I was so worried my Guild was going to die because I sent out several invites and no one replied, but I forgot to check my request sweatdrop . Everyone welcome the newcomers!

From now on this will serve as a Introduce yourself thread hence the name. State all you'd like to say about yourself I won't make anything mandatory.

My Gaian name is Raver Rouge and I am a 17 year-old senior in high school. After doing much research, I became a firm believer in Creationism. After high school, I plan on going to a local college to take art and theology.

Well actually I better introduce myself since I've been bothering people about it sweatdrop

Name:Chuck
Age:14
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Denomination: Raised Baptist not realy Baptist but its were my roots are
now lyin a bit with Messianic Jew or Jewish Traditional
Christianity.

My Brother (who doesn't get on Gaia often) got me into Creationism at a young age. But for years I was only religious and not Faithful and when I messed up I didn't care who I affected but in the recent past two years God has changed my attitude completely and I've been studying Creationism past the voice of my brother though I still listen to him.

btw my bro's 20 and in his 3rd year of getting his minor credits in college.

Sweet! messianic Jew and an Artist... I am in good company. blaugh

Name: Cat
Age: 19
Denomination: *sigh* I hate that word. >.< I guess If I had to give a denomination it would be Messianic Jew, but I am very fond of the old non-denominational name "Follower of the Way," the first name for Christains. biggrin

I am a fishie in college, going for a major in Art and a minor in Bio. Art is my first love, and science one of my others. I approach the creationist theory from a diff. perspective then most.... If they can prove me wrong, I'll stop believing. I have talked to many many peoepl about this, but no one has given me good enough proof to change my mind. Some of the ideas spawned are actually quite humerous. Anyhow... great to be here... and... who invited me, btw? O.o??

Careful with using "The Way" Though I have nothing against it and know what it once stood for. Well as the Nazi's destroyed what the swastika once meant someone has destroyed those words by a Christian group called "The Way International" who believe in using pot to help getting closer to God and 'levels' which how you must get past the first level is you must be able to speak 'tounges' as in the way some small Protestant churches hold tounges to be, some type of holy language. True it can be but the Bibles says that if there isn't a enterpreter(doubt I spelled that right) that they're a imposter, another way the Bilbe describes of speaking tounges is when you're speaking in your original language, preaching Gods word but people who only know another language can understand you clearly.

Name: Alyssa

Age: 21

Denomination: Non denominational

I first started believing in creationism when I was a teenager and had gone to a creation seminar. Currently I am working at a health food store and learning something new each day (though I don't go to college currently I have taken some classes. . .I believe there is a lot to be said about learning through life itself as opposed to only learning it in a classroom setting. . . though I may get a degree someday. . . who knows where God will take me?).

I was interested in this guild because I've always had great interest in Genesis. Plus, I also love to talk to people of different faiths and views. Mostly because you always get a different answer and it always gives you some food for thought. As for evolution, I see some truth to it so that's another reason this guild caught my interest.

Name: Tori
Age: 14
Hair Color: Honey
Eye Color: Dark blue
Denomination: Well...I'm gonna say Baptist. That's the kind of church I go to, and I was baptised, sooo...O.o;

I honestly don't know much about my religion. I'm trying to learn, I read the bible everytime I get the chance, though I've totally gotten out of order by skipping around, so I have no idea where I am...-_-;; As I said, I got to a Baptist church, and I believe whatever's said there, but they're going about it in the wrong way. It's really stiff, solemn, uncomfortable, and kinda boring, when it should be a loud, happy celebration. Very sad. (shakes head) BUT ANYWAY. Yesh. Actually, my religion's alot more spiritual than logical. Again, I don't know many of the facts. I came into this way of life by mum shoving me in that direction, but she didn't do much of anything else. The rest has been of my own volition. YEESH, I need to shut up! Agh, I'll stop babbling now...nice to meet y'all...^^; heart

I used to go to one of those big Baptist churches and all that jazz but they started getting too "money, tithe, money? we need to build the other churches are building faster! GIVE US MONEY BECAUSE JESUS SAYS SO!!" type of churches so we went to a missionary church not to far from it which is supported by the monster churhch and also is bi-lingual and ministers to the mexicans in the ghetto area of our town. Its a bit more spiritual and in the past two years I've felt a surge in towards being more spiritual and am grateful, if you don't feel comfortable were you are just well...move simple as that ^.^;;

I'm actually leaning towards Messianic Jew beliefs which are like people who stick to Jewish tradition and believe that Christ was messiah. Though some of my roots still belong to the Baptist doctrine, oh and if you actually want a good history of the Baptist church read The Trail of Blood By J.M. Carroll

Name: Abbie
age: 16
Denomination: none denominational

my church has always believed that denominations arn't nessissary because it's sort of a way of just splitting up the church and it just causes more conflict and we've got enough of that going around already don't we?

I have grown up in a christian home and I always believed in Creation because it was all around me including them teaching it at church. like I loved the song.... I can't remember right now but maybe I can get back to you later. I am a big fan of the bands Relint K and Switchfoot. I am a very easy going sort of person who is normally pretty hyper (note the user name)

update: and I have always gone to the same curch

Well though seperation is bad we should try to correct the churches were we see corruption as the diciples did. Such as Gnostics, the most obvious, some Protestan churches like the Mormans *no one start bashing me I see no historical accuracy in their Book of Mormans and it goes against the part in the Bible about 'adding to Gods Word'* And yes, the Catholic and Orthodox Church for reasons some of you may not even know, not just their history....

I don't say these people are evil they just need to be corrected in some places .... biggrin I have Catholic and such friends ....

Name: Mike

Age: 15

Denomination: Baptist, though I don't know how it's much different than anything else cause I've gone to the same church my whole life.

I've always believed in Creationsim, since I've had it tought to me ever since I could comprehend language. To me it's just the truth. I take genisis literally, but I'm slightly open to some theories of it being a metaphor....but I lean toward it being literal.

I could say I've always been a "christian", but I don't really know when I actually started to change the direction of my life. I'd probably say within the past two or three years....you know, in middle school. I've read about half of the new testament, and I'm working towards reading all of it and the old testament.

Also, I've played the piano for 9 years and I love using it to worship God!!! biggrin
