Bleez waited outside on the black tarmac of the basketball court. Her mother was in the middle of a tennis match with a friend on the neighboring tennis court. She sighed, extremely bored. Her mother had gotten her a basketball in hopes that she would play while Moira was busy. But without anyone to play with and absolutely NO idea how to play basketball, she just sat there, hugging the ball.

She huffed, pushing a breath of air through the fanged side of her mouth. "This.is.dumb." She laid back on the hard pavement, letting the ball roll away from her.

Damien was a little surprised to find himself near the sport area of the parks, seeing as he had been too engrossed in making a few more trinkets for him and his brother to sell to really pay attention to where his feet were taking him. Actually, looking around, he found himself farther than he'd ever been from his 'house', almost enough to make him worry.

However, any concerns he might have had were put on the back-burner when he felt something bump into his leg. Turning around, he saw a strange orange ball with bumps on it. Gingerly picking it up by balancing it between his clawpoints, he looked around for its owner, wanting to find them quickly before his presence infected it. After a moment of looking, he noticed a someone lying on the ground looking upset. He cocked his head to the side, then set the ball on the ground and pushed it gently towards them. Even if the ball wasn't theirs, they looked like they could need one.

Bleez had noticed her ball had rolled off, but didn't care where too. So, she was a bit surprised when it came back and bumped into her side. A little startled, she jerked her head to side, spotting the culprit ball-returner. "'Ey," she lifter herself without taking her eyes off the spawn, "Wanna.play?" She placed her non-clawed hand on the ball and pushed it back towards Damien.

Damien hadn't expected to be addressed by the vertical person, who turned out to be a girl, and so froze when he was, looking as if he was caught in the middle of doing something illegal. He watched the ball roll back to him, glancing back and forth between and the girl. On the one hand, he really didn't know how to play with that ball, but on the other hand, she had asked...

Sighing quietly to himself, he carefully set his trinket-in-process on the ground near a fence, then picked up the ball and stepped towards the girl. "Um, okay. Dun'no how, dough..." he said quietly, obviously ashamed by this fact.

"S'alright, I.don'.either," she replied as she pushed herself up off the ground. "We.can make.up our.own.game."

Bleez was next to the toddler in a blink. "'Ey.you're.a Wrath.spawn like.I'm. I'm.Bleez." She smiled and crossed her arms over her chest. New blood! This should be fun, definitely more fun than what she was previously doing.. but this kid seemed a bit shy.

Damien nodded in response to the girl's statement, as it made sense. There was no way they could ruin a game they made up, after all, so therefore it was best suited to a screw-up like him.

The toddler gasped when the other girl, Bleez, was right beside him when she was over there only a second before. By reflex, he jumped back and dropped the ball, which he glared at before picking it up almost reverently. Stupid him, getting all scared just because she moved! Shifting from foot to foot, he muttered. "'Lo, B'eez. 'M Daminen."

He cocked his head to the side curiously at the other statement she made, surprised that she had deduced that. But then again, she was kind of the same colors as him, a little. Bouncing the ball awkwardly, he nodded. "Mmhmm. Wraf 'n' 'Oomility." Bounce bounce bounce. "So, wha' kinda game you wan'na do, B'eez?"

Bleez didn't notice the Damien's jump, or she didn't care. She was more interested in the fact that that this spawn was part Humility. She didn't have much interaction with Humility children, so she wasn't exactly sure what it would entail. Maybe that's why he was so shy?

She stroked her chin with her clawed hand, thinking hard about what game they could play. She had seen a few times before a group of older guys run up and down the pavement, trying to take the ball from one another, and put it in one of the rings at either end. She supposed what she'd witnessed was "Basketball" but that seemed too complicated... the guys she had seen would get into yelling matches a lot. Bleez didn't like that part of the game; Damien was far too shy, she thought, to get into yelling match with, even if was for fun.

Instead, she pointed at the ball, "Le's.see who.can.put da.ball into.dat.ring..." She moved her hand so that it now pointed at the closest basket. "...from.da.farthest.away." She shrugged, it's the best she could come up with on the spot. "Ya.can.start, Dam'en, since.you 'ave.da.ball." She smiled at the toddler. If it was a game she knew she'd probably beat him, but since she didn't have a clue how to make the ball go into the ring WAY up there, she figured they were on equal playing ground.

Damien listened carefully to Bleez's idea, nodding once. Sure, it was a little simple, but that was fine. Less rules for him to forget and ultimately screw up.

Looking critically at the hoop she had indicated, the boy tossed the ball up and down to get the feel of it, then walked until he was about halfway to the middle of the court. Squatting and gently holding his tongue between his teeth, he gave the ball a hefty underhand toss. A blink of surprise followed as the ball actually bounced through the hoop, but it was quickly gone as the boy rushed to get the ball. Once it was retrieved, he handed it back to Bleez. "Hurr go, B'eez. Yer turn."

Bleez couldn't helped but clap when the toddler had made the basket. "Nice.shot!"

Bleez carried the ball to about the same area, a step or two further from the basket from where Damien had been. She'd seen the guys that'd been playing bounce the ball as they walked, but she wasn't ready to try that just yet. She did think she was ready to shoot the ball like the boys had, though... Placing her clawed hand at the back and her non-clawed hand along the side of the ball she lined it up with the basket. Now how'd it go? Push with the hand that was at the back... and something with the wrist too? Bleez grumbled, she wasn't sure how to do this, but it was too late to try another method in her mind.

Pushing quickly and flicking her wrist with her back hand she sent the ball flying, completely missing the basket. She didn't even get it nearly high enough. It bounced off the pole and off to the side. Bleez took off after the ball with little effort, but a lot of mumbles.

Bleez gingerly picked the orange ball up, she could see some scratches in the surface of it, from her claws no doubt. She frowned a bit before carrying it back over to Damien. "Welp.I.missed.it," she held the ball out for him to take. "Le's.do first.one.to five.points.wins. Since.ya made.it and.I.didn't, you.get one.point!"

Much like Bleez couldn't help clapping, Damien couldn't help grumbling at the unnecessary compliment. "Not no nice shot," he muttered, mostly to himself. He didn't want to insult the girl, at least not openly. He'd keep his thoughts about how stupid she was to himself.

Damien watched quietly as Bleez shot and missed, wincing as she did so. Great; now he was winning, or something. That was awful. Plucking the ball carefully from her claws, he glared lightly at her, but nodded at her idea. All of her ideas seemed to be good ones. "Okies." Never mind the fact that he could only sometimes count to five properly; Bleez could probably do it fine enough for both of them.

Sighing heavily, Damien stood a few paces back from where Bleez had tried to make her shot. Once again, he eyed the basket and the ball critically, mentally wrestling with whether or not he should cheat. If he lost on purpose, that would mean that Bleez would win, which was what should happen. But then again, that wouldn't be playing by the rules, which would make her winning less good. Growling at the conundrum, Damien made a rare decision just to wing it, and tossed the ball with little thought. To his delight, it missed completely, falling much too short of the target. Trying to hide his smile, he stumbled off after it, handing it to Bleez with lowered eyes. "Yurr turn 'gain, B'eez. You c'n does it."

Good thing Bleez's hearing wasn't extra special, she might've taken offense to a disagreement... then again, maybe not. Guess it would depend on the disagreement.

Bleez satched up the ball from Damien, tossing in the air and catching it as she walked to the spot she'd tried before. Her claws had gotten in the way last time, she noted, so she should try the other way. She was bound and determined to shoot a basketball the right way, not the baby way, like Damien.

She ran her hands over the ball, getting a feel for it, to see if there was a certain place she needed to hold it. Satisfied after a few passes, that there really wasn't, she took up a mirrored stance to her previous one. She remembered that she hadn't gotten it high enough last time either, so decided to give it a little more "oomph" this go.

She steadied her normally swaying tail and bent her knees. Her tongue poked out of her mouth as she concentrated on the basket and how she was holding the ball. In one, not so graceful motion, Bleez hopped a bit and shot the ball at the basket. It soared through what little air was between her and the hoop and bounced off the backboard, hitting the rim a few times before falling through the hoop.

Bleez silently celebrated her victory and sped over to the ball. This time she bounced it over to Damien. "Ya.shoot from.where.I was, ya.miss, I.get da.point." She smirked.

Damien was startled when Bleez bounced the ball towards him, having been distracted by a rather interesting rock. He squeaked adorably and immediately shut his eyes, turned his head away and stuck his arms out, as if the ball would magically float into his hands. As physics still applied, the basketball simply hit him in the chest, evoking another squeak. He blinked his eyes open when he heard the ball bouncing away, and he chased after it with a vivid blush on his face. How could he be so stupid?

When he retrieved the ball, Damien shuffled to approximately where Bleez had been standing. He had his shoulders hunched to make himself as small as possible, and was still blushing like mad. He was furious with himself for being so upset, too, so he barely bothered to focus or line up his shot. Scowling at the basket, he tossed the ball violently, not even blinking when it ricocheted off the backboard and flew over his head.

Fists clenched, the small Wrath spawn practically marched down the court to retrieve the ball once again, because he was stupid and couldn't do anything right, and when he got back to Bleez, he thrust it forward with a scowl. "Oops, sowwy. I'm just a dumbface. No points for dumbfaces, sowwy 'gain, Bleez go now."

Bleez tilted her head at the little toddler as he threw the ball forward. What the heck was his problem? It irritated her a bit that he didn't seem like he was having fun. If he wasn't, why didn't he just say so. "Do.ya.wanna play.a diff'rent.game?" She gripped the ball tightly, it was obvious that she wanted a truthful answer from him.

"Not if you dun wanna," Damien replied truthfully, even though he was still sulking, but just slightly. He couldn't stop being irritated with himself, especially now that he was ruining the game for Bleez. Maybe if he tried to lose the game more convincingly, she'd have more fun, and he could still lose like he should. Good, that was a good plan. The boy tried to look at least content as he patted the ball awkwardly. "B'eez can go now. Yur bettew than me, so-so you'll prolly make it good no pwoblem." He nodded once firmly, then stepped back to make sure she had room.

Bleez eyed Damien. Maybe she was just being too hard on the little guy. Bleez juggled the ball between her hands lightly. Okay, one more chance for her not to get irritated with the kid.

She trotted over to the free-throw line and bent her knees to shoot. Though her stance was fine, her mind was elsewhere. She jumped and shot, but completely missed the basket. She huffed, whatever, and ran to get the ball before it rolled off.

Once she got back to the court, she tossed to Damien again. "Your.go." She was getting mad at herself now.
