This meeting was far too late but inevitable in Serandite's case. She couldn't believe that her long time friend would reappear in front of her in such a surprising fashion-- with a bust size that was at least two times larger to boot. You'd think that she might of sent a letter with some text along the lines of "Oh hi, I'm back. How are you? I'm fine, I just joined a secret criminal organization that I'm perfect for, chest size and everything. Yeah, it was nice seeing you. Bye."

But no.

She couldn't even send a decent letter. (Was Valleriite even smart enough to write letters? She was probably texting on her phone and dropping cards in her top hat all day.) Teeth gritted against each other in a frustrated manner, eyebrows furrowed into a deep crease and annoyed brown eyes slanted towards the empty place that Valleriite was supposed to be sitting in.

LATE. As usual.

Even as annoyance filled her emotion bucket to the brim, underneath was a very incredibly small and shallow layer of happiness and glee to seeing her old friend-- All would be forgiven when Val conjured doves from her top hat. Serandite expected nothing less from her. She clapped her hands excitedly in anticipation of that stunt, kicking her legs up and down like a kid who had just discovered the great invention called a swing.

In Varete's opinion, it hadn't been long enough. Though the two could have been considered 'childhood friends', they were nothing of the sort now. As they had matured into teens, both had drifted away— one had decided to pursue her childish dreams, while the other had chosen to leave it all behind.

Taking a step out of the shadows, she greeted the girl with a careless grin. "It's been while, Serah." She said, as if the two had not been separated years before.

.. Though to call her Serah was a bit ironic when one took into consideration their current state of dress. "Or should I call you, Serandite?" She mocked, her words a subtle hint to her silent question of why Serah was in the ******** Negaverse. Never before had she imagined that Serah, sweet and innocent Serah to have joined such a heartless organization. She knew her, and if there was one thing that she was certain of— Serah did not have the heart to survive such acts of cruelty. To take the lives of others humans without a shred of guilt or remorse, it simply wasn't in her.

Yet, here she was.

She didn't know where to start. Nor did she care to. She'd give that honor to Serah instead she decided as she crouched down to inspect the captain's weapon, Loppy. To Serah's annoyance, she began to tug on it's ears as if testing the material before ripping it apart.

Serandite looked up at the sky before answering Valleriite, allowing the lieutenant to play with Loppy's ears. if it had been anyone else in the negaverse, with the exception of a few, she was sure that any other negaverse agent would have ripped the bunny to shreds by now. It was also due to their childhood past that Varete had the ease and easy intimacy to approach Serandite so casually.

Vallerite knew better then to incite Serandite's wrath-- ripping apart her bunny wouldn't be a mere matter of rage, it'd be eternal.

Serandite finally tipped her head to address Val silently, walking up to the tall blond girl. She started off their introduction by picking up a lock of blond hair from behind Valleriite. Only to yank on it. Yank hard. Much like a spoiled child who wanted something and yanked her guardian's sleeve-- a shadow crossed Serandite's expression, chocolate brown eyes darkening to a dark wooden shade of color.

"You can't even say one happy line when you see me. Not one." She put her hand on her hip in a posture of disapproval, one hand whacked Valleriite's face, a direct hit, with Loppy. It wasn't a gentle hit either, the bunny's stuffing made a rather unexpected weapon. Like hitting one with a textbook, actually. One of the last things that Valleriite probably expected-- or one of the first-- to get hit in the face with a rabbit plush.

"What the hell are you doing here? What are you doing in the negaverse? It's perfect for you but that's not the issue here. Goddamnit, how in the world did you get a better outfit in the first place?!" Serandite looked enviously upon all the card designs that had been placed and her humongous gigantic platform boots. (Valleriite couldn't be that tall. Serandite was sure that those boots added a good two feet, okay. Her own heels added a good inch.)

As amusing as Serandite's horror-stricken face would have been, Valleriite did indeed know better than to toy with Serandite's bunny like that. Though the sight of body parts and fluff proved to be quite the entertaining image,

Before Val could have predicted what would happen next, it was too late.

"Ow!" She shrieked, as she found herself hit--

(more like smacked) in the face by a stuffed animal. Unconsciously, she flung one arm up in a defensive posture. "I hardly think I deserved such a welcome." Her eyes darkened, her lips curved downwards in a scowl. What childish pouting. Val had thought she might have learn a thing or two about maturity in the organization-- but apparently not. It was Serah they were talking about after all.

Straightening her top hat, she flashed the girl a smug grin. "But of course." She fairly purred, "Anything you can do, I can do better."

Serandite's hand lowered, lowering her bunny to the ground in a gesture that her physical beating had ended. "I think you do. No call. No letter. Not one word that you were coming to Destiny City? You deserve hell of a lot more than that Val. You're lucky you got off with only one hit." Serandite retorted, chiding the taller girl, shaking her head, the bunny clip swaying back and forth with it's little smile ruined the stern effect from Valleriite's height.

Although Vallerite couldn't deny her own lack of communication. The way Serandite saw it, the girl had no excuses.

It was true that Valleriite excelled in everything that.. girls should excel at and Serandite didn't. Sex appeal was one. Attracting males was another. In fact, Valleriite was a shoo-in for those kind of jobs. The negaverse was certainly one way to entice men into giving over their starseeds dumbly. But there was one clear advantage that Serandite had in this situation-- One that Valleriite couldn't top.

"Oh but Val, you're simply a mere lieutenant. Even with your ridiculously inflated ego, who are you to insult me? Seniority does count in the negaverse. Especially since ranks go according to power. What would yours be? A silly cross that's used as a massive chopstick?" Serandite sarcastically remarked, eying Valleriite with intense rivalry. Between the two girls, on one side, if it was a manga book, you could see little rays of lightning sparking between them. Serandite's posture was smug, arms crossed, brown eyes locked in a battle with the taller female, head tipped up.

"Try me" was the message.

It was like this everytime the two girls met up.

Her eyes narrowed in reply to the girl's nonsensical tirade, "I have no need to report to you anything." She replied in a cool tone. During the move had been a rough time, hell she hadn't even told Cassius. However, if she put those factors aside, she still would not have told Serah.

The two had led separate lives, she had seen no need to involve herself in Serah's.. until now.

As members of the Negaverse, it was inevitable, she supposed. In reply to Serah's condescending words, "Nothing that can't be easily rectified." She said sweetly, with a dismissive wave. One hand rested across her stomach to her side in a relaxed and lazy posture. As if she would be threatened by a girl who was two whole heads smaller than her.

And for her weapon, a stuffed rabbit!. That took the cake, all right.

Her lips twisted into an amused smile as she asked, "But isn't it time for your bedtime?" She teased, with a childish pat on the head.

"That's cold. Absolute zero cold, Val." Serandite shook her head, wonderingly briefly what had happened to Valleriite during the move. But neither Valleriite or Serandite had the close relationship of delving into each other's secrets nor did they wish to.

Each had their own secrets to hide and both of them accepted that as a fact of life.

"Easily rectified? Ha!" Serandite scoffed, her arms folding as she leaned against a wall, one leg slightly bent in towards the wall. By the skeptical expression on her face, she doubted Val would be rising through the ranks soon nor would she be doing it easily.

Serandite brushed Vallerite's hand off, slapping her hand away. "I'm not a child-- stop treating me like one. We're less than a year apart. The only reason you're tall enough to pet me is because of those ridiculous platform boots. How do you fight in those anyways? I would have thought you'd fallen off the dock or something." Serandite eyed Val's large boots, raising an eyebrow. At least, she had practical mary jane that were flatter but she didn't trip face-flat on them.
