Terreis padded forward slowly. How long had it been since she left? A week or two she believed, certainly enough time for her to cool off and she hoped the same was true for Derecho. She had never expected the friendship that they had to dissolve so quickly because of a stupid fight, but it had and she had returned to her former pack. A pack filled with feminist warriors she reminded herself of Derecho's last words to her. And though she had spent the time since their fight with her old pack, Antianeira, she still didn't believe what he said was true. They didn't subjugate males, they all worked willingly for the sisters. In fact she had intended on just staying in Antianeira, returning to the life of the warrior.

The time with Iosef had been wonderful, but it had also reminded her of Derecho. Though Terreis would never admit that she missed the gruff wolf from the southern pack. So after spending time with her brother, pack sisters and speaking to the Queen at length Terreis did what she felt was the right thing to do, and that was to return to YMCA - and to Derecho. She would still be a warrior at heart but enough things had changed for her that she wished a simpler life, one that she knew she could find in YMCA. That was if Derecho would allow her back.

Derecho hadn't been angry at Terreis in a while now - and Aleu's advice had been to wait, let things cool off and then go and look for her. Or something to that effect...and Derecho certainly intended to follow through on that, as soon as he figured out just how long he should wait. I mean on average it took him a few days to calm down after a fight - but it took Aleu longer, and cripes Tempest now a days took forever to simmer down so he deduced through his sisters examples that females took longer to calm down then males.

And Terreis was temperamental to begin with so adding that to the average between Aleu and Tempest gave him...ah hell he didn't know. He should probably go and look for her now...and for probably the hundredth time in the last few days angled his path northwards. now he just had to follow through with the intent, every other time he'd reached the pack boarders and ended up following that instead of continuing north like he meant to do. Second guessing himself at the last minute. Not this time - this time it would be different. This time he would follow through! and resolute in that fact he lifted his head and trotted through the wood towards the northern boundary.

The closer she got to the border the more she wondered if she was doing the right thing. After all Derecho thought she was a male subjugating feminist warrior, would he ever think otherwise? Perhaps but it would take every effort on her behalf to prove him wrong in that sense. She walked carefully, silently through the forest, another one of those traits that would likely never disappear. Head held low in an almost tracking position. The sound of paws hitting the ground and snapping twigs reached her ears, lifting her head slightly she wondered who could be making such a large amount of noise.

Pausing her answer came a few moments later as Derecho came out from behind some trees. Geez he was quite loud, it's a wonder he could hunt. She forced herself not to smile, instead she looked upon him with neutral eyes. So badly did Terreis want to say something but the only thing that popped into her head right now was a comment that insulted how loud he was when he walked, and she didn't think that would go over well.

Derecho wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings, his mind was far to far away to concentrate on such things and so when he popped out of the bush in front of Terreis it took him several strides to even register that she was there - damn silent female, he thought to himself as he skid to a hurried stop to avoid running straight into her.

How on earth had he neglected to notice her earlier, he should have scented her at least but such was the trouble of not paying attention and he blinked at her for a few moments until the surprise left his face. Once he'd come to terms that yes she had actually appeared before him he tried to figure out why. This proved much harder, always a guarded wolf Terreis stared at him with blank neutral eyes which made guessing her intentions next to impossible.

"Terreis" He greeted her carefully, and unlike her couldn't stop the hint of wary pleasure at seeing her again from flitting swiftly across his face.

Terreis didn't move nor flinch as she watched Derecho attempt to quickly stop before running into her. He certainly hadn't been paying much attention, now had he. "Derecho." She returned the greeting, allowing a slight smile to cross her maw after seeing him do the same. Well at least that was a good sign, it seemed that he was happy to see her, and she had to admit - to herself at least - that she was happy to see him too.

For a few moments she sat silent, slipping into that awkward silence that every wolf hated encountering. But what did one say in this situation? Would he think she came back to try to make him her slave? Or worse, to drown the puppies. No, she pushed all those negative thoughts from her mind, it was time to focus on the positives, even if there didn't seem to be many of them right now. "It's good to see you again." Well that wasn't exactly what she wanted to say, but it was a start at least.

It was good to see him again? Well that was a good enough clue for Derecho - she must not be mad at him still or she wouldn't have come back and she certainly wouldn't say it was good to see him. It was a promising start and he gave her a wolfish grin "It's good to see you too' He admitted "I've missed our daily discussions the last few weeks - poor Aleu's had to listen to my whining in your stead" He told her with a soft chuckle.

"Did you ah..find your pack?" He asked her almost hesitantly, it might not be a good idea to bring up the thing they had fought about - but hell it was the big tree in the meadow now wasn't it? Best to just get it over with and perhaps she'd come back because they hadn't been there and she was just passing through again. Derecho wasn't sure what he would think if that were the case.

"I'm sure she doesn't mind listening to you whine, that's what siblings are for anyways." Besides she was sure that before she had come along Derecho always whined to his sister. Or at least it was safe to assume that given their close bond and all. Guess if things went well today it would be Terrie getting the brunt of Derecho's whining from now on. But that was okay with her - to a certain extend of course.

"Somewhat." She said with a shrug. "I did spend some time in Antianeira with my sisters." A smile crossed her maw and her eye lite up. "My brother was there, it was so good to see him once more. He is doing well." She gave her head a shake and took a step towards him. "It is not my pack anymore. I am still tied to it through blood and my oath as a warrior, but that life is behind me now." Looking up at him, she hoped he got her very vague way of saying she would rather be with him than all the feminist warrior wolves out there.

Derecho snorted slightly, Aleu might not mind but their discussions tended to go in far different direction then the one he used to have with Terreis. Their mindsets were just far to different...not that Derecho minded that, he liked his sister for who she was and Terreis for who she was....even if she was a so called warrior wolf.

"Not the same after life away?" He questioned mildly, from the sounds of it this pack was very close knit and those who grew up there were probably fairly sheltered when it came o the world beyond their boarders. Maybe..Terreis had changed somewhat in her time away from her sisters. Maybe she'd changed enough to accept a different type of life..."I'm glad you found your brother, I should have realized how much he meant to you before and not said what I did. I was angry..and not really paying much attention to anything else" He apologized.

He was somewhat heartened by her words. That life was behind her now? Did that mean she was searching fr a new life? He could only assume so "And....with that life behind you where will you go now?"

Terreis nodded slowly. "Something like that." In truth she had never expected to ever leave Antianeira, even after it fell from the war she always knew that would forever be her home. That was until she had lost everything dear to her and was forced to live alone. But now that she knew her brother was alive and well Terreis could see that there were things that were appealing outside of that pack.

She gave her head a shake. "We were both angry then and too damned stubborn to see the others side. Iosef means the world to me, though it may seem weird coming from me consider how and where I was raised, but he is the only family I have left."

Tipping her head back in though Terreis sighed before looking back at Derecho. "Well I heard about this pack that sounds pretty good. Something about a sanctuary for the wandering. Though I hear there is the gruff, pig-headed son of an Alpha that lives there that doesn't like strangers stepping on his toes...so I guess I will go back to wandering." With a shrug she turned and began to walk off.

Well now that they had gotten the apologies out of the way Derecho didn't see any point on driving them over a cliff - best to just let t go at their mutual sorries. Saying anything more would just mak them both feel worse about what had been said - it was enough to know that they hadn't really meant the words said in anger. Even if the beliefs behind them were still there, they could work around that.

"Pig headed son of Alpha huh?" He calld out as she started to walk off "I have it on good authority that that pig-headed beast gets a bit bored with all the shy wolves in his pack. Thinks he needs a challenge - like say...a feminist mule-headed temperamental warrior." he suggested in a light off handed one. "You know..as long as she quits trying to drown puppies and such" He added in the same tone, making sure she knew it was meant in jest only.

Never before had she been so glad for those years of training that allowed her to be neutral in any situation. For if it hadn't been for that she either would have laughed or killed Derecho for his feminist mule-headed warrior comment. Instead she stopped, turned to face him and nodded. "Well your river is pretty far from the dens, which really makes drowning puppies a lot of work. I suppose I could give that up to be with you."

Padding back over to him, she gave his cheek a lick - the first real sign of affection she had given him. It would be a tough road ahead to not revert back to her old way of ordering him around like a slave, but she would work on it. "That is if that pig-headed Alpha's son makes an effort to remember long names...which an ambassador of a pack is expected to do."

Derecho snorted slightly at her comment "Ah yes..all that carrying them about and such" He agreed "Guess...you'll just have to learn to deal with them when they show up" He remarked on the puppy issue in an amused tone, huffing softly when she licked his cheek..he hoped she didn't expect him to turn into one of those romantic lovey dovey types just cause she brought her pretty spotted hide close to his. Despite this thought however he did bump her with his nose lightly.

"Well, I guess if you can give up drowning puppies I can make an effort to care enough to recall long names" He allowed after a few moments "Maybe I'll have to get myself one of those fancy slave types you supposedly have. A nice timid female..what do you think? Then she could remember the names for me..." He continued in a conversational tone - but ducked away as he finished just in case Terreis decided to retaliate to his jabs in a more physical fashion.

Derecho of course would never consider keeping a slave and he hoped she knew that as he looked back her with laughing eyes.

When they show up? She could have said something about that, but why start another fight. Besides she was looking forward to the day when she would have a family of her own and it seemed that Derecho also was. Perhaps this new life she had chosen for herself would be the right move in the end. Terreis certainly wasn't normally a very affectionate wolf, that lick she gave Derecho would probably be one of only a few she would ever give him. And she could only assume the same about that gentle bump from his nose.

Eyes narrowed at his comment about taking on a female slave, though she knew he was joking. "Females make horrible slaves." She said somewhat dryly, and it as the truth, females were far too hard to force into slavery.

"Truth" He agreed with a slight quirk of his mouth as he watched her eyes narrow at the comment. It would certainly be an interesting path for the both of them - considering their respective natures, he doubted very much they would end end up like his mother and father had been once, but that was fine with him and he was willing to give their unknown path a try.

Just to badger her a bit more he continued on with his comment "They're far to mouthy, you'd end up beating them all the time and nothing would ever get done" He told her with a smile before bounding off through the woods to escape whatever wrath that comment might bring forth.

Well this was going to be interesting to say the least, Terreis thought as Derecho threw in that comment about females being mouthy. Oh he would regret that, but for now she was willing to let it pass, store that thought away for a later time. Taking off after him she yelled. "You know it's really hard to beat you up for comments like that when you run away." She was joking of course, though she knew if any male in Antianeira had said those things they would have earned themselves a swift beating and more than likely been ousted from the pack. But this was a new pack, a new life and possibly in the future a new family, she would need to take it all one day at a time.
