The hunger was something he hated, despised, loathed... It reminded him of the ring. The ring where they starved him for sport. Meat bags using him for sport! Squishy, meaty little things that forced him to do their dirty work because of the now broken amulet around his neck. His lips curled as he remembered their screams when he finally broke loose, the taste of their blood.
The hunger... He tried to keep himself from getting to this state, but food had become scarce in the area, or he'd over-hunted since leaving that dragon-kalona mare months ago on her own. It was a controlling force for him. When he felt the pains, he hunted. He hunted to force the memories away. The memories that always came with the hunger.
The ring... If it was one thing he learned from it was brutality was his strong suit. So he hunted, stalked until the quarry was down. He'd never forget or forgive anything that got away from him when he was hungry. That white wind with armor, Crousader. He'd hunt that pin-feather down and finish the job. A well planned banquet.
His stomach gnawed at him, reminding him of the present. But the white stallion wasn't here. So he went off to hunt, searching for something much closer. It wouldn't matter what, so long as he could stop the hunger and thus the memories.

The girls were walking, on one of Armelle's many adventures. They set out to explore the land around them, to meet new Soquili, and maybe even meet more Soquili. There were relaxing from the long walk. Armelle was looking around, examining the area around them for a moment, her friend Eliza had ened up wounding her leg coming down one of the small trails, and was laying in the shade of a rock.
Armelle turns to look over her friend, moving to her slowly, nuzzling along her shoulder. "It feeling any better?" She asked in a slightly worried tone. She knew there was always danger no matter where you go, her brother had always warned her to keep an eye out. She would not of stopped here if her friend was not hurting when she was walking.
Eliza would nod. "Some what." She would stand but the pain was to much and she has to rest once more. Eliza had sprained her leg pretty bad, and more and she would of cracked the bone, so they were stuck here. Armelle lets her eyes look around, those soft blue orbs looking over the land around them. "Well, rest up, but we are going to have to move soon. Staying here could lead to trouble."
She had a feeling in her gut that something wrong was going to happen, maybe it was where they were, or maybe it was just her mind going to far. She stayed standing, and close to her friend. Eliza closed her eyes, the pain was fine as long as she was not on her hoof, watching Armelle though made her seem safe, for though Armelle was scared she did not show it and was staying calm.

Myrddin had taken flight, gliding silently in the air as he scanned below for food. It was a tactic, a trick he'd learn when he was a wyrm from bats and predatory birds. It also worked on unsuspecting Soquili too. He didn't think he'd see much as he flew down the mountain side, but the hunger wouldn't let him forget it was there.
Then he smelled it. Pain. Fear. Intoxicating. Meat-Soquili. Mares. And then he saw them, one of them clearly injured by the way she held her hoof up. It'd be easier to knock the healthy one down, out of the way and end the suffering of the injured.
No, he wouldn't act hasty yet. He circled above them though, gaining altitude. He'd need it to pull off what he'd do next, but for now, he'd wait.

A flicker of her ears, and that gut feeling were only growing. Her eyes looked around them, staying close to her dear friend. A glance from the corner of her eyes showed that her friend had her eyes closed, oh grate, napping, now they were surly to run into trouble.
Hooves carried her away from her friend, looking around the area, almost scouting to see if anyone was around that could help. She had not moved far, only about teen twenty feet away to a cliff that could look over the land below. A lovely sight, but hard for them to walk down with one wounded.
Thirst was starting to show, glancing back over her shoulder to her friend, not once did she thin of looking up, the only winged soquilli she had seen was Thundara, and she was a wind, though she was rather rude, Thundara was nothing to be afraid of. The other mare was trying to ease the pain and sleep some, maybe the rest would help the wounded leg.

He pulled his wings close to his sides, much like that of a hawk's, and began to dive at the black and pink mare. He'd take her out first, giving him a chance to go after the injured one with little hindrance. A grin spread on his face as he snapped his wings back open to keep him from crashing into the ground, pointing his front hooves forward at the mare. If he'd done it right, she'd be knocked down with some injuries, enough to daze her.
With his wings still open, he used them to help propel him backwards. He turned to the injured mare with a nasty hungry gleam in his eyes. "Hello my sweet," he purred as he lunged towards her.

Armelle turns to the sound, though it was to late. She was knocked down, rolling a few times, her eyes closed. She was dazed, not knowing what was going on, or what to think. Eliza jumps slightly to what was going on, wanting to stand, but there was nothing she could do.
Heart was racing, auds falling to her head, and the fear was in her eyes. Her leg hurt as she was trying to stand, but only slipped back down once more, her eyes closing. Armelle lays there, a slight pain coming over her, the power of the hooves making it hard for her to even breath.

He delighted in the fear, taking in a deep breath at the intoxicating scent. But he couldn't toy with his meal too much or the other mare would awaken and he'd have to deal with her too.
He gave his tail an idle flick and he tilted his head to the side, staring at her. "Don't worry. You won't be hurting much longer." He pushed with his back legs, mouth opening as he aimed for her throat.
[-Letting you decide if he makes it or not.-]

Armelle was out of it still, head worling, and her breath was hard to get back. Though Eliza was watching it all, his words only make things worse, and as he went to kick at her she tried to move, though the leg hurt just to muck, but she was able enough to move where he got her shoulder, that hard kick breaking it, not making it sure that she would never get up.
She whinnied out in pain, her eyes closing tight, her eyes still full of the fear, they jolted over to Armelle, knowing that she was not going to be able to help, and the only thing going though her head was that her friend could be dead, the shallow breaths of her friend not noticeable at this distant.

He shook his head at the mare as if disapproving of a young foal's action. "You see what you made me do?" He kept his eyes locked on the weakening mare's body, gauging for an opening and hardly noticing her fearful glance to the pink mare. He wasn't worried about her. All his hunger was set on the already injured mare that looks so tasty to him.
"I don't want too much marrow in my meal. Be a good girl and let me make your end quick and painless," he crooned.

The young friend did all she could to glare at the male, her eyes opening and closing and she was unable to control it as her body trembled slightly. Her voice was broken and soft as she spoke. “I will not give in and die so easily.” She tried to move her body almost rushing with adrenalin and fear, but that was most likely not the best move.
Armelle though was starting to come out of it, her head no longer spinning but the breath was still hard to get back. Ears would slide back as she watched her friend, she knew there was nothing at the moment she could do to help but maybe get up and distract that stallion. As her friend tried to stand she would snort and roll so she could get up, weak shaky legs and the movement making her head spin once more.
