Armor of the Divine Will Silverite Requires: 38 Strength 18.38 26.25% +20% Spell Resistance
-5 Magic Armor such as this is typically granted by the Chantry to no lower than a knight-vigilant, and is relinquished only through the greatest shame or outright death. To a man, templars prefer the latter. Restriction: Templar Armor of the Legion
Dragonbone Requires: 42 Strength 21.88 27.3% +3 Willpower Indicative of its namesake, this armor is finely crafted yet purposely unadorned. Ceremonial Armor Red Steel Requires: 32 Strength 11.25 16.8% -3 Armor +10% Mental Resistance The rampant mabari of Ferelden appears absolutely everywhere on this armor: embossed on the pauldrons, etched into the cuirass, stamped on the leather. Nobody could doubt where it comes from, at least. When equipped in a set with ceremonial armored gloves and boots, the character has a greater chance of deflecting missile attacks.
The armor is sometimes dropped by the Cultist Leader at Lake Calenhad Docks after talking to The Spoiled Princess innkeeper about Brother Genitivi, which requires a previous coversation with Weylon.

Cloth Helmets Name ↓ Total Armor ↓ Total Fatigue ↓ Enhancements Notes Apprentice Cowl +5 Mental Resistance Circle towers are frequently drafty. The senior enchanters distribute these to the apprentices in the winter. Where they come by the cowls, however, is a mystery.
Cameo Cowl +2 Cunning +1 Health Regeneration in Combat Every so often, a bolt of inspiration hits an inventor that subsequently propels a society forward into a new era. This was not one of those inventions. A small, enchanted medallion set into the front of this headwear was supposed to bear an image of the person dearest to the wearer's heart. However, at some point, likely in a domestic disagreement sparked by some idle fancy, the cameo was damaged, leaving the cowl forever displaying the image of a stern-looking woman of elven descent who stares out from the wearer's head. Still, other enchantments redeem the hood's utility, and a note tucked into an interior seam suggests a further upgrade made by the last owner: "Fixed! Much better without the stutter!" Restriction: Mage
Collective Arming Cowl +2 Constitution Identified by a simple runic pattern on the inverse, this cowl was commissioned by a group of mages who improve the perception of magic by making problems disappear before the Chantry gets involved. Restriction: Mage
Enchanter's Arming Cap +1 Willpower +10 Mental Resistance Simple and effective, though certainly not standard equipment. Reserved for major Circle of Magi operations under full supervision of the Chantry, so much as they are aware. Restriction: Mage Enchanter Cowl +5% Cold Resistance +5% Nature Resistance +5% Spirit Resistance +5 Mental Resistance This hood is velvet; the embroidery is stitched into protective runes. The feathers are purely decorative.
First Enchanter's Cowl +10% Chance to Dodge Attacks 4% Spell Resistance This has an odd smell... like sulfur and gravy. Lorekeeper's Cowl +2 Willpower +15% spirit resistance A cowl decorated with silver and gold thread. Restriction: Mage R einforced Magus Cowl +2 Willpower +20 Mental Resistance -1 Dexterity More like a helm than most, this restrictive cowl was likely with a very specific need in mind. There are no visible runes, but the unknown monogram "L.X." glows slightly when viewed peripherally. Restriction: Mage The Libertarian's Cowl +12 Defense +0.25 Combat Mana Regeneration This heavy felt hood has a strange glimmer if seen from the corner of your eye. Restriction: Mage

edit Light Helmets Name ↓ Total Armor ↓ Total Fatigue ↓ Enhancements Notes Armsman's Tensioner Inscribed Requires: 18 Strength 2.0 +6 Attack Rapid Aim A relic of a particularly strict Tevinter Imperium lord, the unforgiving binding and trace lyrium in this helm do not so much grant a benefit as inflict one.
Bought from Varathorn at the Dalish Camp
Conspirator's Foil Inscribed Requires: 18 Strength 2.0 +20% Mental Resistance A thin layer of lyrium alloy under leather, insulated against attack and, one would hope, the lyrium itself. Instills a general wariness that may be confused with paranoia by the untrustworthy.
Bought from Bodahn Feddic at Camp.
Free Scout Arming Cap Hardened (Tier 4) Requires: 14 Strength 1.5 +2 Dexterity Form fitting and light, commissioned for someone who maintains shifting alliances and always needs the wind at his back. Leather Helm Varies Requires: 10 Strength 0.75 Helms of this type are assembled fast for quick arming of conscripted soldiers, although some veterans find their way back into stitched hide for specialized duty.
Longrunner's Cap Reinforced Requires: 17 Strength 1.75 +0.5 Combat Stamina Regeneration Fight or flight, stamina is key. Commissioned and lost by a well-equipped but unheralded mercenary company.
Owen's Remasterwork Grey Iron Requires: 12 Strength 0.9 +1 Armor Re-forged with remnants found on a battlefield, this helm shows traces of a strange enchantment. The original smith worked metal as it flowed through bone fingers, and likely would not be amused. Paragon Crown Requires: 10 Strength 0.75 Perhaps what mages most dislike about templars are their helmets. It hides the faces of those watching over the Circle, making them seem less like men. Restriction: Dwarf
Quicksilver Arming Cap Hardened (Tier 4) Requires: 14 Strength 1.5 +2 Cunning This helm has an angular runic pattern applied to the underside of the cap. The uneducated might dismiss it as trivial, but such people are not wearing it when they make that determination.
Qunari Thickened Cap Reinforced Requires: 17 Strength 1.75 +10% Mental Resistance This helm does not display traditional marks of qunari manufacture, suggesting that the name is more a commentary on stubbornness than accurate attribution.
Studded Helmet Varies Requires: 10 Strength 0.75 +3 Physical Resistance Common and practical, studded and boiled leather is adequate protection against typical battlefield conditions as well as more specialized tactics. A modest luxury.
Purchased from the Quartermaster in Ostagar.
Studded Leather Helm Varies Requires: 10 Strength 0.75 +2% Physical Resistance These helms are usually found with better-equipped civilian militias who have survived their first challenge--their own beleaguered quartermasters.
The Long Sight Drakeskin Requires: 20 Strength 2.25 +5% Ranged Crit Chance This helm grants a strange and unnerving acuity. It is claimed that the craftsman, an elf named Temolai, made only one better, but it allowed him to gaze upon the Black City and he was lost forever.
Found on the High Dragon corpse during The Urn of Sacred Ashes quest edit Light Helmets (Awakening) Name ↓ Total Armor ↓ Total Fatigue ↓ Enhancements Notes
Quicksilver High Dragon Hide Requires: 24 strength 2.75 +6 cunning +9 defense +5% chance to dodge attacks This helmet smells of years of sweat, although it's too well-made to discard.

Medium Helmets Name ↓ Total Armor ↓ Total Fatigue ↓ Enhancements Notes
Ancient Elven Helm Veridium Requires: 22 Strength 1.6 1.73% +25% Spirit Resistance The metal of this helm was forged into organic vine and leaf shapes. When equipped in a set with ancient elven armor, gloves, and boots, the character gains a bonus to defense.
Ancient Elven Helm is found in the Brecilian Forest. It is obtained by trading a book, the Dusk Ring or a scarf with the Mad Hermit. The book is obtained from the elves, the Dusk Ring from the haunted camp site in the forest and either the scarf which is obtained from the elven wife who was bitten by a werewolf or the aumulet you get in exchange for it from the elven hunter.
* It is still possible to complete the quest for the elven hunter without the scarf. But you cannot chose the dialog option mentioning it.
Barbarian Helmet Varies Requires: 14 Strength 1.0 1.5% +2 Attack The horns on this have been carved with designs of hunting dragons.
Camenae's Barbute Silverite Requires: 30 Strength 2.1 1.88% +2 Defense against Missiles Rapid Aim Patterns like wind and waves have been engraved on this helmet. The emblem of the Waking Sea bannorn is displayed across the front.
Dead Metal Bucket Silverite Requires: 30 Strength 2.1 1.88% +25 Mental Resistance The maker's mark traces this helm to Camber, one of the first human settlements to fall to the darkspawn. The city is long a ruin, but strangely the helm bears non-traditional elements.
Dwarven Helmet Varies Requires: 14 Strength 1.0 1.5% +2% Physical Resistance This is good dwarven work, forged by Smith House Tollar.
Helmet Varies Requires: 14 Strength 1.0 1.5% It's hard to get more basic than this metal hat.
Qunari Infantry Helm Varies Requires: 14 Strength 1.0 1.5% +2% Mental Resistance This seems to have been made for someone very large. The metal has been etched with a swirling design almost like wind or waves.

Heavy Helmets Name ↓ Total Armor ↓ Total Fatigue ↓ Enhancements Notes Commander's Helm Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% An imposing helm designed for the rising Fereldan officer, but also an excellent investment for anyone ready to commit to a serious career on the battlefield. Executioner's Helm Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% +25 Stamina Excellent support for the committed warrior, on the field or during work of more unpleasant necessity.
Grey Warden Helmet Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% The most basic protection for a heavy warrior of the Grey Wardens, and representative of their unique profile on the battlefield. Always recognizable at the head of a charge.
Griffon's Helm Silverite Requires: 34 Strength 2.63 2.8125% +15% Electricity Resistance A relic of the high-flying past of the Grey Wardens and the legendary "aerials," griffons now lost to the fight against the darkspawn. This helm is constructed to very unique specifications of battle. When equipped in a set with the Griffon's Beak, the character becomes immune to extra damage from flanking attacks.
Griffon's Helm can be found in the Denerim Market District in a Warehouse whose location must be revealed by Riordan.
Heavy Dwarven Helmet Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% The workmanship of this helm shows the incredible skill of the dwarven smith caste, the fruits of which are coveted by committed fighting men and women across Thedas.
Helm of Honnleath Grey Iron Requires: 20 Strength 1.50 2.36% +2 to All Attributes +3 Armor Situated on the edge of the Korcari Wilds, the remote village of Honnleath has long had to defend itself from marauders of all sorts.
This item is found on Kitty, a Desire Demon within Wilhelm's Cellar in the village of Honnleath. Requires The Stone Prisoner DLC
Helm of the Deep Steel Requires: 20 Strength 1.75 2.58% +2 Constitution +10 Mental Resistance +10 Physical Resistance There is a legend amongst the dwarves of the Legion of the Dead that, three centuries ago, a commander of the Legion came across the body of a legionnaire wearing a helmet inscribed with lyrium. He took it, and died nobly... and then his body was found years later by another commander--and so forth, for generations. The helmet is said to be a sign of an honorable death for the lucky dwarf who stumbles across it.
The Helm is aquired by completing all five achievements in Dragon Age: Journeys. The online browser game made by EA 2D.
Requires the Helm of the Deep DLC
Helm of the Legion Dragonbone Requires: 38 Strength 3.13 2.93% This helm is as much designed to obscure as it is to protect. The Legion redeems all, regardless of history, but at the cost of a living identity. To become something you must accept nothing.
Helm of the Red Steel Requires: 22 Strength 1.75 2.475% +1 Dexterity +10% Fire Resistance Most notably worn by Ser Ferris the Red, born of dwarven enchantment and Fereldan materials. Or so it is said. Ser Ferris was a trickster of many means, and his walk through fire took more than one road.
Proving Helm Iron Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% +1 Willpower +1 Constitution This helm represents the ancestors' blessing of a young dwarf's first steps on the long road to glory. A symbol of transition and a promise of greatness to come.
Qunari Commander Helm Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% The metal this was forged from is particularly heavy.
Soldier's Helm Varies Requires: Strength Requirement Varies based on Material, with a base of 18 1.25 2.25% Basic protection for the rank and file of a major militia, or those who have yet to fully invest themselves in a life on the battlefield. It's heavy and hardy, but quickly forged.
Thane Helmet Varies Requires: 18 Strength 1.25 2.25% +3 Defense This is a Chasind design, meant more to be frightening than protective.

Bergen's Honor Dragonbone Requires: 42 Strength 3.75 3.90% +2 Armor +6 Attack +25 Physical Resistance When the Grey Warden Bergen knew he was at the end of his life, he descended into the Deep Roads joined by a full company of the Legion of the Dead. They slew hordes of darkspawn, clearing tunnels that had been lost for centuries. When at last they fell, a lone dwarf brought back Bergen's helm, as well as his defiant and inspirational tale.
Purchased from the Bodahn Feddic at the party camp. Requires the Collector's Edition DLC.
Cailan's Helm Varies Requires: 42 Strength 3.75 3.90% +1 Armor +10 Mental Reistance A plume of royal purple extends from the golden helm. When lowered, the visor is clearly reminiscent of a crown. When equipped in a set with Cailan's Greaves, Breastplate, and Gauntlets, the character's fatigue is reduced and he gains a bonus to health regeneration while in combat.
Looted off one of the Darkspawn Generals in Return to Ostagar
Corruption Dragonbone Requires: 42 Strength 3.75 3.90% +5 dexterity +1 armor +75% spirit resistance This helm, wrestled from a commander of the darkspawn forces, carries powerful enchantments. It is uncomfortable to wear, though, as a constant whispering seems to surround the bearer, as if the helm carries echoes of the archdemon's commands.
Duty Silverite Requires: 38 Strength 3.15 3.75% +2 Constitution The griffon wings clearly mark this as a Grey Warden helm. In good light, thin ribbons of lyrium can be seen rippling through the metal. When equipped in a set with the Effort armor, gloves, and boots, the character's spells or talents cost less to activate.
Duty can be found when you ask Dog if he see's anything in the Deep Roads.
Heavy Infantry Helmet Varies Requires: 22 Strength 1.5 3% The mark of a West Hills crafthall is stamped on the inside of this helm. These are generally made for knights fighting on foot beside their mabari.
Juggernaut Helm Silverite Requires: 38 Strength 3.15 3.75% +1 Armor +10 Mental Resistance Emblems of the Imperium and phrases in ancient Tevinter are etched in lyrium all over the inside of this helmet. It's slightly cold to the touch, as if neither the sun nor body heat could warm it. When equipped in a set with the Juggernaut armor, gloves, and boots, the character gains a bonus to strength and constitution.
Obtained during the quest The Mage's Treasure
knight-Commander's Helm Varies Requires: 22 Strength 1.5 3% +5 Physical Resistance Made to withstand blows from the claws of an abomination, this is far more utilitarian than pretty.
Rock-Knocker Red Steel Requires: 36 Strength 2.70 3.60% +25% Physical Resistance The Rock-Knockers are a storied battalion of Orzammar's lost sister city, Kal-Sharok. A less stoic version of the Legion of the Dead, they are also less committed to inevitable death, honorable or not.
Soldier's Heavy Helm Varies Requires: 22 Strength 1.5 3% An emblem of the Imperium has been engraved onto the crown of this helm.
Standard Bearer's Helm Varies Requires: 22 Strength 1.5 3% +2% Mental Resistance It looks as though this has been reinforced several times. The smith who made it was either extremely concerned about blows to the head, or the person he made it for was paranoid.
Templar Helm Varies Requires: 22 Strength 1.5 3% Perhaps what mages most dislike about templars are their helmets. It hides the faces of those watching over the Circle, making them seem less like men.

[edit] Wrists
There is only one article of clothing worn on the wrists: the Wrist Irons you start the game with. They cannot be worn with any gauntlets or bracers (such as the Bands of the Chosen). If you want to maximize the number of enchantments you are wearing, enchanted wrist irons are the only non-armor option for your wrists. These will not hinder your spell-casting abilities and never need to be repaired. Name ID Weight Value Where to Find / Notes Wrist Irons 000BE335 0.0 0
* On your wrists when you start. * Additional wrist irons are available from the official plug-ins: o Two pairs are in the jail cell of Unearthing Mehrunes Razor o One pair is in the cattle cell of Deepscorn Hollow. o The expansion Shivering Isles also adds another pair, found at the end of Dunroot Burrow where the felldew addicts reside.
