Today I was clean my baritone when I found something. It was a hugh ball of green stuff! It was so gross! I can't beleive that my new school gave me a baritone with that in it! Has this happpen to you? Is it commen for my baritone?

I don't own any school owned instruments, but when I cleaned my student horn for the first time, it was DISGUSTING. After that, I never chewed gum, or ate before playing my trumpet. The green stuff in the lead pipe was atrocious!!

Is it commen for my baritone? i dont know about a huge ball of green stuff, but it's not uncommon for there to be green residue from valve oil and slide grease and such in ur baritone, i have to wipe off a bit every time i lube mine up. but being school owned, god only knows what you might find. There older baritones have threatened to fill mine with pudding, and weve talked about filling someone elses with jello.

My oboe was playing weirdly, so I asked my assistant band director to help me clean it, and when she did, this glob of green and gray stuff came out! It was gross! Oh, my poor oboe! xd

Pans_Lost_Guardian_RP i found $5 cleaing my saxophone In fifth grade I found a nickel in my trumpet, it fell out right before a concert......I guess when I got it at six years old, I confused it with a piggy bank.

in fifth grade band class one day, one of the tuba players found a comb and a container of hair gel in the bell. he showed it to the band director and he was so pissed that he threw it across the room. my god there has never been a band room quieter in history from that day on xd

There is a three year old bag of popcorn in one of the sousaphones at school. It's undoubtedly atrocious as well.
haha
I don't know how it got lodged so far in it, but they've tried everything to get it out. It doesn't really bother the sousaphone, but I'm positive it's not good for it
