiking -- Glaucus has a lot of energy to spend, and so spend it he does. He hikes the same trail every time, day in and day out. If he’s feeling ambitious, he’ll jog it, or even try to run sprints. Comfortable with the familiar, it would take a heavenly act to force him to change his path.
Movie marathon -- Hell yes he will stay up and watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy with you! Glaucus never seems to get tired, so bring on the action movies! If he can’t be out doing something, he wants to be watching someone do something. It doesn’t have to be accurate, or realistic, just interesting and exciting! (So leave your romantic comedies at home, bro, because until there are battle scenes and people dying, he does not care.)
Chillin’ with the bawss -- Not your traditional hobby, but Glaucus certainly does it enough for it to be considered such. He thinks about his next plan to win Hector’s favor with a little more conviction than is healthy, but those are just details, really. It doesn’t particularly occur to him that this may not be, in fact, the best way to impress the Captain. Is it a borderline hero worship? Why yes, yes it is.
Virtues: Steadfast -- Glaucus has always been there for you, and he always will be! Once his loyalties have been aligned, he won’t be swayed by hard times or other opinions. The same goes for his own opinions, courses of action, everything. Once he’s made up his mind, he’s not about to go waffling over it, no matter what anyone says. Indecision is a sign of weakness and he’s not going to be caught in that trap. His stress levels are basically non-existent, so he can handle others if they're the indecisive ones and he is all for your last minute planning (after all, this is sort of tradition for the Cavaliers, it seems).
All for one, and one for all! -- Glaucus is a team player. While he obviously has a little bit of hero worship going on for Hector, he is more than happy to be partnered up with any of his fellow Cavaliers. After all, as long as they stick to the plan (or even better, stick to the original plan), he has no issues with any of them! Generally pretty easy-going, Glaucus makes no attempt to put himself in a position of power over the others. After all, they have a prince, captain and vice-captain, so what they need are loyal cavaliers, not in-fighting! If his partner wants to take the lead, Glaucus will hand him the reins and sit back for the ride.
Yes sir, whatever you say, sir -- Obedient is his middle name. Glaucus knows exactly who he answers to, so when you say jump, expect the answer to be nothing but ‘how high, sir!’. He does not argue if he does not agree, because he knows his place. If it turns out badly…well, he gave it his best effort! He is happy to work, he likes the role, because Glaucus wants to feel needed and useful and he knows that the Captain (and the Prince) must surely know best. Hector and Alexandros haven't led them astray so far, so he sees no reason to start doubting the twins now.
Wanna go again? -- Gone for a run? Check. Done the errands? Check. Sparred? Double check. His energy seems endless, so go ahead and give him another task. Glaucus likes pressure, and he likes to be kept busy. He’s unlikely to complain about chores (well, not unless you’re affronting his dignity), so go ahead. Load Glaucus up like the workhorse he is, because he's probably more dangerous with pent-up energy anyways. His obedience allows him to graciously accept any task assigned to him, but it's his expanse of energy that allows him to see it all the way through without falter.
Flaws: Don't fix what isn't broken -- A strong resolve is all well and good, but sometimes Glaucus just takes it too far. Once his mind’s made up, he refuses to change his opinion, even if he’s been proven wrong. What makes him decisive also makes him incredibly mulish. He’s insufferable and often ignores logical arguments. He won’t hear what he doesn’t want to, not where his opinions are concerned.
Glaucus also happens to be a creature of habit, and he will not be pleased if you ruin his routine. There is always a large block of time scheduled to ‘see what happens’, but every morning, he does everything in the same order. Before bed, the same thing happens and he will follow his routine, damnit. He runs the same exact miles, always eats the same exact cereal, and uses the same shampoo, every time. If it works, it works, and he sees no reason to ruin a perfectly good thing. If the balance of power were ever to tip within the Cavaliers, or even worse, someone underwent a drastic personality change, Glaucus would have a cow and immediately try to bring everything back to the way it was before. He does not handle change well, not in the least.
Missing the fish for the water -- Small details tend to escape in favor of the big picture. If asked to remember what time they encountered that enemy last night, the answer will, undoubtedly, be something along the lines of ‘…I don’t know…it was dark…so it was night.’ Very detailed plans tend to get pretty muddled fairly easily, often leading him to improvise, or, in the worst case scenario, throw out a plan all together in favor of a well-known routine (which is likely Hector‘s STAB IT TO DEATH tactic…what? If it works, it works; Glaucus isn’t particularly concerned with the details!).
I’m just a little emotion today, gawd -- Glaucus tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. You’ll always know how he’s feeling, be he smiling with a mega-watt grin or trying to kill you with his death stare from across the room. If you ask him what’s wrong, be ready to sit down and get an earful. He’s anything but covert, so be careful if you plan on telling him a secret. (It’s only a matter of time before it’s found out.) Even if he won’t say it out right, his actions always give away exactly how he’s feeling. Being easy to read tends to make him fairly predictable, especially where his routines are concerned.
A moment in the spotlight -- Every group has to have a brownnoser! He’s not captain, he’s not vice-captain, but he doesn’t particularly want to be, as long as he’s getting some attention. Glaucus is the most loyal Cavalier you’re ever going to get, so, yeah. Sometimes, he’d like a little recognition! And if he has to suck up to get that well-deserved spotlight? You better believe he is all over that sucking up. If Glaucus begins to feel like Hector might not be paying him the attention he deserves (he doesn’t ask for a lot, honest!), he gets sulky. He reads like an open book, after all, and loyal as he might be, it doesn’t stop Glaucus from getting sour.

part iii: why?
Why Arthur?
Who else will sing Eye of the Tiger for you every time you charge headlong into battle?
Extreme charisma aside, Arthur’s a very dedicated young man, and he’s in great shape. He knows exactly what teamwork is and now that he’s graduated and been split up from his soccer team, he needs a new group to invest time into. So yes, expect constant texts, because he wants to know where you are and what you are up to all the time. He’ll be living in the dorms at Sovereign Heights and while he might be there to fix up his grades before heading off to university, Arthur’s only there because his father made him go. If you need him for a few hours (or days, even better) he will be more than happy to cut a few classes and bumble around the city with you.
While used to being the leader, Arthur’s disapproval for infighting outweighs his desire to call the shots and his generally relaxed nature makes him pretty easy to be around. More independent that Glaucus, he’s able to make decisions on his own if required, which may come as a relief after the Cavalier’s tendency to stick to Hector like glue. Dedicated and self-motivated, you can be sure once you set him to task, you won’t need to ride him about it. Who doesn’t like the good old point-and-shoot?
Arthur and Glaucus
Arthur and Glaucus will strike up a very interesting dynamic and, for the most part, appear to mesh well. Arthur is athletic and will be able to stand up to Glaucus’ inability to stay still. They’re both very at ease within the group, able to work with anyone and they both try to avoid in-fighting. They’re also both blindingly confident, under the assumption they are able to tackle anything you toss their way. Arthur thinks he’s all but invincible and will have no complaints about Glaucus rushing headlong after Hector into the thick of battle. With their overwhelming confidence comes with a boatload ego on both their parts, and neither are shy about getting someone to tell them just how wonderful they are. Entitled? Maybe just a little bit, though Glaucus certainly more than his host.
Arthur is almost inflexible as Glaucus is, especially when it comes to plans that work. Don’t fix what isn’t broken! Neither are terribly concerned with the intellectual side of things and neither are about to conceal their feelings from you, either. While Arthur sings when he‘s pleased (in the shower, in the car, on the bench) and makes everyone miserable when his ego’s been ruffled, Glaucus just wears his heart on his sleeve, but they relate easily to how one another is feeling. While they express it differently, they’re both very see-through when it comes to emotion.
One dependable and one self-motivated, their work ethics are compatible. Their first instinct always revolves around their teammates and their ability to work together; the only true difference between Glaucus and Arthur comes in their role in the team. Arthur is used to being the leader, captain of his high school team for the past three years, and Glaucus would never dream of being anything but Hector’s loyal cavalier. Having been just a player in the past, Arthur will have to learn to cope. That doesn’t mean being shoved out of the spotlight won’t bother him, however, and unless they collectively find a suitable alternative, Glaucus’ quest for Hector’s approval will morph into something much harder to obtain: a quest for the captain’s praise.

part iv: parallel court speculations
Please note these are just speculations based on profiles~
Glaucus and Alexandros
As far as Glaucus is concerned, Alexandros is ‘the man’. He does what Hector says, and Hector does what Alexandros says. He’s the prince, after all, and that’s just sort of the way things work. Sometimes what he says goes sailing over Glaucus’ head (not that he’d be so quick to admit to such) and while he smiles and nods, he just can’t get on the save wavelength as the prince. Oh, he’d do anything for Alexandros, he’s the prince, but he just can’t understand that guy sometimes.
Glaucus and Hector
When all else fails, turn to Hector. Actually, strike that. Before anything has the chance to fail, turn to Hector! Glaucus might rely just a little too heavily on his leader for direction as opposed to the team as a whole and is often going about seeking his approval. Where Alexandros is just a little too clever for Glaucus, Hector speaks his language. After all, his plans are simple, and they work. Things that don’t need a lot of explanation are a-okay in his book.
He can also appreciate the camaraderie Hector tries to aspire among all the Cavaliers. They’re all brothers here (though that doesn’t stop Glaucus from picking a favorite). He certainly admires his dedication, and perhaps on some deep, unknown level, actually aspires to be more like his fearless captain.
Glaucus and Laocoon
Glaucus does not approve of Laocoon’s habit of ‘back-seat driving’ when it comes to Hector, being the captain’s number one fan and all. There’s never been a problem with leadership before, so there is absolutely no reason for Laocoon to try and change things up. While he’d never confront Hector or Laocoon about it, he’d certainly start trying to murder Laocoon with death glares from across the room if he ever thought it was getting out of hand.
Glaucus and Ares
Ahh, his senshi partner. An easy guy to get along with, Glaucus will make his best attempt to stay on good terms with her. After all, he does not tolerate infighting well, and she’s included in his team. He’s especially appreciative of her own desires to stick to the plan (because those who change it up can only expect Glaucus revert back to the tried and true). The problem? Ares actually has a plan, and Glaucus would much rather stick to Hector’s way of doing things.

part v: a blurb about arthur
One day, soccer fans worldwide will know the name Arthur Bennett.
Until the day comes that he is Manchester United’s star striker, Arthur will remain one of DCU’s recruited freshman. Having played soccer as long as he can remember, it’s almost Arthur knows! His social life consists of bonding with his team, practicing with his team and crushing opposing schools, with his team. What? Arthur loves his team! As captain of a small suburban high school soccer team, he lead them fearlessly to quite a few championships. Can’t win them all, of course, but his record was nothing shy of impressive. They were all split up for college, but he still keeps in touch.
Arthur’s proud of his talent, but he’s willing to share it. For the past few years, he’s been coaching soccer summer camp. He doesn’t get paid, but it gives him an excuse to play soccer all day long. To be completely honest, he does enjoy working with the kids, especially the ones who take to hero worship by the end of camp. As noble as his intentions might be, there is no denying Arthur’s little bit of ego completely relishes the idea of being tailed by children and being treated like a superstar.
He never gets tired of the spotlight, and while he might be willing to share, just be careful you don’t displace Arthur for too long, or he might come barreling back to the surface with purpose. He doesn’t need constant ego stroking, because he does realize he‘s talented. Arthur also realizes it has a lot to do with the hours of practice he puts in daily, but he’s okay with that. He loves his sport, after all, and he won’t be scouted if he’s sitting on the sidelines. More than alright with a little hard work, it’s pretty difficult to get Arthur to focus on anything doesn’t relate to his passion.
One of his biggest troubles comes in the form of school. While he certainly isn’t a ‘dumb jock’, his grades don’t really reflect it. Perhaps Arthur never failed a class in high school, he certainly wasn’t on the honor roll, either. Soccer always came before homework, came before everything else, much to his parents dismay. While they rarely agree on anything, Arthur’s priorities (or lack thereof, perhaps) are something both of them disapprove of.

Glaucus and Arthur seem like a very interesting pair.
The only thing I see that might be a problem is the fact you say there's no I in team and states that he knows the team can't function as a unit.
Then down in flaws you say he's always wanting the limelight, he hogs the ball. How does this work with his "There's no I in team" This maybe a little too contradictory for comfort, at least for one character, speically a soccer player. I mean I can see why you might have this, you just may want to be careful with it.
Though if Glaucus had one, and Arthur had the other it might make more sense?

I kinda disagree LP: He can want his team to succeed and work well together and still have the desire to look like the best member of it, an MVP if you will. Being a showoff doesn't make him a lone wolf.

Thanks for looking him over, LP. :]
Ryu's already said it better than I can explain, I think, but yeah. Just because he likes the limelight doesn't mean he can't function in a group. If there was no team, what would he be the star of, you know? I think perhaps the title of that virtue threw you off a little?

I really like Arthur and Glaucus. C: Nothing major jumps out at me.
However, a lot of Arthur's traits are focused on soccer and it seems like he's a soccer maniac (which I'm sure he is) and that those traits only seem to apply to soccer. Perhaps add in some other examples/desc. that doesn't apply to soccer?
Just curious, does Glaucus only watch action movies, or would he be willing to watch chickflicks and slashers? :'D
Steadfast The part about having no plan seemed out of place to me, as you were talking about never straying from his opinions/values and then BAM. I can sorta understand why you have it, but perhaps remove/rework it so that it relates to the trait more?
Wanna go again? This may just be me, but when you say he'll be more than happy to do your homework, chores, etc. seemed more like obliging/obedient than having boundless energy.
Don't fix what isn't broken Later part sounds OCD. I'm sure Fallon will like this. xD /shot
You also have a couple grammar errors/typos throughout your quest, extra info posts included. ^^

Thanks for the crit, Syu!
I'm going to try and take your suggestion, explain these traits off the soccer pitch as well as on. I didn't even think of that, and appreciate you bringing it to my attention!
Glaucus only wants action movies, bro. His attention span is noooot long enough for anything that requires him to look for hints of these things called 'plots'.
Hmm, I think I'll also try to reword those traits as well. I see what you mean about tireless beginning to sound like obedient. Oops.
I really appreciate having someone else glance over it. I'll make sure to repay the favor! <3
EDIT: Okay, attempted to fix/clarify/reword as well as add some not-soccer explanations. Also gave Arthur another hobby, lulz.
