Lily stood in front of the kennel leash in hand ready to walk Eamon. Just like every Saturday, today would be no different. She would tend to Eamon giving him her undivided attention, before she moved on with the rest of her duties.

Lily grinned lightly knowing that everyone in the shelter had simply deemed Eamon as her's and she was always allowed him first, for her Saturday shifts.

"Come on Eamon," she said opening the kennel, "time for a walk boy."

Her smile only grew brighter as Eamon barked happily at her before settling in to be leashed, his stump of a tailing wagging insanely. With a click the leash was in place and Lily quickly led Eamon out for their walk.

Outside there was a bit of an overcast, but neither Eamon or Lily seemed to take notice or mind it all and started their walk at each other side, watching the passerby give the pair sympathetic glances as well as stopping briefly to tell a boy that no the dog did not have cancer in his tail.

They continued on for several minutes before Eamon suddenly stopping just outside an alley. He looked down the alley, his whole body going instantly alert from his ears to his toes. He stood at attention and Lily looked down at him wrought with confusion. This was behavior he had never exhibited before and Lily did not like it at all.

Tugging at his leash, she tried to get him away. "Come on Eamon. Do not worry. It is probably just a mouse."

Eamon did not heed her, but instead pulled back instinctively at the leash trying to make his way into the alley. Lily tried to resist, but she was pulled along with the golden retriever.

Eamon growled and barked loudly, but even with his noise the hiss words were unmistakable. Lily summoned her henshin pen, "Maia power make-up," she called. In an instant she was Sailor Maia and almost as quickly she had a bright blue, glowing humanoid plasma attempting to take her down and a over protective dog in between her in the youma.

Eamon was knocked to the side with a yelp and momentarily distracted Maia was left vulnerable. She was thrown back slightly as the youma went through her? She wasn't entirely sure. Maia gasped, feeling very disoriented and rather weak. Had she momentarily passed out?

Eamon was at her side in an instant, pulling at her, trying to get her to her feet. She obeyed, turning just in time to narrowly miss another collision with the plasma youma. The youma turned and was after her again, but she was ready this time.

"Sweet Harmony," she cried out before singing the precious notes that would help release her from this nightmare.

She watched as the notes swirled around the youma and slowed it to a creeping halt, before Eamon lurch forward knocking her off her feet and attacking the youma. Maia looked to seem the youma splash out of existence and hear Eamon growl once again.

The growl was followed by a screech, "HOW DARE YOU!!!!"

The outfit that stepped out of the darkness looked much like an older formal nurse’s outfit, only black and embellished with cream accents. The face was only revealed dark, dangerous, glowering eyes.

Maia scrambled to get to Eamon who jump forward to attack the intruder at once.

A loud yelp was heard as the intruder rammed a needle into the dogs shoulder in pushed him violent to the side. Maia starred petrified at the sight, her hearing seemingly multiplied 100 times as she listened to the dog heart last thud.

"EAMON," she screamed out loud for the whole street to hear.

Lily bolted upright in bed, her mouth still hanging open. Her heart was racing and all she could think about was Eamon. She was on her feet and out the door before she had the chance to really realize she was awake. She ran down the hall, thudded down the steps and flung herself out of the front door, never hearing the footsteps echoing her own.

"Lily, no," came a tired but terrified shout as Lily was practically tackled to the ground. She fought against the person, who held her in death grip and shushed at her.

"Lily, it's Xander," cried her brother loudly trying to reach his sister, finally she calmed. Tear flowed from her eyes and she clung to her brother, crying the dog's name over and over.

Xander was at a lost, trying to hold back his tears, "I have them too," he whispered, forcing his sister death from his mind. It was a bad dream he told himself, a nightmare he said out loud.

Lily just cried, at first the nightmare seemed to drop off and life seemed normal, now they came every night. She should have been thankful there was no real altercation in her last one, but Eamon death had been too real. It had hit to hard.

Neither moved they simply clung together in the night air unable to move both knowing they would not sleep again that night.
