The door to this room seems normal except for plates, made of a strange, silvery alloy, fastened to each of the four corners of the archway, and one in the center of the door. Each metal plate is inscribed with an elaborate rune and seems warm to the touch.
When the door is opened a huge cavernous room can be seen, warm air breezing out past you. A distant roaring of flame can be heard, as well as the ringing of metal-on-metal. There are a few pieces of simple, yet high-quality furnishings in this open area, a sofa, two chairs, and a coffee table. There are several stands around this room, holding various metal weapons and armor, all of superior craftsmanship, and some made from metals that do not exist in this world. In the corner is an opening that leads into a different room.
The deeper you get into the room, the warmer it gets. There is an archway and a hall extending from the back of the room. Through the archway you see a great raging blaze in a huge forge, and in front of it a large anvil. There are metalworker's tools layed out carefully in racks on the walls, and several smaller demonic workers move around the area, cleaning up, running the bellows, various simple tasks.

Gel begins to unpack his belongings and decorate his room, putting up a few wall-scrolls, three covered with ancient caligraphy denoting some philosophy and prayers, one of Spike from Cowboy Bebop, and the last one of Record of Lodoss War.

*steps inside* Hello!
There was one thing I wanted to know... Why are you allowing girls to enter without knocking, while guys have to knock?

"Easy, because according to the rules of this place... the girls make all the rules."
Gel bows to Pheonix_Soul with a smile.
"At your service my lady."

Gel picks up two ingots of metal, one of high grade steel, and the other a strange black metal, and places them in the forge. He turns to one of the worker beasts and directs it to begin pumping the bellows.

Soon the steel ingot begins to glow bright red, and Gel removes it from the forge with a pair of tongs, laying it on the anvil. He grips it with the tongs and lifts a large hammer in one strong hand and begins bringing it down upon the block of hot steel with a rhythmic pounding.

After less than two minutes of pounding the steel block has flattened remarkably and Gel holds it along the edge of the anvil and begins to bend it, eventually turning it over and folding it in half. after pounding it for a bit longer he places it back in the forge to heat some more, and pulls out the other block.

After spending almost an hour pounding the two pieces of metal, one after the other, he takes the steel and bends it. He folds it nearly in half but leaves a gap. He then takes the other metal and does the same, setting both back in the forge for a few seconds before bringing them back out again. He places the two together, linking the folds, and begins to pound on them, beating the metal together.

Gel reheats the two pieces of metal that have been pounded into a single block. He pulls them out and lays them on the anvil, beginning a cycle of pounding, folding, and reheating until the two metals are fused together and become completely inseperable.

Gel returns to the forge and prepares for another long hard day. He pulls out the hunk of layered metal, and throws it into the coals of the forge. The worker beasts begin pumping the bellows and before long, the metal is glowing hot.

"Perhaps odd, I won't deny that, but I am a bladesmith, and I don't want to get out of practice."
He takes the glowing piece of metal and begins on it again, beating, folding, reheating. He spends a few hours doing this, and then puts the metal hunk away again until tomorrow.
