 After the incident with Ryuhei had been forgiven but not quite forgotten, Kredoe was finally allowed to wander again. She'd been forced to stay within Isiah's sight, in case she felt the urge to prod and poke at Ryuhei. Because it was what she enjoyed and what she would have done had her adopted father not been around to stop her.
It was the longest week of her life. She was bored out of her skull the entire time. She was grateful to finally be allowed on her own and she intended to make the most of her first day of freedom.

 Ydda wasn't certain where she was or how long she'd been wandering. The mare hasn't had much luck finding a place to settle down. Her attempts at laying down roots have ended in her being chased off or scared off. It had been disheartening, to say the least and there had been times she wished the ground would simply swallow her whole.
But rather than laying down to die and become carrion, Ydda found her hooves moving and taking her to all sorts of place. They brought her here. Wherever here was. Apart from it being in the middle of nowhere that is.

The first thing Kree did was to search for something interesting. Of course as luck would have it, there wasn't much going on. No hunters catching their smaller prey, no territorial squabbles between the smaller animals, no nothing. This won't do! Kree frowned. I am not about to waste any more time being bored!
She was entirely adamant about this decision that she pushed herself to go even farther than she originally intended.
And as luck would have it (thought Kree will argue she had willed it to happen), she spied a figure in the distance. Initially, she thought it was a mirage, just a trick of the heat and light. But she figured a mirage was better than nothing. She could create a story out of this, weave a tale of fantasy and adventure to tell and hopefully terrify her adopted father and make him worry about her even more.
Scratch that last thought, she decided. Isiah would probably keep her around the camp again. Still, she trotted towards the mirage, expecting it to be nothing more than that.

Ydda sighed as she glanced around in search of something to drink. Only now did she realize how parched her throat was. As she scanned her surroundings, she spied something, someone was approaching her. She saw no wings, no horns, and when her desire to flee did not kick in she surmised it wouldn't hurt to see who it was that was headed her way. But all the same, she was ready to bolt at a moment's notice.

Kree was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was not a mirage that she saw but an actual soquili. A mare to be exact. She hadn't encountered many females of her own kind so she was particularly excited by this prospect.
"Hello there," she greeted with a friendly smile. No sense in pushing buttons with her this soon.

Ydda seemed wary of the other mare, even when confronted with a sweet smile. She nervously pawed at the ground for a few moments before answering with a soft, anxious "Hello."
She reasoned to herself that she was thirsty and needed to conserve her energy. Who knows what this other female intended.

Kree bit back a groan and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Not another one of those one-worders. Then again, if she's like Ryuhei does this mean still water runs deep with this one too?
She's going to have to stretch her patience with this one, at least for the time being. Not everyone can be as obvious in their reactions like her adopted father. For now, she should try to glean some information about the mare as best as she can. "Don't take this the wrong way but you don't look so good."

Ydda blinked. That had certainly taken her by surprise. She wasn't offended by the comment, not really but she felt slightly concerned that her appearance was that haggard that a complete stranger could tell. If that was the case, she'd be an easy target for the more dangerous soquilis out there.
"Oh? I, I guess I should find something to drink and eat." She let the word soon go unsaid.

Kredoe did not miss the unspoken word. She didn't feel any particular pity for the other mare but the idea of stressing an already stressed mare any futher seemed uninteresting and predictable. If Kree wanted to see interesting reactions, the mare should be in a better state of mind.
"Is that so? You're welcome to refresh yourself where I live er-" Kree blinked upon realizing she had no idea who she had been talking to all this time.

Ydda looked away a little awkwardly, "Ydda." Was all she said to the other mare. She didn't seem interested in learning who she was talking to, which was probably for the best as far as Ydda was concerned. She wasn't being invited to stay after all.
"If I'm not intruding, I would like that very much." She hoped she managed to hide the tone of desperation in her voice.

"I'm Kree, in case you wanted to know." She beamed at the other mare before turning round to head back to camp. She glanced backwards and with the flick of her tail said "C'mon. It's this way."
Without turning to see whether or not Ydda was following her, the younger mare trotted back home. She wasn't worried whether the two-legged creature would take issue with their newest arrival but in case it did, she'd at least have found something new about their silent care-taker.
The trek back home didn't take too long and when they arrived, Kree led Ydda to where they drank. "Take your time, I need to let my adopted father know about you first. Don't worry, he's a pushover," she winked before walking off.

Ydda said nothing, just silently followed after Kredoe to where the younger mare lived. She wondered what her home was like, if she was the sole soquili or if there were others. Were they the only ones or were there two-legged ones too?
The trek didn't take too long and before Ydda knew it, she found herself at Kree's home and led to their watering hole. She watched the mare head off before Ydda scanned her surroundings. When she saw she was alone, she took a long, thirsty drink.

 Ryuhei's bruises were nothing life-threatening but the blasted two-legged creature was mollycoddling him too much. He hadn't been allowed to go on his daily runs until they had healed. Much to his irritation. He hated being cooped up at the camp with only that annoying mare and the self-righteous, self-proclaimed leader for company.
The moment he had been allowed, Ryuhei ran and ran and ran. When, finally exhausted, he decided to return. So here he was, slowly making his way to the watering hole where his eyes suddenly widened at the sight of another mare.

Ydda hadn't noticed anyone was approaching. She was too busy drinking to realize that she was no longer alone and it wasn't the mare Kredoe or her adoptive father. Once satisfied, she let out a soft, content sigh and took another glance at her surroundings. Gray eyes blinked in disbelief when she saw the stallion standing just a few feet away from her.
Her heart began to beat faster. She knew him, didn't she? From when she was still a filly?

Ryuhei recognized the mare. He knew who she was, noted how she didn't look too differently from when they were both foals, and how the scars on her shoulders had faded slightly over time. But he gave no indication of this. Instead, he marched up to her.
Past her.
And straight for the water where he himself took a long drink.
