Sometime during the night he had spread his tiny wings and taken flight. The flight itself had been mostly uneventful. The landing? Terrible. Certainly something that he needed to work at... Everything else? Like trying to figure out just how to get home?

Well, that had been something that the little god hadn't paused to think all that much of when he had first taken off and it was with a bit of regret that he had thought of it as the sun began to rise. Not knowing where else to go he had scrambled into the nearest bit of comforting darkness where he sulked for a good bit, eventually drifting into a daze-like nap.

It was only once he had recovered the energy he'd spent that he woke from his flight, taking careful notice of the area around him... "... 'Lo." He called out, hesitantly, listening as his own voice returned to him. Maybe he was lucky. Maybe he'd stumbled upon an empty cave.

He skittered back as another voice that wasn't his own made its way back to him, the sound of his claws grasping for traction on the stone floor beneath him as he tried to propel himself forward almost comical, and definitely cub-like. He finally managed to make his way behind a rock, ducking down for a moment before peering around it. "... No you!" His little voice squeaked back, not at all close to being intimidating.

He shrank down again, wings folded tightly against his body as though that could somehow make him disappear. It was hard, though, with the way his golden eyes were gleaming from where he hid as he watched... And waited.

There was supposed to be a way that he could make himself disappear. He had heard someone talking about it somewhere. Just close your eyes (he did) and think real hard (he tried) and... Poof.

The godling disappeared from where he had been hiding, suddenly reappearing in a little, disorganized heap not far from the paws carrying the source of the secondary voice. "... Oops."

The cub raised one wing in an attempt to straighten itself out, taking a moment to peer up at the larger, older lion. When he realized just how close the other was he let out a startled squeak, flailing helplessly in an attempt to right himself. His attempts were futile, limbs either getting caught up on wings or his tail as he tried to scramble, eventually falling flat on his face. "Please don't eat me."

His brow furrowed as he pondered the question for a moment, finally seeming to relax enough in doing so that he could straighten himself out. This lion was clearly larger than him and could clearly eat him if he wanted to... But he wasn't. That was a good thing; a very good thing.

"You wouldn't. Leli'ubati is not tasty. Not at all. Yuck. Ptoey." His nose wrinkled, tongue sticking out for emphasis.

"All leather. Tough and yuck and not good." He nodded, giving his wings a little flap for emphasis, quite pleased with the whole 'not going to be eaten' thing. Maybe this outing would wind up being a 'plus' experience to tell whoever would listen about and not a 'bad idea' like he'd initially thought.

He seemed to contemplate this for a moment before inching towards the larger male, lightly poking at one of the other male's green toes with one of his own paws. He then pulled his paw back quickly, glancing up at the other as if waiting to see if being poked would change his mind on the whole eating thing. If so, he was ready to try the 'poofing' thing again.

He sniffed lightly at the outstretched paw, tilting his head to eye it for a moment before reaching out to prod it lightly with one of his own toes. "Big paws." He murmured, more to himself than to the other male, brow furrowing as his gaze was redirected down to his own paws. "Little paws... Hrn..."

Maybe his mother was right. Maybe little plants needed sunlight to grow... But he didn't like sunlight. It was too warm and it stung his eyes. "This your home?" His head cocked again as he glanced back up.
