Senshi Name: Sailor GianfarName: Dietrich St. GeorgeNicknames: Di, deedeeGender: MaleAge: 18Height: 6'1"Birthday: February 2ndSign: AquariusGemstone: AmethystBlood Type: O-Fav. Food: Meats, spicy foods, ice creamHated Food: yogurt, peas, grapes. School: Soverign Heights – a transfer student studying Environmental Science. Hobbies:
Outdoor Activites- Anything outdoorsy. Hiking being the primary thing he enjoys- he can just grab a backpack full of a few things and be on his merry way. He also loves swimming, fishing, hunting, camping, and canoeing. Obviously most of these activities are group activities for safety. So you can often find Dietrich leading trail walks, teaching kids to fish, or even signing up for canoe trips with anyone from his age group up to tag-teaming the more adventurous senior-expeditions. He feels that this is not only a good way to get people out of their chairs and into nature but a great way to make them appreciate the world around them and perhaps take better care of it. This hobby can also be alone time for him but the majority of it is group activities. Unfortunately, these activities are limited to maybe one weekend a month. As much as he would love to do these things more, school and other activities crowd his time.
Motorcycle Riding- Di has a need for speed. He loves motorcycles, and owns his own. He has hybrid that’s semi solar powered. (He had dubbed his motorcycle his 'noble steed') It’s one of his only activities that’s truly ‘solo’ time, so its also his ‘summer time thinking time’. He will sometimes take his bike out just to drive around and have alone time. He will take others for rides if they want, but he is really picky about who drives it so expect to ride behind him. He also has a side car he found so he can bring along two passengers if planned, otherwise the sidecar collects dust. Di knows a little mechanics, enough to tinker a little and fix minor problems if needed. He doesnt ride his motorcycle when the weather is extreme, or when theirs bad traffic. He will hop a bus instead.
Eco-Friendly - Dietrich is pro-green, in the sense that he likes to conserve energy, recycle all recyclible material, and buy organic products (when he can afford it and if there isn't a farmer's market nearby). He believes that it's the little things we do to conserve the planet will save it. This practice, however, doesn't extend to his motorbike -- he prefers to ride his hybrid motorcycle whenever he can, using the bus only when there's too much traffic or when the weather is bad.
Go Planet! - Basically, Dietrich is a tree hugger. Whenever there's an environmental protest, it's not surprising to see him there with all the other tree huggers. While he may not be extreme enough to drive spikes into trees in order to prevent clear cut logging, he'll be more than happy to join in on a protest march. He'll even try to get the local high school students interested in helping out with the environment on trash clean-up days, or to get them to go out on a nature hike. It is his goal to spread the word about the environment and raise awareness with it, but don't let him catch you littering! He'll invade personal space and deliver a lecture on the importance of the environment. After all, we're all in it together to defend our planet!
Survivor Man- Dietrich is bound and determined to be ‘one of them’, and by them he means one of those people who can survive even if they get lost or separated in that great wide world. He’s studied tracking, trails, survival and even how to trap food and knows quite a number of edible plants. He also knows a few medicinal plants. While he may not be ready for his own TV series it makes him useful for search and rescue missions and a big hit with some of the boy scouts. He emphasizes things like being aware of your surroundings and never taking it for granted when something seems out of place. He even knows a few things about ‘Urban Survival’ after all, who wouldn’t want to make sure they did with all the strange things happening in Destiny City of late. He may not be ready for Queen Beryl, but if they flood the streets he’ll know just what to do.
Scavenger- One persons trash, anothers treasure! Di looks for things in the outdoors/trash cans/ peoples lawns and turns them into jewelry, or all sorts of things! Skulls, cans, beads, rocks, anything really that strikes his interest at the time. Why trash things when they can be re used! Less land filled space the better! A human sized raccoon he is. Some of the things sold and others are just hanging up in his house looking for a home or collect dust. Virtues:
There for you - An accident in the past that nearly took the life of a childhood friend awoke a sense of protection within Dietrich. He will do his best to be there for his friends, from horrible break-ups to watching another's back to being prepared with a bandaid and a first-aid kit. He wants to be there for his friends, no matter what the circumstances. Usually he is just a text message away, thought it might be hard to get replies if he is asleep, he is the person that can be counted on to bail a friend out of jail at 3:42 am in the morning. Dietrich won't be anyone's booty call, though.
Careful thinker/Planner- Di is not the kind of person who jumps to conclusions, he weighs the pro's and cons of the situation before leaping in. He will try to come to the easiest and simplest solution that will be the most efficient. When it comes to a split second decision he still tries his best to give the right answer. He will usually babble to himself out loud, and if with a group he will discuss things with them.
Courageous- Dietrich believes, that more than mother earth is in need of defending. He's brave enough to stand in a protest line in front of a bull dozer, but he's also someone who will step into a situation to try and defend those whom he believes can't defend themselves. He may not always pick the right person to champion, after all people are so much more complicated than protecting the planet. But for him it's part of being a 'good person'.
Flaws:
Up close and personal- Dietrich does and WILL get all up in your personal space. He has no sense of personal boundaries, and will probably end up leaning all over you even if you do not like it. He has been known to sometimes randomly sit in peoples laps if he felt like it. He also HAS to 'fix' things for you without asking permission. That bow tie angles wrong? He'll fix it! Stain on your shirt, or something on your face? No worries he will wipe it off for you. If somehow you do not like this privacy invasion and push him away, he will normally shrug it off for the time being. Though he tends to forget those whom don't like it... and eventually ends up in their space again.
TMI- Di is put off by people not telling "the whole story." To him, it feels like malicious intent to the point that he often tries too hard to make sure he's never suspected of telling half the story. In his determination, though, he sometimes goes too far and says too much. No one really needed to know where that tick ended up, and that particular method of distilling water when you can’t find any is not dinner conversation even if you found it an amazing and useful fact. That isn’t to say he’s never evasive himself. Dietrich is known to sometimes shamelessly elaborate on things if we feels they need a little bit more oomph. Its not lying necessarily, but its not the full truth!
Bullshits- sometimes people he doesn’t trust want to know things he’d rather not say. Like most people he has his own evasions for questions he doesn’t want to answer. However he takes this to a whole new ‘art form’, he makes no attempts to hide the fact that he’s being evasive. After all, who could ever believe that wolves living in the wilds of Hawaii raised him and that his first love was a DoDo bird named Pinkie. The story changes at least a little every time he’s asked, some people find this entertaining, other’s may find it insulting. Those who know him well know well that it’s not some chronic behavior, nor is it out of malicious intent, but that it’s a coping mechanism for him when he’d rather not talk about something.
righteous/honorable: He won't throw the first punch and will leap at the chance to save/protect somebody, heedless of the situation or his own consequences. Once the first attack on him is made though, he will strike back.
History: Dietrich has history with a Childhood friend. He was separated from his friend at the age of 14. When his parents were driving his friend to their house from the airport there was a car crash, his parents died and his friend was assumed to be dead as well. Dietrich never found out if it was a accident or not, his father being a business man he had accumulated enemies that Di knew idly about. Dietrich was taken to his grandfathers house to be raised.
Only when he was 20- he discovered his childhood friend was actually alive. This is what caused him to transfer schools, move to destiny city, and meet up again with his old friend.
Physical Description:
SEE: REF IMAGES XD
Challenge: "Its just a flesh wound." Attacks:
1- Any attack done to him has equal damage done to the attacker, but he cannot actually attack anyone himself during this time, only be attacked. If somehow he attacks during this time period, his own damage is directed back at him as well (For not being honorable!) Lasts for 3 minutes. Can be used 3 times a battle. Note: Gianfar can still feel the hit, but the enemy feels it at the same power as well. 2- Honorable Favor- To use this- he needs to ask someone, anyone, to give him a favor to his arm. If they say yes- a cloth magically appears wrapped around his arm. Same effect as Honor except the attack is bounced back twice as hard. The effect stays in place until he does something dishonorable, or the arm band is ripped/falls off. Can be used twice a battle. Note: Gianfar can still feel the hit, but the enemy feels it twice as hard on themself.

Sadly, we already have a Robin D: Policy is only one name in use, so unless you're willing to have him be just Rob, or a Robert, new name is needed.
I adore St George as a surname for a sphere like Chivalry <3 <3
Hobbies need more info. And possibly add another social hobby, since the Motorbike and being Eco-Friendly are solitary activities?
Er, you also keep switching between 'he/his' and 'she/hers' for Robin >.>
Observant strikes me as OP, the way you write it. "Mind boggling speed"? Also, hyper-awareness is something I'd expect more from a trained soldier on a hair-trigger, not from a hunter/camper. In my experience, hunters and campers are more about reading the changes around them than they are about 'instantly knowing'.
Definitely more info on Courageous needed.
The trust/loyalty thing is one a lot of people have used. You need to really put your own spin on it. Why does Robin have trust issues? Why the hell would he go camping or sleep near people he doesn't trust? I thought wilderness training/survival was all about the building of trust...
You're not writing Outspoken as much as you are writing Blunt or Honest to the Point of Being Insulting. Which is also very overused. Personalise it, or write an actual Outspoken flaw (more about always speaking up, always having an opinion, always trying to impress upon others that My Opinion Is Always Right, etc.), or drop and find another.
I don't see much meshing going on in all the virtues and flaws. They seem a bit random and thrown-together for me. Maybe all they need is some polishing so that we can see how they work together, or maybe you're trying to do too much at once. Decide what the most important flaw and virtue both are, then build around those.
History isn't needed. Though you might want to consider why on earth he would choose to join a college if he's only here to find a friend, and is only interested in backpacking/hiking around, not actually in studying for a career?
The attacks don't have anything to do with Chivalry, for me. More to do with being a Senshi of Knights or Senshi of Jousting. You also need to limit it and describe the limits - how many times per battle can it be used, how long does he have to wait after each use to 'catch his breath'? And consider that if the attack gives him 'incredible speed', it likely won't give him much of a power boost. Does he actually have a lance for this attack (remembering that you can't have a physical weapon for attacks, energy only)? I think the horse illusion is going to be a bit much for a first level attack.

Phew XD Kali would you mind re reading the above? With help i changed a lot of the information according to what you said needed revision?
Also- for the attacks.
Chivalry- The word is derived from the French word "chevalerie", itself derived from "chevalier", which means knight, derived from "cheval", horse (indicating one who rides a horse).
In other words- Chivalry MEANS Knight. And to me Knight also means Jousting- thus the Visage of the attacks.
The visage had nothing to do with the attack its more of a 'fear' thing. Overall the only thing it does really attack wise- is he bashes into you. The visage is just a illusion. Maru helped me make these attacks so yeah @_@

Word origin /=/ definition or meaning.
chiv·al·ry (shĭv'əl-rē) n. pl. chiv·al·ries
1. The medieval system, principles, and customs of knighthood. 2. a. The qualities idealized by knighthood, such as bravery, courtesy, honor, and gallantry toward women. b. A manifestation of any of these qualities.
For me, "he bashes into you" has nothing to do with chivalry, the code of conduct a knight lives by. If you're stuck for ideas, here are a few off the top of my head: - Gallantry: protection that only works for females, not other male senshi - Gallantry: offensive attacks that only hurt males, not female - Honor: for one or two minutes, any attack done to him has equal damage done to the attacker, but he cannot actually attack anyone himself during this time, only be attacked - Courtesy / Gallantry: physically swaps places to take damage in place of whomever he cast his attack on (maybe works better if it is a female target?)
I'm sure others can suggest more/better ideas for attacks. The ones you have are just far too blunt-instrument for me right now - a senshi of Chivalry should be more refined than that, IMO.
(Of course, other stampers are free to disagree and may approve the app regardless. This is only my opinion, you may want to get a second or third.)

This bit might help you a bit more -- chivalry is a tough word to quantify, but there's generally a lot of emphasis on following a strict honor code, and protecting and serving your superior / fellow countrymen / teh ladeez. If you're uncomfortable creating gender-specific attacks, you can go with the "fellow countrymen" take on chivalric honor and build attacks from there, possibly.

Im not going to make his attacks based off gender. Chivalry isn't just about courtly love- its about a moral code of protecting EVERYONE and about setting a example. Sorry im going to avoid limiting the attacks by gender- i view that as sexist and im NOT comfortable with it XD; (i can see why they would be gender based but im choosing to avoid that.)
What about these?:
1- ON MY HONOR!! – Dietrich removes his glove and sweeps it on front of him as though he is slapping some closer antagonist, and from this sweep arcs a wave of energy that does blunt force damage capable of knocking someone whom was unprepared back or off their feet. He may perform this attack 3 times per battle.
2- ON MY COMRADS HONOR!- Same attack as above except he can use multiple slaps depending on how many ally's are around. Multiple slaps, per go. Can be used twice in battle.
edit:
Honestly Kali i also liked your Honor attack so ill add these up for pondering too:
1- Honor: for one or two minutes, any attack done to him has equal damage done to the attacker, but he cannot actually attack anyone himself during this time, only be attacked. If somehow he attacks during this time period, his own damage is directed back at him as well (For not being honorable!) Can be used 3 times a battle.
2- Honorable Favor- To use this- he needs to ask someone, anyone, to give him a favor to his arm. If they say yes- a cloth magically appears wrapped around his arm. The effect stays in effect until he uses 'honor'. His honor attack is then boosted that any attack he takes is directed back to the attacker- he takes nothing. This power loses effect once Honor runs out. Can be used 3 times a battle.
For Honorable favor- Rose said she saw no issues with this attack powering up the first.

The cavalry/jousting idea for an attack was my idea. ^^ "Chivalry" itself is an umbrella term to encompass several ideas into one thing. The best way to describe it is that chivalry is the box that chocolate candy comes in, and each piece of candy is a different flavor. To focus on one of these aspects neglects the rest of chivalry, in my opinion. Especially honor -- honor is the very REASON that Chivalry works, but there are knights who followed the other aspects of chivalry while neglecting honor (Hai Gawain vs. the Green Knight!).
Chivalry is really difficult to pin-point and narrow down in my opinion. Moreso if you've spent WAY too much time researching/writing about it like me. XDDD (research ruined my fuuuun, baw). In its essence, chivalry was an ancient code/guidelines for knights to follow -- it was like a modern-day "trend" in a way, but with more hype and "WANT!" about it that made it become the Main Thing to do for the upper class. In the Middle Ages, having a horse was like owning a tank: you are more powerful and faster than the flat-footed walking 'peons' that walked and stank everywhere. Chivalry was put into effect to prevent people from mowing down peasants on horseback with their swords and armor, since it was Not Cool and Lame to their peers. And peer pressure is the way to go! 8D
As far as attacks go... "Honor" which reflects attacks doesn't go with chivalry in my opinion, as chivalry is about a person using their own power to defend themselves/others/their ideals. The Cavalier class/faction(s) are a great example of this, as once they plug into a senshi they defend them. =D Thooough since that's done, we'll need to continue digging around the chivalry mythos/history for more ideas.
You could harken back to the Sailor Moon canon and use an attack that is a -hued glowing energy in the shape of a sword/lance/mounted knight/knight/Medieval Symbol Here. The downside is that the attack could have strict guidelines as to how it affects enemies? For instance: - It can't be used against someone unarmed. - It can't be used against someone weaker than him. - It can't hit from behind, front/side only. - It must be used for Just Case/Defending Someone. Not for fun. - Against Evil/Dark/Chaos aka Negaverse/Death Phantom only.
The strict set of rules/guidelines could also become a buff -- he can strengthen his allies if and only if they follow the above guidelines. A huge downside to this and the above suggestion is that it is quite possible for someone to take this OOC knowledge and have their character turn their back to your character at the last moment and nullify the attack. Or, alternatively, such an act ICly could make RP more interesting, as Chivalry would have to rely on his dishonorable allies to help him out. :3
Another way to go about this is to make him defensive. Say, you can have him take the favor-token... but when the person who gives him the favor is attacked, Chivalry is teleported between the person he took a favor from and their attacker, and takes the blow for them? Granted, Chivalry would be ganked around a lot, and possibly spends a long time in the hospital. He would need the token and be physically there between his attacker/who he's defending in order to differ this from Zodiac Sailor Virgo, though.
H'okay, I've certainly babbled on for enough to prove my geekery. XD Now, Onto Dietrich!
Hobbies: What does Dietrich do in his freetime after he's done with this classes? His outdoor activities makes me think that he does those things on the weekends/vacations, and his eco-friendly ways come about when there's protests to be protested. When winter comes around, how does that affect his motorcycle riding? Does he tune it up, repair it, etc? Or does he just use it as a mode of transportation? How does he buy groceries -- does he have an attachable/detachable sidecar?
Survivor Man: Why is this not a hobby?! Finding a guy running around in DC practicing food savaging for when a youma wrecks his home would make for some VERY hilarious RP! Heck, even if said "savaging" is him trying to sneak into a fast food place and hoping no one notices that he's about to buy some food there would be equally funny and entertaining.
Strong Willed: This is coming off as more of a flaw than virtue to me. Is he stubborn? Virtues are things that make people look up to them. The first sentence makes it seem that he takes his time coming to a conclusion, than sticking with said conclusion. Perhaps "careful thinker/planner" would be best? He could weigh the pro's and con's of a plan before choosing the best one that is the fastest way to get it done? Perhaps consider emphasizing his need for speed hinted at in his motorcycle hobby here by making him act quickly/take shortcuts/etc? Though sometimes, cutting corners can lead to a bad thing later on, which might turn it into a flaw...
Courageous: Why would he step in and defend someone who he thinks can't defend themselves when he's distrustful? And on that note, with his Distrustful flaw, if he doesn't trust people... Why does he sign up to go onto week-long outings into the wilderness with them? Why does he volunteer to help kids? Or is he secretive in that he doesn't like talking about himself that much, and prefers to show off his knowledge rather than his past?
All in all, though, you have a REALLY interesting character who looks like LOADS of fun to RP. biggrin His virtues and hobbies need a bit of fixing as far as his civilian persona is concerned, and for Chivalry it's all about finding the right abilities for him. <3 Good luck!
