After walking for most of the day, Blade was feeling pretty worn down. The lake they had discovered was quite the welcomed sight as well; it looked rather refreshing. The sky's view above the lake was incredible too.

As he walked over towards it, he paused at the sign, blinking at what was written. He tried to make out what was under the lake's name but it no longer was legible.

"Weird name.." he muttered before shaking his head and glancing behind to see if the others were coming, "Are we stopping for the night, or are we going to keep on going?"

The long day seemed like it was finally going to wind down as they approached the lake. Mitsu smiled excitedly as she strolled up to the water's edge having not seen the sign. "The water looks so nice."

"It seems like a good stopping place as any," Neko replied. "Maybe we could catch some fish." Glancing at the sign Neko wondered what had given rise to such a name. No mater, at least it wasn't something like lake of doom.

Neko smirked down at Riyo, "Looked to me like you were a little too focused on sucking the lake down." And it was entirely possible that there were fish much deeper than near the surface where they could see. Content to freshen the water he had Neko dumped out the remainder of his water skin and filled it anew. Once full he took a drink content that the water tasted nice and clean and not like mud.

Without much warning Mitsu began to strip of her shoes and outer garments, throwing them in a pile near the shore. Once she was down to the bare essentials she dove on in only surfacing after a good deep swim. The water felt so nice and cool she was certain she could stay there for hours.

In a happy ruckus, Tobi didn't know what to do with himself. At first he was content to run circles around everyone who had started to slow down now that they had a potential spot to rest. Somehow when the others got tired Tobi got hyper. Then in a blur of tan and white fur he dove into the water after Mitsu sending water in ever which direction.

With a shrug, Blade glanced over the calm waters, unable to spot any signs of fish either. While he was looking, several of the others had gone on and dived into the crystal water. While it might have been fun, he didn't really want to go swimming at the moment.

Instead, he knelt down by the water and took a deep drink. The lake was cool and sweet, which was rather refreshing.

"Ah.." he sighed while sitting back to watch the others. There might not be any fish in the lake, but they at least had some rations left.

"There should be some small animals living in the area at least," he noted.

"Hey!" Neko brought up an arm to shield his face from the splashing water. He tried to look frustrated but it was in vain as a smile crossed his face as she blew a raspberry in his direction. He wasn't completely interested in swimming but how could he refuse a challenge....even if that's not what Riyo had intended.

Kicking off his boots, Neko removed his shirt and threw it aside with his shoes. Stretching his arms only for a short second he looked at Riyo with a grin, "Don't think that just because you're in the water your safe." With that last statement, Neko dove in after Riyo quick to catch up.

In the meantime, Mitsu was content to just float absorbing the cold from the water and the night air. If she used her imagination she could almost picture the place she saw in her dreams, the land of ice and snow. It was so empty looking but somehow it soothed her to think of it.

Her thoughts were only interrupted as Tobi swam up to her and tried to climb up on her stomach making her sink into the water. She splashed in sudden surprise but was quick to grab Tobi's front paws and place them on her shoulders as she swam normally.

"Tobi, Tobi!" She nearly sang as she swam in circles mimicking dancing with the dog.

A few quick kicks, and she had reached the bottom of the lake. Once then she let herself float upwards, allowing the water to soak through her skin and rejuvenate her. With a glance around she noticed that, even down here there was no fish.

Thats strange... She though, allowing herself to roll onto she was on her back, looking up to see the last rays of sun fade on the surface. She could see riyo swimming away and then neko swimming after her, and tobi and mitsu swimming around in circles. It also looked like blade had went into the water.

A idea then suddenly occurred to her. With a evil grin she swam to the bottom, and then kicked off in order to give her more speed as she raced towards the surface. Her objection, create a heck of a splash and see how high she could jump, and hopefully wet everyone else in the process. She was carefull not to bump into anyone else of course.

In Riyo's pause due to Poke's splash from the surface Neko had plenty of time to catch up. Water sprayed up in his face but that didn't seem to slow him down as he reached out to grab an arm or leg of Riyo's and pull her toward him.

Even though her swim was short, Mitsu grew tired quickly. It had been a long day and while this was fun she desperately wanted to get some sleep. Letting Tobi go she quickly made her way back to shore and shook off. Sitting back she decided it would be best to let herself dry before she redressed staring out at the ever growing darkness awaiting for the moon to arise.

Tobi, on the other hand, wasn't nearly done. Seeing Poke jumping and splashing he decided she would be the best person to play with. So with as much speed as a doggy paddle would get him, he made his way toward her.
