Though she was not a wolf, Cleite was considered a member of the pack since the day she was found. She had been raised shoulder to shoulder with the wolves of Antianeira, whatever training they did so did Cleite. Though she didn't possess the overall strength of a wolf from the pack she could certainly hold her own in a fight. As a member of the pack she kept up the same duties as the others and today was no exception.
For right now her duty entailed checking the packs southern border. It was a simple yet very important task and Cleite preformed it with pride. They had recently made an alliance with a pack that lay direction to the south of them and now the southern border was a gateway for the two packs to meet. One was never too sure of when an allied pack member would come to visit either to take up Penthesilea's offer of training or for some other reason so the southern border checks were even more important than before.

Boreas was not a happy lynx at the best of times, no the vast majority of the time he was foul tempered and his mood as bitter as a winters northerly wind. However old age had taught him that heated actions lead to nothing if not a great deal more trouble that you were physically able to bail yourself out of and while you were young you thought you could take on the world but now he was older and wiser and his temper simmered beneath a surface of muttered curse words and dirty looks. However Boreas was actually in one of his better moods today, even after many miles of tiring travelling he knew they were drawing close to their destination for the air was cooling and the terrain became a little steeper as they nearer towards the northern territories, closer to his old roaming grounds.
Liriel made for an interesting companion and they seemed to tolerate one another in limited amounts and so often Boreas would travel on ahead acting as more of a scout for the raven masked female. It was while he was a mile or so ahead of one of the Ladies of the Reign of Terror that scents became to waft into Boreas' nostrils, he wrinkled his nose and muttered some profane link of words under his breath; no matter that he choose to keep company with wolves he didn't find their scents pleasing. He snorted clearing his nose and then inhaled slowly trying to get use to the new scents and then something registered under the stronger musk of the wolves, there was a lynx with this wolf packs territory, he focused and a small smile formed, a female lynx.
With that morsel of information Boreas picked up his pace a little, not jeopardising his stealth though, his large paws spreading across the soft ground the size of dinner plates peeled up and placed down a stretch further making as much sound as snow fall. He was down wind, much to his and Liriel's advantage so this meant he could close in a lot closer that if they had been up wind, their scent travelling further. Boreas was not stupid however, crossing a wolf packs territory unannounced was not something one did, not even if they were here to collect tribute for one of the strongest wolf packs to walk all of Telk and more to the point that was not the impression the Regin wanted, from his understanding. No, enter bodily and declare your intentions for the Reign had nothing to fear. With that Boreas wondered if he should head back to Liriel and let her make the first impression, this was wolf business of course he was merely here at his own masters beckoning to gather information solely for her use. He decided against that however and instead he was urged on with the desire to seek out this female lynx, what harm could that bring?
Onwards then he pushed when he came to the actual boarder of the wolf pack, the scents here were pungent and Boreas growled with displeasure and quickly passed by the scent markers. He focussed on another scent, attempted to forget the musk of numerous wolves, it was becoming stronger now and the knowledge of this brightened his usual sour mood, slightly.
