I preferred the first game.
Possibly because I had the ending of the second game spoiled for through game play in front of my eyes while visiting a friend.
I refused to play it for months after that.
Finally started a file in it though, and it's not that bad.
Trying to have my character hook up with Jack right now since I made him merciless and the two of them seem to match up nicely.
I'm very fond of Liara. I found her innocence in the first game to be so adorable. Tali is pretty awesome too. Ashley annoyed me, so I occasionally question as to why I paired her up with Shepard on my run through with my male character on that game. Probably going to pair him with Liara for the hell of it on my next play through.
Wrex was also pretty cool. I preferred Garrus. I was planning on having my female Shepard hook up with him when I got around to playing that file.
