The center of the hall bears a large steel spike that is a focus for the Force in the Council Room. There are two lightsabers sticking out of it, where the last Jedi Grandmaster, Reverend, stabbed his lightsabers in just before he left the Order.

The Council Chambers for the Jedi Council. Only the Council members and those they summon are allowed in here.

Scythe appeared in the council foyer after stepping off the lift. She knew the Grand Master was not up there but needed to discuss something with him.

"Grand Master Ak'Thais....If you might, may I have a word with you in the council room?"
She asked mentally of him. No matter where he was on the grounds he would surely hear her. For now she took a seat on one of the dias, meditating slightly, to see if she could tell any more about what she sensed.

It wasn't very long before there was a slight clunking sound from outside, and a man of slightly indeterminate age walked into the chamber. Jedi often had extended lifespans, assuming they didn't die in the line of duty, and Hapans had bred for looks for so long that its people tended to age rather well. Thus, well over fifty standard years old, the Jedi still looked relatively young even as he walked with a long staff, calmly taking his time as he made his way across the room. He almost never hurried, operating under the belief that it did people good to learn a little patience as they waited for him. "You younglings, using the Force for everything." he said, apparently quite amused as he eased his body into his seat. "I suppose it's good training, though. One can never have too much practice." he waited patiently for his visitor to speak.

"I believe I am older than you by two centuries Grand-Master..." She said calmly as bowed to him. Scythe then followed him into the council room. She studied him with her single violet eye. Scythe had not aged a day since she had reached eighteen, so many years ago. She never understood the reason why...but attributed it to her meditation and genetic abnormalities. She was sure it would catch up to her one day.

"That aside....I Wish to speak to you about going to Felucia...I know this seems trivial but as a member of the council I find it to be proper to inform you of my intentions...I felt a disturbance there I wish to go investigate...I know it is a planet with ties to the force but this feels like something from the outside world settling onto the planet." She finished what she said and quietly waited for his response.

The Grandmaster merely blinked. "And despite all this wonderful technology that spares an old man like me from walking halfway across the temple, you didn't decide to simply call me? And I thought you younglings enjoyed technology..." to Rednal Ak'Thias, all people, regardless of age, were younglings. Mostly, he considered it part of an effort to view people equally, by assigning them all a title to reference them by. No number of comments on his habit had ever gotten him to stop; he seemed to enjoy playing the part of an old man, despite still being relatively young, not to mention totally lacking most of the aches and pains he pretended to have. But then, it was also an attitude meant to relax people and put them at ease, so perhaps it wasn't solely for fun. "Go on, then. Be off with you, child. There are no coincidences, only the Force. If you have felt something, then you were meant to feel it... so allow the Force to be your guide on your journey, and listen for it to say what you must do."

"I don't quite think that travel missions are something to be discussed over a comm link Master." Scythe Sighed looking to the Grand-master, she knew of his habit as referring to everyone as child but it did make it difficult for those new to the temple to realize that Scythe was in fact a council member. She nodded to the grandmaster, pulling the scythe from it's resting position on her shoulder and bowing. She left the room and again went to the lift. From there she would visit her chambers briefly before heading to the hanger and flying out. Scythe hated flying, but it was best for now.

"I will report back when I am so able." She said simply. "May the force be with you master.

Rednal merely smiled tolerantly, like an old man watching the antics of his grandchildren. "May the Force be with you, youngling." he said with quite an amused tone, watching her leave. Quite calmly, he crossed his legs and began meditating, which was something he tended to both before and after many of his decisions. One could never have too much meditation, though he did vary how he did it fairly regularly.

There was a steady thump as Strong Wing made his way down the hall, it wasn't his fault he weighed a quarter of a ton. As always though ten paces from the Council Room the steady beats silenced as Strong focused on making his footsteps quiet, he did not like disturbing the other masters. Running his hands down the front of his robe Strong smoothed the wrinkles and then opened the door quietly. Strong's robe was more of a shawl, due to his odd size and body proportion along with the large wings exposed from his back he couldn't wear an average robe. The one he wore hung from his neck and shoulders draped in a dignified fashion with a sturdy belt.

Nodding quietly to the Grand Master Strong took a similar placement across from him. It was funny to see the size differential between a Kentra and a human, two feet higher and nearly three times his weight. If they weren't jedi you might think Strong was some deadly predator and this man his evening snack, truth be told the Grand master would only fill about half his stomach. Another truth was that Strong was very much that deadly predator, everything about his species was made for direct combat. Thick skin, large muscles, and senses without equal. "Good morning Master, how are you today?" The deep purring voice spoke at last after nearly three minutes of silence.

The middle-aged Hapan took several more minutes to answer, finally opening an eye as he finished meditating. Unlike some, he didn't seem at all worried about being in the presence of a predator. Then again, very little seemed to worry him... "Oh, the same as ever. Being called all around by the Younglings-" Which meant anyone from the newest Padawan to the oldest Councilmember... "-and doing the usual. Kids these days, so full of energy..." Not that he was terribly frail himself, since he did exercise quite regularly as part of his daily meditations.

A soft chuckle passed through Strong Wing before he spoke again, "That is true, you should see the Soresu lessons. I swear hlaf of them are going to transfer straight into Vaapad if they aren't taught how to fly through the air and swing five blades. At least they are mindful of me, I think it's the wings. Or possibly the large fangs and booming voice." With the last part he chuckled a little more. Hapans got a bad reputation for being to serious and goal oriented in Strong wing's mind, he had known this man for quite a time and could see that he was a balanced man.

"Kids? You are one sixth my age Master, you would still be considered a child on my home. You wouldn't be allowed to take your right of passage till you were at least ninety." Strong Wing liked to laugh, especially when these times were abundant and it could be allowed. "I was wondering as well if any of the Padawans were ready to take on a master? It's been two years since my last apprentice graduated and I'm starting to get that itch from when I stay in one place too long. I'm thinking of taking a journey and it would most likely be rather beneficial to a learner to get a grip on the galaxy around him."

Rednal just looked at Strong Wing. "You see? Younglings like yourself, so eager to get things done." he said. Everybody was a Youngling to him, regardless of actual age. To the Grandmaster, it put them all on the same level, so he could treat them the same way. Balance was good. "So... why, exactly, are you asking me about it?" he answered. The Grandmaster had a terribly lax style sometimes, but rather than just being lazy, he did have his reasons. "You're a Master, use your own judgment. If you find somebody you think is ready to move on, and they're willing to study under you, then by all means, join up." For the most part, Rednal didn't believe the other Masters needed his permission to do things. They were Jedi Masters, which was all the evidence he needed to be able to trust in their competence.

A beeping noise came from Gerik's chair. "Gerik Kull, reporting from Theed. Sorry I haven't come back yet. Something glitched the droid systems... donno what, but from the look of it, someone or something tried to remotely attack the Palace. Stupid move, or just trying to get attention... either way, it's dealt with at the moment. Currently reanalyzing the networking to fix any loose ends. Shifts from Command will be visiting on a regulars bases for some time to come. That's all for now. Should be home for dinner. Say hi to the younglings for me. Gerik out." He sighed as he shook his head. "Looks like someone's trying to one up me. Lovely." The message cut out afterwards.

"It's not polite to just assume Master, you are the head of the order and that means every disciple is under your care. I would never try to steal an egg from a Krayt Dragon's nest and neither would a take a student from the care of a Master. I thank you for your leave, is there anything going on out in the void that you would like me to look into? I fear I've been in the temple too long, I haven't got a clue what's going on across the galaxy aside from what I feel in the force." Strong wing laughed again when he was referred to as a youngling, it was these little things that made him feel at home amongst his fellow Jedi.

The council was not the place for Strong Wing, for one thing the door was too small. Strong was also a slow thinker, it had taken him twenty years to understand the concept of patience. Which in it's own way was a paradox. Strong Wing was also stubborn which meant he was not one for debates, no level of logic and understanding could break his will. That was why he mainly stuck to teaching the Padawans and taking on the excessively dangerous missions, in these places the two extremes of his abilities were exercised.

"And that's what the Holonet is for." Rednal observed mildly. "There are many things open to those who seek them out. You are all my students and my children. Young and old, Padawan and Master, talented and inept. If my children wish to aid each other, the only thing I feel is pride as a father. Listen to the Force, Strong Wing, and let it be your guide during your travels." In other words, the Grandmaster had no intention of telling Strong Wing what to do; rather, the Hapan seemed to trust that the Force would guide those who listened to it. If there was something Strong Wing was meant to do, he would be guided to it. By giving no destination, and no mission, the Grandmaster created something of a vacuum. Without the intent to do a particular thing, it was easier to hear the Force and trust one's instincts.
