Odyssey sighed to himself and laid down on a warm rock in the sunlit area surrounding Hidra lake. He was so happy... All alone with time to bask in the sun. It was the perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky. And Odyssey loved it, "Mmmmm, what a lovely day... All the time in the world to soak up a little sunshine..."

 Autumn had wondered off to find the black and red nova in hopes to talk with him. "Where could he be?"She asked herself as she trotted along with her children behind her. She noticed the same nova, basking in the sunlight by the edge of Hidra lake. " Is that you, Odyssey?" She asked aloud for him to hear.

Odyssey jumped slightly and lifted his head, dark red eyes sleepy in the sunlight. "And you are...?" He didn't remember this Nova, though she was quite lovely with her rust red fur and white markings. Standing up and jumping from the rock, landing gracefully, he swished his tail awaiting and answer.

I'm Autumn... You are the father of my children." She says shyly as her tail swishes back and forth. She watched to see how he would react. "
There's Ankou, Rust, and Tenkai." She told him as her children came out from the trees behind her. The black and red nova with white markings, watched the older male carefully.

Odyssey took a few moments to react... But when he did finally respond most would think him clinically insane. "Your.... Children.... My.... Children...." He took that time to faint. His red eyes taking on a blank look. He was out like a blown light bulb...
Tenkai and Rust immediately ran over to him and said to their mom, "Mom..." Rust started... "Are you sure he is our dad... He doesn't look like he even knew about us..." Tenkai finished.

" Watch what you say to mom!" Ankou snapped at his siblings with a low growl. He didn't like other nova disrespecting his mother. "Well he is your father, but he might not remember since that was quite a while ago." Autumn said calmly as she walked over to the fainted Odyssey. She licks his cheek in hopes to wake him from his faint spell.

Both Tenkai and Rust laid down on the ground with their ears laid flat. They shivered slightly. Their brother was always mean to them...
Odyssey dreamed of the night he spent with Autumn. When they agreed to have kits together. And how they said they would be together forever.
He woke slowly to the comforting feeling of having his face licked.
"Mmmm... Autumn... Is that really you...? I thought you had left a long time ago..."

"I never left, Odyssey... You are the one who left me behind..." Autumn spoke as he stopped licking his cheek. She was heartbroken when she woke to him gone from her den. She had to take care of her three children by herself. " Now, Ankou. Please be nicer to your siblings..." she told him calmly when she saw the other two frightened. " Sorry, Mother." Ankou said with a sigh then looked at his siblings with a slight smirk.

"I remember now... I am not sure what happened fully. I just know I woke up miles away from the den. He looked up into her luminescent yellow eyes. "I am sorry Autumn..."

Autumn looked away from Odyssey. " I took care of our children... All three of them. do you know how hard it was to feed them and almost get myself killed..." she said as tears began to roll down her cheeks. She didn't know why she wanted to find the father of her children. Ankou began to growl at Odyssey for making his mother cry," I'm going to tear you limb from limb..." He snarled then lunged at him with his teeth bared.

Odyssey looked to the little growling younster, who was the spitting image of himself with a little of Autumn in him. "Calm yourself youngster. I have words with Autumn. Not you..." He moved closer to her. "I was tricked. I followed something ethereal looking. It was a fleeting orange spirit.. Or at least I thought it was. It was a trickster of a Nova, known only as the Mute Nomine... She lured me away, and for some reason I could not find my way back..." He sighed and licked her cheek, tasting the salty tears. "Please... Autumn understand... I have searched for you... I tried.... I needed to be near you Autumn... Only you can make me happy..."

Ankou keep his teeth bared as he watched the red and black nova get closer to his mother. He watched him lick his mother's cheek, this made him growl in a protective way. " It's alright, Ankou. Mommy can take care of this..." Autumn said as her soothing voice calmed the savage child. He sat down in hopes to keep his mother safe. "How can I believe you, Odyssey? I've been alone up until I bore your children..." She said with a hurt-filled tone. she cried even more, creating more tears to roll down her cheeks.

"Mommy... Why are you so sad...?" Tenkai said.
Rust walked over to Autumn and nudged her. "Please Mommy! Don't be sad..."

Autumn looks at Tenkai then Rust,"Mommy will be fine. As long as daddy stays close to her, right Odyssey?" She says as she wipes her tears away with her tail. She looks at Odyssey through her luminous yellow eyes," Will daddy come back home with his family?" She asked then licked his cheek with a light smile.

Odyssey smiled so happily that his face would have cracked wide open, "Of course Autumn. I will come home." He licked her check and purred deeply to make her feel better, tucking her head below his chin.
