I've heard rumors that The Who might be getting a Rockband about them. I hope this is true.

Yeah the Who really need a Rock Band. They deserved it more than the Beatles.

Married with Children Yeah the Who really need a Rock Band. They deserved it more than the Beatles. The Beatles didn't deserve it at all. They aren't mainly rock.

I'd like to see a dedicated Queen rock band before they make one for The Who, but I'd definitely get both.

Brighton Rock I'd like to see a dedicated Queen rock band before they make one for The Who, but I'd definitely get both. It be awesome if either The Who or a Queen was was created. Which would be more challenging?

I have to disagree with you guys. Whether or not you believe they're "rock" (And if you ask me, I don't understand how "Helter Skelter" couldn't be rock), they had great music, and they had an amazing career that spanned many years. They are one of the most influential bands of all time. That's why MTV Games and Activision fought so hard to get the rights to their songs. They both knew just how huge a part The Beatles are in music history.
Besides, how could you not love Paul McCartney's counter-melody bass lines?
Green Day, on the other hand, is a band that I don't exactly believe deserves it yet, but, hell, I like Green Day! And with all the upbeat punky-ness that's under Green Day's older albums, and the stadium rock-esque sound they've picked up today, I'm more than sure it's going to be fun.
The Who would be an incredible band to have a Rock Band game for, I will say. I just wonder how it would work out, considering a good part of their hits are already on the Rock Band Music Store...

Which would be more challenging? I'm inclined to say Queen's. There are numerous uploads on youtube of Queen's multitracked songs, dissected so you can hear the individual instruments and such, and how tremendously talented Taylor, Deacon, and May really were. Queen also did so many different styles. The good news is that May posted on his website a year or so ago, that they were "discussing" a dedicated Queen rock band.. Fingers crossed!

Maybe the Beatles Pop-Band would be better.

Okay, let me breakdown something you guys might not understand:
Rock Band doesn't only cover Rock music in its games anymore. Ever bothered checking the online store? Two large COUNTRY packs, a FUNK pack, a LADY GAGA pack, and even a damn SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS pack are currently available to buy. None of these songs can be considered Rock, I don't give a damn what arguments you bring up. XD
Rock Band isn't about "Rock" music, it's about ANY music and the BAND experience. Being able to play and enjoy music with your friends without having to learn an instrument. That was what Harmonix set out to do when they first started.
It doesn't matter if not all of The Beatles' songs can be considered "Rock," what does matter is the fact that The Beatles' music is loved by millions of people around the world, and has inspired just as many. Harmonix knew this, and fought for the rights to create the game, so fans could experience their music in a whole new way, and so a new generation could be introduced to their genius.
And if you ask me, they succeeded.

Well, I get that, but, my question is, why don't they deserve a game? I honestly do not understand. They are just as deserving (If not more) as Aerosmith, Metallica, and Van Halen, really.

Since they are mainly rock, then the game can't be called the Beatles Rockband. What genre are the Beatles?
