Coming up this Thursday is the British general election.
For those of you who don't know, the main three parties are Labour, Conservative and the Liberal Democrats.

The party leaders are:
Gordon Brown - Labour party
Nick Clegg - Liberal Democrat party
David Cameron - Conservative party

There are other parties who are not as popular as the main three. Partys like Green peace, The British Nationalists party and many others.

The parties' websites can be found here:

Labour - http://www2.labour.org.uk/

Conservative - http://www.conservatives.com/

The Liberal Democrats - http://www.libdems.org.uk/home.aspx

So, what are your thoughts on the up coming election?

If I lived in the UK I'd support the Scottish National Party and Sinn Fien. The SNP took control of the Scottish Parliament in 2007 which should have sent a message to Westminster.

My friend and I were discussing this earlier today, I had no idea the scots wanted independance.

I myself am most likely going to vote labour, because my parents are constantly rambling on about how difficult life was under conservative rule.

Not entirely.
The conservatives are a hell fo a lot worse, unemployment goes sky high and the country gets into more debt.

All because of their 'cuts'.
Also, it's a hung parliament and the balance of power rests on Nick Clegg's shoulders.

Well if you are concerned about debt then there is no need to vote Labour, the far-left/socialist type parties dont exactly have a track record of fiscal responsibility. Upon further research I have come to the conclusion that the UK's only decent party is the UKIP. I still like SF, SNP, and PC but they are otherwise too far left.

Hmmm...

The conservatives have signed a deal with the Lib Dems now and David Cameron is prime minister and Nick Clegg is deputy prime minister
