Lily stood outside the school by the doors,and off to the side, waiting patiently for Barnaby, assuming he'd actually spent the entire day in school. Though she though for sure she'd seen the boy, when the class period had changed last. Well at least that had looked like him in the hallway.
She wanted to hang out with him today before she had to go to ballet. So she stood waiting her book bag on her back and duffel hanging from her shoulder. She frowned remember that several clubs met today and there was the very likely possibility that she would have to search for him and she most certainly did not have the time for any such thing.
Lily looked down to the watch around her wrist. The second hand ticked away blissfully ignorant of her impatience with it as it made it way to the nine. It was two forty-five in the after noon and school was done with so, what was taking so long.

It was Lily's lucky day. Not only was Barnaby actually at school – he actually hadn't ditched last period in quite some time – but he didn't have a club scheduled either. Today used to be reserved for tutoring, but since Jada had stopped showing up for past couple weeks it had left him with some spare time. Had he really been devoted to his schoolwork he may have gone back to the library every week and waited for her, but the redhead just wasn't that kind of guy. He'd merely left her a message on her phone, asking her to call him when she got back and they'd pick up where he left off. It was as simple as that.
Humming a tune under his breath, he finally sauntered out of the front doors of Meadowview High, schoolbag draped over one shoulder. It was starting to get nice out, and Barnaby was seriously considering breaking out his baseball stuff. Perhaps he could get Grayson to play catch with him. It was kind of like catching a football, right?
Lost in though, he almost missed Lily had she not looked at her watch, the motion catching his attention. Having caught sight of her he grinned and made his way over.
"Waiting for someone special?"

Lily jumped slightly at the boy, not having notice him approach her. She laughed light, "Not funny Barnaby. I really thought I might have to seach the school for you, assuming that is that you stayed. Which quite obviously you have?"
Lily situated her duffel bag and gave the boy a smile. "Anyway I was waiting for you. I do not have ballet class until 7 tonight, it was pushed back an hour. I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out for a while. Grab a gelati from Mira's."
Lily watched Barnaby expectantly wandering if he would come with her. She always need to keep her mind busy as of late. A busy mind had less time for nightmare, which came anyway, but it was worth a try right. Friends were the best kind of distraction she had.
