If Gaia ever has another item contest, how many of you guys would support me if I submitted an item which came with a slew of marching band instruments?

I'd probably make little examples of the instruments (in a "gaia look") and submit them to the arena to see if anybody likes them, but does anybody like this idea? I've always thought Gaia needed an item with musical instruments......my ideas for the object (it would be an item which came with a bunch of instruments at once)

Here's what I've come up with:

-Drum Sticks (I don't know how you would have a bass drum on a harness, cause unless your bass 1/2 it would cover your entire avi lol)
-Clarinet
-Flute
-Trumpet
-Snare Drum
-Cymbals
-Tenor Drums
-Mellophone/Baritone
-Saxophone
-Contrabass

Feel Free to Add any instruments to this list that are in your marching band, I just listed those in my band

I figure that for all instruments except for contra, snare, and tenors, that the instrument can be held by the hand while the arm is straight down, or for the other option, held across the body.

For Contra I thought maybe just have it stand next to the avatar, because 50+ pounds is a bit much for an avatar to be holding like a tiny flute.

For snare/tenor I think that they can either be leaning (with the heads tilted slightly towards the screen) forward on the ground near the avi or in front of the avi, but I think the drum sticks may just be the better option.


Its a big wish that this could be an item set, but regardless do you any of you other band nerds like this idea?

Lol my trumpet wouldnt leave my avi either.....I've wanted a musical instrument since I first joined 4/5 years ago, but to my dismay gaia never created an item, the enchanted strings got closer to that dream......but still nope.


Now being a mellophone would you want a seperate mellophone and baritone, just a baritone, or a hybrid? The mellophones and baritones do have a very unique look with the mellophone being a good amount smaller, but at the same time they are somewhat similar, so I wasn't sure which way to go with that.....

Same with the flutes/saxes......Flute/piccolo players if you could choose, would you want a piccolo and flute or would a flute be fine? And with saxes I figure despite being slightly larger then the other an enlarged alto sax would work in place of an alto sax and a tenor sax, but what about baritone sax?


One last thing........any sousaphone players out there have any ideas what I could do for a sousaphone as far as how the player wears the object?

Well essentially would you much rather a baritone as an item choice. And a mellophone as an ENTIRELY UNRELATED item choice. OR something that resembles both horns?

I would buy it. A clarinet would go with my name.

What about F Horn?

I'd rather have that than a mellophone.

Maybe we should keep it relatively simple?

Flute, clarinet, alto sax (MAYBE oboe and bassoon), French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone and Sousaphone (since it could wrap around the avatar, as opposed to being in the background like a tuba). Oh, and of course have some sort of percussion, maybe an item that could be equipped as cymbals, a snare drum, or drum sticks.

Maybe there could be like...three items. Woodwind Wishes, Beloved Brass, and Prestigious Percussion? =P Each would have a few instruments of their category!

I think just a flute would be fine...a piccolo would be too hard to see. But I would like two separate instruments for mellophone and Baritone. I play Baritone and although I like the mellophone players I hate being called a french horn when people talk about my instrument!
