Hetal settled her self under a tree, the other day she her cubs had been sorted into their houses and now she was on her own, or so it felt. Her cubs still needed her of course but they spent most of their time in their various houses learning about possible ranks they might hold. She was very proud that her cubs were the first in the collition to get certed but at the same time she felt her heart tugging a little.

Hetal scanned the lands, feeling pride bubblign out, the collition was going to so well, she was proud of what her and mufasa had accomplished in such a short time, but nwo her home was real it was coming together and she was very proud.

Kabaa stretched forward, paws shifting dirt and grass as he moved. Safuraa had just bounded off after a story and a lesson on linguistics, and his brain was addled. The cub could speak wonderfully, but he was so damned shy.

The black male was gaining more confidence, judging by his thoughts. Honestly, he was the shyest and the biggest wallflower. Judging by his past, this was always a good thing.

With a small rueful smile, he watched his son bound off, not wanting to be seen with his father. The slate eyes shone in a sad, bitter way as he forced himself to stand.

She shook her head and moved off towards a small clutch of trees. His heart nearly stopped, gaze falling on a white cheetah. Kabaa shifted, his one eye trying to discern the detail of the female's marking.

It wasn't Giada at least, he shifted, going closer to see who, exactly, it was.

Hetal lifted her head and nodded a hello to the dark cheetah that was coming her way. She knew that his name was Kabaa, he was a story teller in the pride, and a new father. "Hello there." she greeted him, sitting down waiting for the male to come the rest of the way to her.

"How are you today Kabaa?" she asked. Hetal's voice had changed since she had had cubs, she found that now when she spoke she tended to speak in a quieter volume, and a softer tone.

Kabaa relaxed a bit, muscles loosening from their ready-to-flee rigidness. He hadn't even known he had tensed so badly. He gave a small smile and made his way towards her.

"Hello," he returned with a quiet voice, almost like a whisper, but not quite. He had always had a quiet voice, but the tempo held no quake of fear, but a note of respect instead. "My day has gone well, thus far," he commented.

"has yours as well?" he questioned with a note of interest.

"My day has been well thank you for asking." Hetal responded. "I am finding that I have more time on my hands now that my little ones have been sorted and I am finding it a little odd, I know there is a lot I could do as your leader but I find that I am still just thinking about them all the time."

Hetal moved into a laying position and place her head on top of her paws letting out a sigh. "I have seen you new little ones fluttering around the pack here and there." she said smiling lightly.

"How does it feel to be a father now?" she asked. She wondered if Kabaa had experienced similar changes in how he acted, Hetal didn't have anyone to ask these questions to as she wasn't with the father of her cubs.

Kabaa allowed himself a small smile at the thought. Yes, he had seen the sorting, and he was afraid. He could feel the contents of his stomach churning - would his children be next? His beautiful sons and daughters?

He wasn't really! Slate eyes panicked slightly, before he shoved away the emotion and allowing the a blank mask to could his eyes and face, smiling instead to cover up his anxiety.

"Yes, they're a bit of a handful," he agreed. "Being a father... it's quite nerve-wrecking. I'm afraid I'll turn out like my own mother or father," he stated in a whispered. It was choked and solemn.

He paused, taking a deep breath to reign in his emotions again. The turmoil in his becoming a knot that he couldn't untangle. Her ignored it though. "How are you're children, Miss Hetal?" he asked gently, voice low and smooth.

Hetal nodded as she listened to the other cheetah talk. It was very true that being a parent was hard, it brought out more nervse then Hetal knew she had, hell it brought out more emotions all together than Hetal knew that she had. It was hard for the cheetah to have all these different emotions running through her had, she saddly didn't know how to deal with most of them.

Hetal was honestly a little worried about the darkly colored chetah, she didn't know the full story around his past, but she knew that there was some problems there, and well it was no secret that the mother of his children wasn't the kindest of creatures, she really hoped that Kabaa could keep his head above water.

"My children are doing great. Though I must be honest and say that I miss them being around so much, it is hard for them to be gone learning, hard for me anyways." she let a small smile slip across her face. "I still see them enough though and it does give me more time to be a leader again, I fear that I may have been letting my responsibilities fall on others." she offered a sheepish grin.

"I wouldn't worry to much about becoming like your parents Kabaa, not that I knew them, but I am a firm beleive that you can be what ever you want to be, if you don't want to be like them you wont, its simple." she gave the dark cheetah a loving nudge.... another emotion she felt more of now .... love.

Kabaa gave a weak smile and made a small noise of dubious agreement. A small sigh pulled from the dark scarred, slate seeing eye focusing on a blade of crass under his paws.

He gave a small smile, for the sake of staying sane. He shifted a little before sinking into a sitting position, closing both eyes. "They seem to be doing really well," he commented with his quiet tone.

"I don't think its that simple," he offered, chewing on the already battered lips. Was anything ever simple. The bright shock of mane was teased by the breeze, and Kabaa forced himself to keep the mile upon his face.

"I suppose I could try though," he said softly.

Hetal tried to smile she could tell that Kabaa was uncomfortable and awkward but she wanted so badly to make him feel better, she chuckled softly to herself it was funny in her mind that she was even getting a motherly instinct towards her colition members as well as young ones.

"I have seen your little ones, and you know that the cubs will be well taken care of here, the whole colition is behind you. We will help you raise them and make sure you stay on the straight and narrow." she offered him a friendly smile and nudge.

"It wont be long before they grow now will it?" She asked, she meant it as a friendly gesture, she was proud of how her cubs were growing and maturing.

Kabaa gave a small nervous smile. "I worry more about their mother. She's... been an influence on some of them, and I'm worried." The dark male sighed and lowered his head with a sigh of trepidation.

"They're growing well though. Safuraa comes to see me sometimes for stories," he informs his leader. He was the one that was pulled from his protection, though he offered only a little. Giada could do whatever she wanted, and he wouldn't be able to stop her.

He frowned a little and sat, back arched with the instinct to protect the vitals, and, more recently, his children.

Hetal frowned, she could understand Kabaa being nervous about her cubs mother, it was well known in the pride that Gadia had a temper, and a wicked one at that. But Hetal couldn't reject her as a leader, Gadia ran her house smoothly and with impeciable results, and for the most part she kept her anger in check, the biggest worry was usually how Gadia treated Kabaa and the cubs.

"Well you know there are many influences in the cubs life here in the collition." she said a small smile on her face. "I feel that I barely raised my young ones myself instead it was the whole pride helping me and showing the little ones the right way of life." it had been true when Hetal had found out that she was pregnant with her cubs it technically coulnd't have been a worse time, she was just starting the collition and had just found herself. Her pregnancy wasn't a plan, it was just the flaw of her indiscressions and need for physical contact.

"It is good to hear that they come to you." Hetal said, she knew in her heart that Kabaa could be a good influence on his cubs, and she herself had heard his story telling abilities before, perhaps some of this would show up in his cubs. "I promise to help out as well to make sure they stay out of trouble." she offered with a smile. Perhaps she would ask her cubs to befriend some of Kabaa's young ones so she could know better what was going on in the family. After all keeping track of the family dinamic was very important, it could cause problems down the road.

The fact that Hetal didn't raise her cubs fully frightened Kabaa a little, but he didn't want to bind his children in invisible ropes - to suffocate their personalities and creativity.

Kabaa gave a small smile "I suppose you're right, Lady Hetal," Kabaa said with a small mumble. "Everything will turn as it should with time..." He tried to reassure himself with the words, but he found his insides still shaking with the thought of his children, their mother, and his parents.

"Thank you," he whispered sincerely with the promise. "It means a lot to me."

Hetal frowned, it was hard for her to see a member of her collation in any sort of discomfort. It made the cheetah felt her inside turn slight. She began to wonder if perhaps she had failed both sides of her life. She had neglacted her children in someways to focus on the growing collation, and now there were members of her collation who clearly needed her help more.

The cheetah slumped down and studied the male before her. "As much as all of us will help you, nothing will replace the love of their father, and you can't imagine those babes of yours turning out as anything other then amazing." she cooed. She tried to sound light hearted an caring, but insdie she was dwellig, and wondering if perhaps she had wrecked her childrens life.

She really hoped that her emotions weren't apparent on her face.

Kabaa gave a small smile, big enough to show, but not enough to allow his muscles in his face to twitch and turn the attempted smile into a grimace. He gave a bow. "I'm sorry for pouring my troubles on you, Lady Hetal," Kabaa mumbled genuinely.

He pushed back on his paws, ears flicked to shoo the flies away from them, only to hear the sound of one of his babe's voice. "Father," The young white male called, skidding to a stop in front of the two.

"Oh, hello Lady," he gave a small bow. "Father - we found something we want to show you, can you come?" The white cub bounced eagerly. He normally didn't act this way...

"If you'll excuse me, Lady Hetal?" He asked in a faint amusement and worry.

"It is no worry." Hetal managed to answer before the litter cub skittered up to them. She felt her face warm with a smile as the little one spoke to his fahter.

She gave a quick nod to Kabaa as he left with his little one. It was heart warming to see the two go off together to what adventures the little ones had found. It made her happy that they had a father to share it with.

She turned an began to head back towards her own den in hopes that someone would be there waiting for her, perhaps for her to cuddle and clean.
