Zip. Zap. Zoom!
Faster than lightning itself, Jolteon spread out across the savannah like a furious flame. She ate up ground at a ridiculous pace. Why stop? What was there to stop for? In all her life she barely stayed still long enough to eat a meal before tearing off again.
It was a vicious cycle. Her legs burned, her chest ached and sometimes her paws bled, but it was all in pursuit of victory. A victory even she didn't know.

It was a warm day and Mihika felt restless. There was no need for food, no predators to run from, or any prides to hide from - so what was she to do? The leopard grinned, maybe just maybe she should...
Maybe. Maybe she would do that.
With a growl Mihika jumped from her perch and started to run. She kept running even when she saw a small blur on the horizon. Something unusual bloomed in her chest - curiosity and a playful nature. That feeling lead her into running towards that approaching blur. Mihika giggled. Today was a day for play.

The golden cheetah's eyes strayed for her path long enough to confirm the prescence of another. She smirked. Company was few and far between in her fast pace lifestyle, but definately welcome.
Jolteon dropped her speed to run along side the mint leopardess. "Evening," she called. "Beautiful day for a jog!"

The pads of her paws would have been bleeding - that is if she were any normal leopard- but a harsh life of constant running had toughened the pads like stone. But that didn't make her any faster, Mihika had to give the speed to her yellow companion.
"Evenin'!" She grinned at the cheetah, "Beautiful day indeed! Ya'd think I was racin' towards a dust storm with that speed o' yours!" She laughed lightly before looking back ahead to jump neatly over a crumbling boulder.

Jolteon barked in laughter. "Nothin', but natural gifts!" It felt so good to have a running companion that she hadn't noticed that her brain was no longer hard wired to move. She slowed to an easy jog for as much the leopards benefit as her own. "And what about you? I thought the ground was coming up to get me!"

"Very natural gifts! From the gods!" Mihika laughed lightly as her body relaxed into the easy jog. "Survival skills that. Nothin' like your pure talent there." She grinned over at the cheetah, "It was such lovely weather that I jus' couldn't resist chasin' ya!"

((Logged over MSN when the guilds were down.))Jolteon laughed so hard that she snorted. "Just call me the Goddess of Lightning," she winked. She just hoped that the actual God hadn't heard her. Singed fur was so last season. "Glad you did, Ms. Leopard. What brings you to these parts?"Sabra Knight Mihika's tail flicked in amusement at the wink. Really! She could believe it. "Well Ms. Cheetah, the name's Mihika first of all. And for what brings me here? Well my paws. I just follow them." Her eyes lit up with a faint amusement, "For I have no real purpose anywhere. What about you?" "It's Jolteon," she supplied easily, hopping over a stone with a simple gait. For such a skinny creature, the cheetah held alot of muscle power. "Basically the same. I visit with a friend every moon cycle or so, but really, I just keep running. When I'm not moving I go insane." She laughed at it, but really, it was the truth. It would eat at her until she couldn't see straight.Sabra Knight "Ah. I see." Mihika's expression grew a tad bit solemn though she threw a grin back to Jolteon. She understood the feeling - maybe not fully, but her constant itchings to move gave her an idea. "I'm too afraid to stay in one spot. Too many dangers." She admitted softly as she snaked through the grasses after the cheetah.
Her indigo eyes widened immensely and had she not seen it before hand, she would have tripped in a pot hole. "Have you been attacked often?" What kind of life could she be leading that would have her in so much danger? Jolteon herself had only been in a few situations her entire life, but when you tended only to stop for a little rest, that tended to happen.
Sabra Knight "Often enough." Mihika glanced over at Jolteon with surprise. Was it that odd really for another cat to attack her? Not even just cats - she remembered vaguely the sensation of being chased by some sort of dog as a young cub. "No-not that it's been as bad now." She gave a bitter laugh, "I guess when you're not so tiny any more and not so young then they tend to give you more space." Unless it was like that crazy lioness. Gods forbid she ran into that one again!
"Jeez." Jolteon whislted, her eyebrows drawn up in concern. "I couldn't imagine living like that. I guess I was lucky to have mom when I needed her." Maybe she hadn't given her mother enough credit. If life could be that hard on your own, then she was kind of happy she wasn't Mihika. "Well, don't mean to be rude, but this is my turn." She motioned to a craggly cliff face with a thin winding up it. On top of those hills would be a very lazy, albeit adorable cheetah waiting for her return. "Goodbye and good luck!"
Sabra Knight "Yeah. Very lucky." Mihika smiled warmly even as Jolteon started to leave. "Ah, it's fine! Goodbye and goodluck to ya too, Jolteon!" The leopard raised a paw in a slight wave before turning around herself and weaving back towards the taller grasses, back to her solitary roamings
