The Temple refectories were areas of the Jedi Temple that were used as a place to eat meals.

Layout

Each hall was filled with long, trestle tables that were flanked by benches; holodisplays were hung in spots on the walls to show news from across the Galaxy. The halls were maintained by refectory droids capable of analyzing the content of the foodtrays. The kitchens were run by Jedi but mainly staffed by non-Force sensitives. The kitchen area had access areas to various service corridors, along with an airlift from the Storage Level. When a kitchen worked keyed in a request for food or ingredients on the datascreen in the kitchen, a droid in the sublevels of the Temple would take the requested container off its shelf, and placed into the vertical airlift where it would be shot up to the refectory.

After leaving the Room of a Thousand Fountains, Kinsa hurried to the refectories. Getting a tray of mold, fungi, and rycrit meat, (food eaten on Ryloth the Twi'lek planet,) Kinsa was glad to the spread they had given her. Looking around the room she soon saw Hikaru, he was a new Ijutsu padawan, but like her he was a temple kid. Walking over to the table he was sitting at Kinsa sat down across from him. "Hey spukamas," ( spukamas are Corellian house cats with black fur and golden eyes) Kinsa called him spukamas because of his ears. Though its not a insult due to the fact Spukami are unusually intelligent, but some might still see it as one. "How has the day treated you so far?" She asked before eating a spoon full of mold. Most of the human padawan found the Twi'lek padawan's choice in food to be odd and distasteful. However she just shrugged it off to the difference in their races. Sipping her water a bit she looked up at Hikaru waiting for a response, before she continued eating.

Listening as she finished off the mold and began on the rycrit meat, only thing most human padawans considered food. When he was done and asked her about herself, Kinsa had just taken a rather large bite. Chocking it down with water, she smiled. "First off yes I do need to call you spukamas, and I hear you about the master thing. I've been waiting a full five years and still nothing. As for your question I'm fine. I was um how should I put it, 'meditating' in the Room of a Thousand Fountains for most of the morning. But as you know when you wake up early and practice then 'meditate' all morning you end up starving." Kinsa said getting a spoon full of fungus, she'd had enough of the meat at the moment. As she ate the fungus happily she felt someone knock into her and heard a small apology. Which would have been fine had he not called her a "worm-head" in his apology. But when Kinsa looked to see who it was that hit her, she wasn't surprised. It was one of the many padawan human boys that were still inexperienced and got upset after being beaten by her. Like most things she just shrugged it off after learning the reason. Kinsa saw no point in fighting here since she just wanted to eat. However that didn't mean she'd take it easy on him in the next sparring match. Kinsa was one of the few very gifted padawans, but her mouth and emotions kept standing in her way of being great.

"Wow not only are the new padawans suck when it comes to the force and sabers, they seem immature as well." Kinsa said with a very boastful tone to her voice on the first part. It was well known of the younger padawans Hikaru and her were top two in ability. Though while Kinsa was far more suited for the combat uses of the force, Hikaru was a lot better at the healing aspect of it. That was one thing Kinsa admired about Hikaru, she was okay with healing but knew her skills were nothing compared to his dormant power. That was something Kinsa had always been good at sensing the force. Not just from the world but in others as well. Though she had only been able to sense Hikaru's recently due to the fact she had spent so much time together. As far as she knew all jedi could sense the force like this so Kinsa thought nothing of it. "Well on a subject that's not them how has your saber training been going? Ready to give me a run for my money?" She asked having finised her fungus and meat while thinking.

Choosing to ignore the two boys, Kinsa instead decided to keep on the subject of their studies. "I'm sure you just need a bit of practice and you'll be a great swordsman." Something she had noticed since becoming a padawan was that while she was up early practicing ever morning the other padawans did not seem as dedicated to their duty. She often just passed it off as the difference between herself and those who were not meant to be jedi. So every time one of them was chosen over it bummed her out a lot.

Reaching out Kinsa pet Yuki while smiling at the cat. "I could always help you if you need it Hikaru, you know I'm good at fighting." Kinsa said with a little laugh. Watch Yuki sleeping there made Kinsa kind of wish she could just curl up and sleep whenever she wanted to. "When ever you have some free time just tell me and I'll be glad to help you learn a bit of swordsmanship; and maybe some other moves to knock some sense into those guys." Though most Twi'lek people would choose a less violent road, Kinsa always felt it better to know how to deal with the problem should it arise. She continued to pet Yuki as her mind slowly drifted off to thoughts of her swordsmanship practice.

Listening to Hikaru, she smiled, "I'm only four years older silly." Kinsa laughed a little as she said that. Drinking her water, Kinsa almost chocked as he mentioned creating a style that mixed the force and lightsabre. "Spukamas have you been spying on me? Giving him a serious stare before cracking up into a smile. "I'm just kidding but I have been trying for the past four years to find the perfect balance of the two. Its like so hard to do you know." Kinsa said excited now she loved talking about the force and lightsabres.

"True that would make it hard to store energy; but if you could find a way to channel the force through your lightsabre, so that you could send out a wave with your attacks. Then even if you miss you'd be able to slow your enemy down." Kinsa said as her thoughts began running the scenarios that could happen with the lightsabre styles they were talking about. In theory they should be possible but the skill required to do it was beyond a padawan.
