It had been a long time since Sailor Pisces had gone on patrol. Repeated deaths, Sagittarius gone, and then the Opal Crystal. Blow after blow after blow, and finally the Zodiac seemed to be dwindling. After the relief of finally being able to escape Barren Pines dissipated, what was left but the worry and the pain? Stronger youma were about, and there were new people-- new enemies... enemies who had fought the Princess. Enemies who had stolen the Crystal.
Pisces had spent more than one night hiding under her polka-dotted covers. She had wished on stars, she had prayed to the ends of the universe that she had traveled so long ago.
It was only because of her past self, Soldier Pisces, that Pierrette got her nerve back. She had been late once, and it had doomed the Zodiac to be cremated. Now they were already down a soldier. Would Soldier Pisces once again be too late to do anything? Even if nothing could be done, would she just bow out as the enemies surged forward? What about the Princess?
So Pierrette transformed, and emerged from the cocoon of her bedsheets as Sailor Pisces. It didn't take her long to reach the innards of Destiny City. Pisces stood on top of a 24-hour convenience store and glanced down, watching the occasional customer walk out with a carton of eggs or a six-pack of beer.
Even if she only found a roaming youma that night, it would be a success. Getting past her fear and donning her uniform was a success. She had to do whatever she could to reclaim the Opal Crystal, and she prayed that the other Zodiac soldiers felt the same.

Unfortunately, all the courage in the world hadn't quite equipped Sailor Pisces for what was skulking in the shadows behind her. Having nothing to do with her time, Black Lady Serenity had appointed herself the official Senshi Tester for Destiny City. Someone had to decide whether or not these brand new members of the White Moon Court were up to snuff. At the moment, she was the most experienced and qualified senshi on Earth, which was a depressing and disconcerting thought. Nonetheless, she was determined to weed out the good from the bad, and that meant physical trial.
Chronos' court interested her the most. So far it seemed that the normal senshi wandering the streets were nothing different than herself or her mother's senshi when they were new to it all. Sailor Virgo had impressed Black Lady immensely, and never gave up, despite seemingly having no offensive attack. This spurred her on to potentially find others, and once again hanging around outside of Crystal Academy had turned up this girl. Her fuku, if you could call it that, was so absolutely absurd that the Lady had to wonder how the hell anything was actually done in it. This, of course, spurred her on to stalk the girl. But now her patience was wearing thin, and from the shadows behind Pisces on the building, a voice came.
"Waiting for someone to come out with something you want? That doesn't seem like a very nice senshi thing to do." Of course, she wasn't exactly nice either. But this girl didn't know that.

Despite being a Zodiac that survived Barren Pines, Pisces hadn't gotten quite used to being surprised. The girl was lucky that she didn't topple off the top of the building when she spun around to face the speaker.
Pisces couldn't see anything except darkness. The shadows seemed almost tangible that night, like a thick fur coat that you could shrug over your shoulders. She did her usual preparation move of digging her heels in so that she couldn't be knocked off her balance as easily, and eyed the darkness warily.
"I get enough of an allowance to buy a soda-pop if I want one," she said. "I wouldn't steal from the people I'm trying to protect."
Pisces squinted and bent forward, trying to see anything through the darkness. Stars that had been there before were gone, and all light that tried to lessen it disappeared.
"I'm just here because youma tend to show up at crowded places. I figure youma-hunting is the best thing I can start with. I need to get re-used to my powers, so that I can use them to get my princess' crystal back!"
