Has anyone seen any good movies lately? I just saw "How to Train Your Dragon" (in 3D!) yesterday with my brother. It nearly made me cry it was so cute.
I want to see Clash of the Titans, has anyone else seen it?

Toothless was too adorable in that movie but Hiccup annoyed me somewhat. He was a little too...I guess set in the mindset that he was "too weak" to do anything. But over all, I did enjoy the movie. <3
...plus, why were all the adults Scottish but the kids weren't? Did the vikings in the movie grow an accent as they got older? XD
I adore movies, though. What type do you typically go for?

Clash of the Titans is a must see especially on 3d. I loved the movie, the story is great but it seems repetitive after Percy Jackson because of the similar storyline. And movie tickets are a pain they're ******* expensive but after watching the movie you won't regret it.

I don't like going to movie theaters because of the chatter. I don't really know what prices go for nowadays, but i think the last time I went they were about $7.00.
I've seen a lot of the new movies, I make sure to see them once they come out. I haven't seen Avatar yet, but I've heard the graphics are amazing. I've also been waiting to see Alice in Wonderland for a year now (last March).
I'm not even sure what's out right now, to be honest.

That movie doesn't appeal to me, actually. I saw a preview for it and thought to myself "Their just trying to make another comedy like Knocked up, Pineapple Express, Superbad, etc".
Since they are such big hits and always with the same actors, it's getting boring for me. I do love Seth Rogen, though.
That's just my opinion.

LOL, I didn't even notice the accent thing until you brought it up! Usually I like action or comedy. But honestly, I pretty much like anything except horror... except I like Silent Hill. Go figure. xd John Reese Clash of the Titans is a must see especially on 3d.
XemokyleX Carolina says...Carolina says...OMG, u gotta see KICK a**!!!!!!! Both of those are already on my list! My boyfriend saw Kick a** and he was raving about it. She and Him I don't like going to movie theaters because of the chatter. I don't really know what prices go for nowadays, but i think the last time I went they were about $7.00.
Where I'm at, $7.00 is just for the early matinee shows. If you want to go at night it's $10. gonk The prices just went up recently. And I know what you mean about the chatter and those texters... neutral

Aha, I adore accents so it's typically the first thing I notice. Plus the Scottish accent is my favorite. <3
And you're like me with movies. I'll watch just about anything as long as it's not horror...and I've even tried to watch that but I just cannot stomach it. Especially psychological horror/thrillers. D:
I'll suggest some of the ones on my desk right now then, they're already released so you probably saw them some of them already. XD
Wall-E Up Watchmen (I dislike a lot of the gore in the movie but I have to admit, it is VERY well done. The fighting scenes are just about the most realistic I have seen.) Oh Brother, Where Art Thou Amadeus Hogfather
I can give a summary of each if you're interested. I'll dig through my movie bookcase for some comedy and adventures movies as those listed are just what I have lined up to watch again. xD

I adore Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. It's surprising it wasn't a huge hit. Apparently it's one of Clooney's lowest selling movies.
I've also seen Wall-E and Up from the ones you listed. Both are very cute movies. I actually went and bought Up for a cute flick to watch some nights or for when my niece and/or nephews come over.

Really? o.O Oh Brother, Where Art Thou is a FANTASTIC movie. Maybe because it's a more "artsy" type film than his regular movies...but even then, the story is great, I love how they filmed it, and it is rather funny. xD

It's a great movie. The music is especially good.
It's not a very well known movie compared to his other movies, so that's not helping it sell either.

It's no where near as bad as the unnecessary gore/fight scenes as in Pan's Labyrinth That movie is FANTASTIC story, costume, and set wise but certain scenes are just...nauseating for me to watch. D: Like where the evil step father bashes in the guy's nose...repeatedly, without stopping. x.x I do still find that Watchmen redeemed itself in the fact that it could have done much worse with the gore and whatnot plus, even though he died/exploded, the movie made me grow very attached to a certain character. Which is honestly difficult for anything to do to me, especially in the short span of a movie. I'm a little jaded due to being an English major. I nitpick EVERYTHING now when it comes to characters or stories. XD

Yes. ^^
Not sure if that is a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it/wants to see it who hasn't read the comic so I didn't say his name. D: But he is one of the better characters I have come across. Mentally unstable, yes, but his actions are believable (based upon his mental instability), likable, and interesting.
