The battle field is a simple training grounds, mostly open ground with some trees on the out-skirts and a small stream running along one side

Kaizen strode into the training grounds, his sash like head band billowing out behind him in the wind. His stark white eyes examined the area around him, his left hand resting on the pommel of his blade. Taking a deep breath Kai walked slowly over to the stream and knelt down to drink from it while he waited for the arrival of his opponenets."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Fortune knocks but once,
Aoi was confused....and lost. She ended up losing the map to where she was going, and it frustrated her. Her axe was in her backpack, and she was using a kunai to mark her way around, and she kept on coming to the same area every time.....She was more angry than she was used to. Aoi was become more angry and upset that she wanted to scream. at this rate she'll never get to her destination.
but misfortune has much more patience

Kira walked in to the other side of the training field, oposite of Kaizen. His Suna headband shone in the sun around his left arm, and his knife was securly holdstered on his left hip. He was walkign at a swift pace, even with the two large packs of sand around his waist. He saw tow other people. He assumed they were here to fight, just like him.

Tosatsu stepped out from behind the trees, walking slowly into the clearing. He was wearing a large brown hooded cloak that hid pretty much everything about him other than the leather harness holding a metal rod to his back. Standing there was actually rather boring, but he found that combined with the cloak, it made him look rather intimidating. As he glanced around he smiled, this could be an interesting battle.

Kai glanced over his shoulder as the other three shinobi entered. Rising to his feet Kai turned slowly to look each of them in the eye, his stark white eyes sizing them up. "So, you have all come to fight?", Kai asked as he looked from Aoi to Kira to Tosatsu, looking to see if they carried any weapons or if anything stood out about them."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Aoi rubbed the back of her neck, showing her Kumogakure head protector that was around her neck. " No, not really, I'm technically lost.... But I'll spar if you want." Aoi said in her soft tone, as she routed through her bag for her axe. She wasn't really into the I-will-kill-you fights, but she much preferred sparring, because of the simple fact she'll panic if she sees someone dying.* Aoi looked at the other ninjas, noticing one was from the sand village....whom somehow when she looked at him she wanted to cry....She didnt understand that, but the guy in the brown cloak kinda confused her.... He was trying to scare her, but it wasnt really working well. The boy whom just talked had a headband from the mist village.....she heard there was assassins from there, and kinda scared at the fact she wasnt sure if they were allied or not.
((*Example: the Aoi and Kira fight))

(lol, she's more scared of me because of my headband than she is of toatsu because of his mysteriousness and large size, awesome. Mist FTW!!!)

Kira nodded. He was always up for a fight. He adjusted his Suna headband, and he began to size up his foes. The girl looked fimilliar, but he could not figure out why. The mist ninja also looked formidable. He paid no attention to the cloaked figure. He waited for somebody else to strike first.

Kai nodded his head and then drew his blade, the sunlight glinting off of the polished steel. This fine blade was built by his Sensei, Tares Demascus, one of the greatest smiths in Kirigakure, if not the entire world. Kai closed his eyes as he prayed silently to himself, father... mother... give me strength that I might defeat those that would stand against me. Opening his eyes, Kai let his arms fall to his side, his body relaxed to allow for swift reactions, his sword gripped tightly in his hand, the tip pointing towards the ground. "Come at me if you wish to taste the ground...", Kai challenged, his voice matching the determination that burned within the confines of his stark white eyes."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Kira smiled, "Big talker, eh? Let's see if you can back up those words!" He charged Kai, pulling out his knife. When it looked like he was getting really close, in one motion, he spun around and threw a Kunai at Kai's ankle, so that if he backed up it would hit his foot. Kira then thrusted at Kai's chest with the long knife.

(( Sorry bout that, had to go do something. ))
Tosatsu said nothing when it was asked whether he was there to fight, because he obviously was. When the others began to fight he calmly reached behind his back and unhooked his staff. He was going to need it if the others were using swords. Twirling his staff in one hand he brought it out level beside him, and waited to see what would happen.

Kai watched as the other shinobi rushed him, his body completely relaxed right up until the kunai was thrown. With a simple motion Kai spun out to his right, avoiding both the kunai and the knife thrust. As he was turning out of the spin, he brought his blade up in a fluid motion, the momentum of the spin adding power behind the strike. Kai would be facing Kira's side just as the blade came to chest level, putting it perfectly in place to slash at his extended arm.
Kai marveled to himself at how much more natural the fluid movements and forms of the mist sword-style was coming to him, to think just one short month ago such elegant and graceful motions would have been beyond him."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

By the time Kai had finished his dodge, Kira had brought his knife back, and he blocked the sword blow, backing up so that he could defend better. There was about seven feet between the two fighters. Kira frowned. This guy was a mist swordsman, so he had to eiether disarm him, or fight at a long range, which he was not the best at. Kira grinned. This was starting to get really fun. Hopefully the fight wouldn't end so soon. "Hmm, you have got some skills with that sword." He commented dully.
