I never knew that orange was だいだいいろ. I always thought people called it オレンジ xd . Is one more commonly spoken than the other? Also, is there any particular kanji for みどり? Turquoise は日本語で何ですか?
Finally, you should add Chairo (brown), Hairo (gray), and Kiniro (Gold) to the list! Oh! And pinku! Don't forget pinku! 3nodding

Yunalecia I always thought blue was aoi It's true, 'Aoi' is one way to say blue. 3nodding You are correct. But Kon and Mizuiro are also.

I'll try to fill in and correct some things, as some are quite inaccurate. All of the colours are in adjective forms. They can be turned into nouns by removing the "i" at the end. Of course that doesn't apply to colours like green or purple. In colours where there is no "i" at the end, "no" should be added in order to connect it with a noun, e.g. 水色のコート. English - romaji - hiragana - kanji Green - midori - みどり - 緑 Red - akai - あかい - 赤い Light blue - mizuiiro - みずいろ - 水色; This literally means "water colour". Blue - aoi - あおい - 青い; I don't know where "kon" came from...? Never heard it. Orange - orenji - オレンジ; Never heard of "daidaiiro" either...

Ok I did a little bit of extra research for this and I wanted to clear the air a bit on this thread.
だいだい (daidai) - is actually the name of a slightly bitter orange that is native in alot of places in Asia, therefore, the color orange can also be 橙色 (だいだいいろ) daidaiiro as well as the more popular term オレンジ (orenji).
紺 (こん)kon - is ALSO a specific term for a dark blue or navy blue. The more popular term for blue is 青い (あおい)aoi or 青 (せい)sei, which is more of a neutral blue/green hue.
金色 (きんいろ)kiniro - which is listed as "pink" at the top is actually "Gold Color". the two ways to say pink as previously mentioned by others is 桃色 (ももいろ)momoiro, or the more popular term ピンク (pinku).
A few minor corrections: Brown - 茶色 (ちゃ・いろ) chairo, is pronounced cha-iro.
Gray/Grey - 灰色 (はい・いろ) haiiro, is pronounced hai-iro.
The kanji for むらさき (murasaki) is 紫. (Purple)
The kanji for ころい (kuroi) is 黒い. (Black)
The kanji for しろい (shiroi) is 白い. (White)
The kanji for きいろ (kiiro) is 黄色, and is pronounced (kee-iro). (Yellow)
The kanji for あかい (akai) is 赤い. (Red)
Finally the kanji for みずいろ (mizuiro) is 水色. (Light blue. Lit: Water Color)
Hope this helps you all out a bit to clear up confusion. *^_^*
