Lily headed out of the animal shelter, walking slowly down the street with Eamon at her side. She sighed lightly looking at the large dog. He was suppose to be adopted, but that had fallen though and Lily had seen the family leave one day with a small fluffy puppy recently.

Lily forward once more her heart aching slightly golden retriever. She wondered if it was he looks, a ragged ear and half a tail did not a pretty dog make. However, the dog had a such a good spirit and he was so well mannered. Lily hadn't thought on it much before, but he suited her rather perfectly.

Both wondered silently wondering what her life would be like with Eamon living at home with her, but she worried with all the responsibility she already had that she wasn't the right match.

Eamon bumped against her and she was pulled from her thoughts. Smiling she gave him a quick pat and endeavored to make today's walk a bit longer. Who knew how much time she and Eamon had left together.

Creighton rather liked the animal shelter. Not that he'd told anyone, but it was clearly visible in the way he'd always make time to stroll near it (or as near it as he dared - he knew of his little... problem around animals, and something told him it was counter productive to gaining a 'reputation' around these parts).

So thus, he would simply seat himself on a nearby bench, fence, tree even, and would hope one of the stray animals would grace him with a visit. Unfortunately, waiting and looking was a boring task, so he usually brought some form of entertainment with him. Today's form of strange entertainment consisted of performing surgery on a doll he'd either bought, or shoplifted earlier that day (Take your pick) with his pocket knife.

He sat on the ground today, his back against the wall of a mildly secluded corner that still allowed him to retain visual contact with the center in question. He'd not bothered to change clothes, and still wore the Hillworth uniform; most people that recognized it made an effort to walk around him, even when they failed to see the handiwork he was performing on the poor doll.

Creighton had been so entertained, he'd practically missed Lily walking out of the center with the labrador. It wasn't a puppy, but he still stopped mid swipe of his knife to regard the animal and girl carefully, in a way that was probably bordering creepy, if not unpleasant.

Lily had continued on but Eamon had stopped and regarded the boy on the ground with a curious head tilt.

"Woah," said Lily as the leash tightened and she was pulled back. She gave a small tug, but Eamon stayed put.

She turned looking at the dog, still missing the boy, on the ground, "Hey Eamon, come on boy, what are you ..."

It was then she noticed the boy, or rather the doll in his hands and gave him a very curious glance. "What on earth are you doing," she inquired to the boy quickly moving beside Eamon to pet him. She smiled pleasantly despite the creepiness of his stare. It did not bother Eamon, who'd had his tail cut off by his previous owner, so Lily took a cue from him and ignored it.

His attention had been, primarily, on the dog, to be honest. His eyes strayed up from the animal to the girl as she spoke though, a brow arching up in mild question, "What's it look like I'm doing?" he liked the dog, even without having interacted with it (after all, he'd yet to meet a critter, creepy crawly, or fuzzy animal that he didn't like). The girl on the other hand apparently did not merit much respect, specially if she had to ask such a silly question as that!

Besides that, he wasn't particularly sure the girl had an ounce of common sense; he'd been expecting her to either continue her walk without exchanging even a glance with him, or for her to have fled the scene. Most rational human beings did either or, so did that make this girl irrational?

Well, since she was here, he might as well see if he could motion the dog towards him; he was usually pretty good at doing that. While animals trusted him, humans did not. Thus, he allowed the poor, unfortunate doll to rest on his lap before gesturing for the dog to come to him silently.

Lily frowned looked at the doll, "It looks as though the surgery did not go to smoothly, " she said softly. She wasn't smiling and wondered why the boy had done that to the doll and if he really did will to be a surgeon.

Lily was a little lost in her thought, when she felt a tug of the leash as Eamon moved forward, his half tail wagging. Her smile returned and she allowed the leash to give a little more as the dog approached the boy.

Eamon sat right in front of the boy and Lily grinned. Lily would not deny the dog this moment, knowing for the most part other than her no one seemed to want the dog. "He seems to like you," she said with an air of curiosity. "His name is Eamon."

A snort escaped Creighton as he turned his attention on the girl. To his credit though, he was managing to remain seated and had not yet openly insulted her, "Yeah," he said as he directed a feral grin her way, "You could say that there were major complications," to say the least; the doll looked horribly mangled and there was probably no real way to patch her up together again. Needless to say, the poor toy had seen better days.

His eyes racked over Lily's form, his grin still in place, almost as if he were trying to determine if the girl was as dumb as he thought she was. After all, she was still here, which was, in his opinion, a huge mistake on her part.

Creighton's thoughts derailed quite effectively as the dog tugged himself forward and sat down, allowing him to pet him. Again, the girl's words drew his attention towards her, though he did not stop scratching the dog behind his ears, "Yeah. I like 'im too," still though, the leer he shot her way should have sent her running for the hills.

Lily frowned slightly and shook her head, "Poor thing, destined for the morge than." Lily shuddered slightly at her own words, but tried to keep casual about the sight of the mangled doll. "I hope that the next surgery will go according to plan."

She watched as the boy looked her over and sighed lightly, inaudibly. He did not seem to really want her presense there, but then there he was petting Eamon.

She smiled brightly at the boy hearing his words, despite the leer he sent her. It mostly went unnoticed at the boys words. "I am very glad to hear," her smile still bright.

"Eamon is so wonderful and I was begginning to think I was the only one who could see this. He's been at the shelter for some time. I am just grateful it is no kill shelter and that they have extra room."

Lily knelt down beside Eamon wrapping an arm around his shoulder and rubbed his chest. She gave him a small kiss on his fluffly cheek, "You hear that boy. He likes you too."

She looked to the boy with a curious expression, "What is your name?"

The boy, in turn, chuckled slightly, his hand still scratching behind the dog's ear as he directed his attention over to Lilly, "Eh, not yet, no. There's still a bit of life in her, I think. Besides, even if she's destined for the morgue, it just means a biopsy is in order, so there's still some fun to be had," apparently, his words seemed to indicate that mangling it had been the plan all along.

A brow arched as the girl smiled over at him; the smile seemed genuinely happy, which Creighton did not really understand. Here he was, trying to the best of his ability to scare her off, and the girl wasn't budging. However, he had an inkling of a notion that this was more due to stupidity and naivety on her part, than actual bravery or tolerance. Snorting slightly, he resumed watching the poor dog; it'd seen better days, that was for sure.

As the girl grabbed the dog, he retracted his arm away from the animal and watched her, still with an arched brow, apparently trying to decide how to proceed. There were so many ways he could have taken advantage of the situation at hand that he wasn't quite sure which to pick - repercussions be damned. Still, even Creighton was conscious enough to understand that this probably wasn't the time or place for any of them, so he permitted the girl to continue to live in her little fantasy world. For the time being anyhow, "Creighton," he told her, "And of course I like 'im. It's people I don't really appreciate," a pause and a grin again, "And dolls, but that's beside the point, eh?"

"Oh really? How can you tell? I'm no surgeon, but I'd say yes, the doll definitely headed for the morgue, doc," she in an odd questioning way. His words on the biospy made her mind leap straight to biology class. They had dissect a brain in the coming week and this boy seemed like he might enjoy it. Though when she thought about it she had to frown at the thought of a biopsy being fun. She shook the thought from her head, with all the death's going on lately they needed people like him for autospy reports.

"Creighton, huh," she said trying it out, before giving a small oh at the next two statements. She leaned forward peering into the boys lap at the mangled doll, her hands still on Eamon, for balance.

"Well, your opinion on doll is glaring obvious and as for people, to each his own," she said softly. She looked away for a moment wondering whether that was her queue to leave. It seemed he did not really wish to be bothered and she had felt that already.

"If you'd like I can leave you to your ..." she said before toppling over, as Eamon desided that moment would be the flop down.

She lay sprawled over the dog, her back arched over his stomach, leg sligthly tangled looking because she had been kneeling or rather crouching. She turned her head giving the dog an exasperated look before looking up to Creighton, whose leg Eamon head had just narrowly missed.

She sat up slowly, giving an embarassed laugh. "Um, I was going to say peace, but I hope you do not mind to much. I really think Eamon would like a rest, that and he really loves attention. I am Liliana by the way."

"That's the beauty of toys; they can be put back together. Doesn't happen with real live things, sadly. When those are broke, they're broke," he was watching her with an arched brow from his place, as if still entirely unsure why she was still there. It was one thing when people left when he was being nice, but he wasn't entirely sure why the girl was sticking round, seeing as how he had been intentionally douchey to her, just to see what she'd do about it.

Funny how that worked.

"Yeah," he said, and then snorted at her following words, taking the moment to scratch the old dog behind his ears. Completely ignoring the girl, he pressed his nose to the dog's and smiled; there was something distinctly different about the smile he offered the animal. It was a real, honest to god smile, rather than the smirk he'd earlier showed the girl, "Hmmmm?" he turned his attention back up at her, and then down at the doll, "Dissection? Biopsy?" he offered the girl, reverting back to the previous, dangerous smirk, "Eeeeeh... that would mean the dog'd leave and--" he blinked as the girl fell over the dog, and he only had just enough time to get his right leg out of the way before she toppled over.

A snort, and then an actual chuckle, "You're kinna weird, you know. What the hell?" he finally let out a sigh, "Yeah, sure, whatever. Dog makes up for it," that, and girls didn't usually talk to him - figures that the one girl he's trying to creep the ******** out wouldn't bloody well leave. Huh, "Lili, huh? Won't you get into trouble if peeps see you hanging out with me? Not that I'm fussed, but what the hey."

Lily hardly noticed what Creighton meant when he started off about dissection and biopsy as she tumbled over before he really not a chance to get his thought out. She had noticed the smile before she fallen though and and made her grin.

Lily's grin grew a bit wider as she fixed her clothes and dusted of her hair and skin. "I've never really been called weird before, but there is a first time for everything I suppose." She was about to ask what made his think she was weird, but his next question made her look around.

"No, I won't get in trouble. The animal shelter knows Eamon and I's walks tend to be a little long. They do not mind. We will go back with Eamon feels like it and not a moment before. He spends enough time in the kennels." Lily looked to Eamon, reaching over to scratch behind Eamon's ears.

"Will you get in trouble for hanging out with me?"

"No? Well, hate to break it to you; you're extremely weird," and this was coming from the guy with green, messy, unruly looking hair that had been tearing a doll childishly apart with a pocket knife. There was probably something off about this particular scene, no doubt. Alas, he'd been considerably bored and technically didn't get a lot of conversation out of anyone. Specially not girls, so he performed a mental shrug and decided to go with it.

Besides, there was the dog to conciser too. It wasn't a puppy, and it was obviously a mutt, but it was great all the same, as far as he was concerned. There were much worse fates than talking to a girl (albeit a weird one) while getting to pet a dog.

As she spoke, his smirk showed again, though it was obvious he was trying rather hard not to look as amused as he felt, "Dude, no, I meant... Hillworth outfit and s**t. I wasn't talking about the shelter. I meant in general," a brow arched he tilted his head, looking a bit like a curious animal now that the initial douchery was gone, "I don't usually get this reaction from people. People usually judge right away. And I was sort of carving up a doll to boot - that doesn't bother you at all?" another snort was released, "Ehhhh... I don't think /I/ will get in trouble for hanging out with /you/, though you're bound to get weird looks. Just sayin' you know."

Lily laughed at the comment and shrugged it off. Everyone had their strange moments. She did not see how this was one for her, but everyone also had their own viewpoints.

Her expression took on a perfect oooh, when he mentioned his Hillworth uniform, but then turned to an expression of confusion. "I do not think I have ever met anyone from that school that I know off and why are you wearing that anyway. It friday and school has been out for two hours." Lily could help, but to think he was the kettle calling the pot black. Who stayed in uniform, afterschool on a Friday.

Lily shook her head when he asked about it bothering her. "It is a very strange sight to come upon, but really people do far worst things with knives. I wouldn't want people judging me for my clothing or my hair. I'm a walking poster for Crystal Academy, but I chose to go to Meadowview. Beside it just a doll, at least you did not microwave it."

Lily stood and laughed lightly, "People will be people. Let them look. Do you really care?"
