Boys, boys and more boys. And a sister she didn't want. There was the relief of Kay but still...Evari was starting to go a little crazy. She had wanted to hang out with Faris but she got no answer from the tavern, and so she'd been forced to call someone who wasn't her best friend in the whole wide world. But who? She didn't have many people she called her friend, and so she only had a few numbers to call. Evari had looked through the little list until she saw Victoria's name, grinning and calling the girl. She answered! Yay! She'd been hoping they could maybe meet up at that club again, but Victoria suggested some cafe...a little disappointing but whatever. So she put on her most impressive get-up in all its colorful mismatched glory, makeup and everything. For once it was even more influenced by the rave scene than just being totally random.
She waited outside of the cafe for the proper young lady she called her friend, her hands on her hips and humming a song she'd heard the other day. This glowing girl in strange clothes definitely stood out and looked out of place, but she honestly could care less what anyone thought about her appearance.

Victoria was in a dress that was anything but her, at least that is what Evari would think... Since the last time they met she was in her typical Victoria Era Fashion Wear. The spaghetti strap, form fitting dress was a creamy color with a red swirly pattern. It was still lengthy- mater of fact, to her ankles. A nice pair of strappy sandals. All daggers concealed, and only one dagger missing (the bodice- the most complicated to conceal). Her hair was half up, half down but all still all curl and complication.
Violin case in her left hand she raised her right to wave to Evari went she saw her. "I'm sorry I'm late. Practice got held over and I missed the first bus..." she managed to say it in nearly all of one breath before pulling her friend into a hug. "Been a while. It's soo good to see you!"

Evari was about to turn on the huge headphones sitting around her neck on and blast some music until she heard someone calling out to her and waving to her. She blinked, turning to look in that direction only to see a girl standing there waving at her. That girl sure was pretty...what was that thing she was holding? Her mismatched eyes drifted up and down the girl's figure, noting her pretty dress and the fact that she looked like she was dressed up for some snooty party or something. She only knew one person who dressed like that.
And there was the confirmation! Evari grinned and returned the hug, giggling. "Hi, 'Tori!" Evari held the hug for a moment and then held her at arm's length with her hands on the other girl's shoulders. What had she been saying? Practice? "Practice for what? Yer always dressed funny, 'Tori." She said with a grin, looking her up and down again. She was dressed 'funny' but she was...really pretty. Even her body looked different from last time! Whoa.

"The youth orchestra," Victoria giggled. "I didn't even have to addition. They had been scouting me out for sometime..." she stopped her sentence and motioned to the door. "Come on lets get inside and then we can talk from there... So much has happened!! Gosh I sure am glade to see you!!" She held the door for her girl friend. "I'm sure you have a lot to share as well!!"
There was still an air about her in how she carried herself but there was now also a slightly playful almost flirty side to her. Still every move she made appeared to be calculated to attract.

Orchestra? Huh...like...violins and stuff? Guess that suited Victoria! Evari grinned and gave her a careful pat on the head, trying not to ruin the other girl's carefully done hair. "Awesome! 'Grats, Tori~!" It was a little late but hey Evari didn't know until just now! She nodded at the door when Tori said they should go inside, reaching to grab it for her friend only to find it was already being held open for her. Huh. Well, okay! She seemed a lot different from last time, more energetic and easy going! This was a very good change. Evari couldn't help but glance at her in the corner of her eye. Very different.
H-huh? Share? What? Evari jumped a little and tried to remember what Victoria had just said to her, tugging on a stray piece of her own hair. Oh! Right, things to share. She chuckled and shrugged, her cheeks flushed as she turned her eyes away as she passed Victoria on her way into the cafe to stare at um...a sign. Yeah. Oh, it was a menu. Cool. "Eh...I guess. I haven't been doin' anything in'eresting." Boys, boys and more boys. Bleh. Evari folded her arms behind her head and waited for Victoria to follow her inside, watching the girl for now. It'd only been a short time since she'd last seen this girl, was she really so different now?
"You're really glad to see me?" Evari asked with a big smile, glowing a little brighter. Yay! Someone besides Faris and Kay was happy to see her! This made her really happy considering she'd been having it a liiiittle rough since getting this new 'sister' thing.

"Thank you," Tori grinned and wrapped her arm around Evari's waist so they were side by side. She pulled them both towards the end of the line. "Of course I'm glad to see you. We'll have to make it a habit more often," she winked.
"You should follow your own advice," she giggled. She had never forgotten the moment when Evari had told her to lighten up.
"Nothing at all," Tori said in absolute disbelief as she glanced over at the menu. Though it didn't look it she was indeed paying attention. "You haven't gone places or met anyone new or old?" It was hard to believe that Evari had indeed done nothing since they had last met.

Evari stared down when she was pulled against Victoria and alongside her, swallowing hard and forcing her gaze back up to her face when she said they should do this more often...and even winked? "Ah...yeah..." She agreed with a silly grin of her own, slipping her own arm around Victoria's waist as well. Wow! Her body even felt different!
Huh? What? Evari blinked and stared at Victoria now with confusion. Her own advice? What advice? What was she doing wrong. "I...huh?" She was plenty light! She was so light she glowed! But Evari giggled and shrugged at her disbelief and her questions, leaning against Victoria and looking over the menu. Xai had given her a little money to get some food and drink with, it was just a matter of finding something in a cafe she would like. Oooh muffins! And cookies!
"'Ve just met a bunch of dumb boys...one of 'em tried to kidnap me or somethin' at the beach...though there was that girly...I got a sister though." Evari didn't sound too thrilled by this. "But...my friend Kay helped me so...I dunno, I guess it could be worse. I could have two who bite and hurt and stuff like he does." She glanced at Tori again. "You're really pretty today, Tori."

"Remember at the club... You told me to loosen up," Tori grinned as she took a step forward. The line was moving at a steady pace.
"I've met several boys. They aren't really that fun to tease," she pouted. "They just give you this blank look. I guess they just aren't there yet, as far as, understanding what is going on goes."
At the mention of a sister and her disliking the girl she went straight faced. She to had sisters and at times, yes, they were brats. However, when it came down to it she loved them and didn't mind that much at all them being around. "I've got two sisters... And, they both can be brats at times," she giggled.
"Kay's a very nice boy. We've gotten into quite a bit of trouble together... or, at least that is how my dad sees it," she rolled her eyes.
"Thank you." Tori's cheeks went flush as she grinned so much she nearly glowed. "You look pretty hot yourself!"

Oh, right. But...hey! What was that supposed to mean? Evari's cheeks puffed out and she put a hand on her hip, pouting at the other girl. Loosen up? "I'm plenty loose!" A few adults turned their head to stare at the little girl who just called herself 'loose'. O-oh really? Haha...she must have meant something else. She must have! They turned away to focus on their own businesses and decide on their orders, ignoring the two girls again. Evari swayed side to sit with Victoria practically attached to her hip, raising a brow when she said the boys were hard to tease. Tease? Nuh uh! They were plenty easy to tease! Victoria must have meant something else... "Well boys're stupid." Evari rolled her eyes at the thought of boys giving anything other than a blank look. "Be better off without 'em." She said sagely like this was clearly the best logic anyone could come up with. Boys? Pff. Who needed boys.
Evari's eyes widened when Victoria said even she had two sisters. Whoa! Poor Victoria! "That sucks! I di'n't want one and you got two?" Even Kay had two brothers. Oh...oh no...did siblings come in pairs all the time?! No! She didn't want another sister! She tried hard to hide the momentary panic she was feeling, letting the subject change to Kay. At least that one made her grin, laughing at Victoria's eyeroll. Trouble? Haha! Hm...she'd never gotten into trouble with Kay before!
"He was the first kid I met! Or...the first anyone I met." Xai didn't count. Xai was her Xai, of course she would meet Xai first. Meeting anyone else before her would be just silly. "He's...not a dumb boy..." But he was the only exception to that. The only one. It wasn't like she didn't try and find a boy worthy of being on even a similar level of Kay, but there just were none! She blinked and watched Tori blush, giggling and hugging the girl until she was told she was...pretty hot?
Evari's cheeks got hot, and she was very thankful her skin glowed red anyway to make it less noticeable as she let go of Victoria to just link her arm with the other girl's for now, focusing her gaze on the menu. She looked hot? No way! She was just a kid, geeze! A silly little kid...with no 'hot' appeal to her. She cast a discreet glance down at her own flat chest and nearly pouted, keeping a poker face so Victoria wouldn't make fun of her. Man, she wanted a figure like Victoria's!

Victoria decided it was best to leave the topic of boys alone. This was suppose to be a day about them... So, why drag anyone else up that wasn't them or related to them.
"My sisters are tots, so they can be plenty annoying. However, at the end of the day all's good," she grinned. "My 'rents seem to think they are expecting more thus they are house hunting," she sighed. It wasn't the thought of a new house it was more the thought of more siblings.
"Kay taught me to swim," Victoria chuckled. "I was none to pleased about it but all's good in the end." 'After all I did survive the ordeal,' she thought to herself.
Tori could sense the slight chance in Evari's demeanor. She wasn't exactly sure what she had done other than compliment the other girl. However she didn't make it obvious that she noticed these changes... she had come to grips that she just had this effect on people.
"You pick whatever you want," Victoria said as they reached the front of the line. "Lunch is on me," she grinned. She glanced up at the menu once more... still unsure of what she wanted.

Evari chewed on the inside of her cheek, comparing Victoria's words to Kay's. It only sometimes bothered Kay, but other than that he was fine with it...and at the end of the day siblings weren't so bad? They had to be crazy! She didn't want to talk about stupid brothers and sisters anymore though. There were more interesting things to talk about. Like...swimming? Evari hummed, tilting her head a bit but still not looking at Victoria. She was too embarrassed for some reason. Imagine! Evari, the shameless, bashful about something! Haha! "Never gone swimming...was it fun?" She finally looked at Victoria, her cheeks still pink under her red glow but slowly fading. Until she imagined Victoria in a swimsuit anyway. Kay was nothing, she'd never seen him wear a shirt anyway! But Victoria like this in something like that? She blushed even more.
"Wh-what?" Evari blinked. No one had made her feel so awkward before! This was so weird, she wasn't sure what to make of this situation anymore. But she had money! "Xai gave me money, 'Tori, s'fine." She'd used Pilot so easily, why couldn't she just take something from Victoria? Faris was an exception, she adored Faris and would accept just about anything from her best friend! But Victoria?
Well...she did offer...but Pilot had as well! Then again she was really hinting at it... "I was just gonna get some blueb'ry muffins and a bottle o' milk."

"I guess swimming was fun. I don't see the leisure part in it... It was a lot of work!" When she had said that she hadn't really taken into account that it was just her first time. "I guess like everything else it gets easier with time," she twisted the end of a free curl around her finger. "Why won't you swim?" She'd only tell why it took her so long to want to learn to swim if asked.
She could sense that Evari was having a hard time with the compliments and the line. Even though she thought it would be fun to continue to tease she decided it was best to just let her friend go through the motions and to not tease her.
"My treat! I insist!" Tori's grin had a roller coaster effect when she heard that all Evari wanted was some muffins and milk. "You sure you don't want anything else?"

"That's 'cause you just started, Tori!" Evari laughed, patting the girl's shoulder. Could she not float or something? How silly! She nodded in agreement to Victoria's observations about things getting easier, watching twirl her hair for a moment as she was asked why she...wouldn't swim? Evari blinked and shook her head, tilting it a bit. She hadn't said she wouldn't! She only said she hadn't! Silly girl. "No, I wanna. Just never had the chance yet. How come you only started now?" She probably looked really pretty when she swam, right?
...Wait she could get more? Evari blinked and stared at the menu. If she insisted! Um...but...but what did she want? She didn't go to cafes very often! Haha this place even had wine! For a second Evari considered jokingly asking for wine but decided against it; what if Victoria really did try to get them wine? Surely that trick at the club wouldn't work here. She looked around at the displays, spotting a circular display with trays of cookies and cakes and little finger sandwiches. There were cookies with red stuff in the middle...and cheesecakes? Those looked delicious! "Cherry cheesecake...and those cookies!" Evari gasped, still hanging onto Victoria and staring hungrily at the treats. Muffins, cheesecake, cookies and milk. Hey, that was a freakin' awesome feast to her. If she had room for more maybe she'd ask for more later.

"My friend would like a slice of cheesecake, a blueberry muffin, a cup of milk, and some of those cookies," she pointed to the ones on display that had caught Evari's attention. "For myself I'd like a plain turkey sandwich on light wheat, a fruit cup, and a glass of berry juice."
Tori smiled politely to the man taking their order as she pulled out her change purse from her dresses pocket. She counted out the appropriate amount when he told her the total. She grabbed the receipt and number tent.
"Before we sit let's grab napkins and plasticware," she said as she stuffed the receipt into her change purse before putting it back into her pocket. She could hardly wait to set down the violin case.

Evari put her head on Victoria's shoulder while she gave their orders, humming and looking around some more. Man, a lot of stuff looked really good here! Her own company included! She nodded at Victoria's suggestion and finally let her go so they could grab these things, fixing a few of her bracelets and following Victoria to where the napkins and plasticware was located. Hmmm...Evari would neeeed a fork! But that was all, right? She could just cut the cake with the side of her fork, didn't need a knife. She grabbed a fork for herself and a handful of napkins, looking around and spotting an empty table for two beside the window. "Let's go sit there!" Evari grabbed Victoria's arm gently and led her to the table when she had all her stuff.
"So you play violin?" ...No, Evari. Victoria just carries that thing around to look cool.
