I hate how freely going astral is talked about on the web sometimes. I don't even care so much about it being a public discussion. It's just the fact that sometimes you get people that try to go astral while not being able to handle the reality involved with even taking the step of leaving your body. And why? Because everyone else on the INTERNET of all places claims to do something they can't. Everyone is honest on the internet. Or, being able to GOOGLE things that amateurs clearly shouldn't have so readily available to them.
^I used to be one of those idiots who would try to go astral before being able to take the reality of it only causing my guardians more work. That, isn't a joke xD But looking back on it sure is.
I don't even mind the information being public. I just wish I could trust the maturity of everyone reading the information and I would hate to see my guards get bitched out for protecting someone that was a complete dumbass about sharing information too honestly.
^Again, I used to be one of those people.
Or like those aggravating insignificant idiots who claim to kow it all but can't prove near as much as they think they can and troll like crazy.
^Again, all me at one time....
The people that would that can never let the past of someone else go. Or, can never let go of a grudge.
^Me, again as well as getting mad at people like that.
And, I look back on past behavior in magic guilds. And, I have seen people who have plagued magic guilds. It's something else.
This guild, is actually pretty rare that everyone here can be so cool and civil for the most part.
Now, I'm more the guy that either finds something interesting or finds something terribly amusing. I admit it. I like to watch how people think for my own personal amusement. But, let's face it people are funny to watch.
So, I have an interesting challenge I am personally curious to see how many people can answer honestly or even pull this off.
I challenge you to.... name your magical habits that are flaws. Name some magical habits you grew out of... And then on top of that, not think down on yourself or get neurotic about what you find.
If you can complete this challenge. Then, you are on the path to being able to mature in your practice as you grow. If you can't look at yourself honestly and face your issues. Good luck! You'll NEED it!
So, on a lighter easier to discuss not if that part of the topic doesn't work for you. Then, simply think about some behaviors you've matured from.
And then, compare what you find. With what other people find. Then, apply that to looking at yourself.
Now.
DON'T FREAK OUT FREAK OUT FREAK OUT!@!!!!!#!!$!!
xd
It's something else what you find.

hahaha its funny you start this topic now because this past weekend i had some experiences that led me to really look at myself and come to the realization that there is alot about myself i dont like and have repressedn to the point of being unhealthy.
one behavior i used to have is being completely open to sharing my views and knowledge with anyone who was willing to listen. i've learned over the years that there are some things that people need to be given time to figure out for themselves.
i also used to think meditating was stupid and a waste of time. now i practice daily meditation.
probably my worst was back when i was like 14(which was onyl after studying for three years) i used to think i was crazy hot s**t. i thought i was the strongest mage there was(yeah i used to use the word mage to describe myself). now that i'm 19(which is eight years of study) i think there is SO much i dont know about that its ridiculous.
but i want to add something else for people to think about because this came to me last night during my Full Moon ritual. some things we abandon because we beleive we've grown past them. and that can be a bad thing. for instance last night i took my time and really communed with each of the five elements as i called them into my circle. now a year or two ago i had stopped doing this beleiving it to be unnecessary since i had learned so much. but i've gotten back in the habit and last night it was an amazing experience to feel each element and the energy raised within the circle. so just as some behaviors such as pride and bigotry should be abandoned, some behaviors need to be held onto because they are important.

I don't believe that one should constantly go spouting their beleifs to just anyone. I think that in a public setting, your own beleifs and spirituality isn't anyone's business except your own. I have a tendency though to talk about my spirituality freely whenever anything of the like is mentioned by anyone i think is going to take me seriously.

I find myself talking about it carefully where I work, but most of the time when I speak to someone, it's because they're a sensie as well and I just found them. smile
Then, if there isn't a line, I'll ask them what they practice because you never know if it's something you might have been led to find out.
