So.
The Captain Whiskers Doll Ears are absolutely perfect for the cosplay I'm going for.
HOWEVER.
They're faaar too high on my head, especially with this (near-perfect) hairstyle. I don't particularly want four ears...

So, any cheap good suggestions for covering my base's ears, NOT including earmuffs if at all possible?
I've thought of the Winter Bride Holly Veil, but that's about it.
