"Yay! We're going to the beach!" Bovi's brother, Ballare, whooped at the top of his lungs. "I can't wait!"

Bovi ruffled the moppy orange hair of the deer taur that was his brother and chuckled. "Neither can I, but do you mind if I invite a friend of mine along?"

Ballare stopped with his prancing and looked at his brother. "Is it the pretty lady that said she wanted to meet me that you've been talking about?"

Bovi gave a mock glare at his brother. "Yes, does that bother you?" he asked sarcastically.

Ballare chuckled and started prancing again. "Nope! Just keep your kissy faces to yourselves and I'll be fine!" he giggled before leaping out of Bovi's grasp.

Bovi shook his head with a laugh before flipping open his cellphone and scrolling down to the contact that read 'Ebony'. He hit the call button and listened.

"Ebony? This is Bovi," was the reply that came from the other end.

"I was wondering, are you busy? I'm taking my brother Ballare to the beach today and wondered if you'd like to come and join us?"

"There's a surfboard shop near the spot where we're heading...called 'Heads Up' if I recall correctly. How about we meet up around there?"

The two had gotten there a bit before Ebony did. It helped that they themselves were already packed when Bovi gave Ebony a call. He himself was currently wearing Hawaiian floral swim trunks and a tank top, his hair pulled back a bit tighter that usual so his hair wouldn't droop over his eyes.

Ballare was just wearing water wings, and giggling a bit when he saw Ebony walk up. He waved back and smiled.

"Yup!" he chirped. "I'm Ballare! Nice to meetcha!"

Bovi chuckled. "Follow me you two, or our spot's going to be occupied by the time we get there,"

It wasn't too far off, a nice little spot farther away from the hotels and the busy parts of the beach. There were still a few out and about, but not nearly as crowded as some of the other spots were.

Bovi set out some pails and shovels. "Ballare, you get started on that sandcastle while I set up camp, all right?"

Ballare gave an eager nod and scooped up what he needed and went bounding off to a prime castle location while Bovi went about setting out the blanket.

Bovi couldn't help but stare for a split second before snapping himself back into reality.

"I've got things covered here," he said with a nod and a pleasant smile.

"Ebony!" Ballare called, waving one of his hands madly in the air. "Do you want to build a sandcastle with me?"

"Yeah, in the sandbox at home, so I can't make them all that big...this will be the second time I've made one at the beach. Last time we came the wind was blowin' so hard the tower kept falling down..." he explained, pouting a little bit at the end before perking right back up as he began to fill a pail full of sand.

"I'm not good at turning the buckets out though...they usually crumble, so I need help with that part..."

Bovi took his time, placing things on the corner of the blanket in case of a rogue wind, placing the umbrella in the sand and opening it up, and other such things.

"That looks a lot better then when I usually do it!" Ballare laughed as he grabbed a bit of wet sand to start patching up the one that they had just made, though he stopped to look at Ebony, his eyes wide with curiosity.

"What?" he asked with an excited tone.

Ballare laughed. "Yeah, but too wet and it's too soupy to do anything with...or it sticks in the pail and you can't get it out unless you bang it really hard..." he said before working with the tower thing again.

Bovi had now gotten everything set up. With a stretch he yawned a bit before pulling off his tank top and heading over to where the castle was being built.

"Seems structurally sound so far," he said with a smile and a nod.
