It was a beautiful day to take a child to the zoo - the sun was shining, the birds were singing, there wasn't a single cloud in sight. . . but it was also a horrible day when you had to chase after a blonde ball of energy in the heat of the day in order to prevent her from climbing in with the tigers and getting herself eaten as a midday snack.
"NO, Luvvie!" Tish said for the umpteenth time as she caught the back of the toddler's dress, holding onto her despite the chicken wings flap-flap-flapping as Luvenia tried to get away.
"But MOMMY, I want to play with the big kitties," the blonde complained, stilling her struggles to look up at her mother with sad blue eyes. A pair of equally blue eyes matched the child's gaze without flinching.
"Luvenia, those are not kitties, those are tigers. And they could eat you up for dinner if you're not careful and stay away!"
Luvenia kicked her feet and scowled. "No they won't, they're my friends! Stacy and Tiny!"

Eve walked with a trio of unusual people. One being a dark elf, wearing sunglasses and dressed entirely in black with a slight limp. Another being a gentleman that was quite pale with light brown hair and gentle eyes. The third was the most human and annoyed, Lila frowned as Eve seemed to stay ahead of them.
Eve giggled as she knew her nanny wouldn't be able to watch her closely. The toddler ran in the black skirt and green tanktop that Ivy had picked out.
She grinned and ran back to her mother, grabbing the assassin's hand and pulling her to where the white tigers were.
Ivy winced as her leg protested the fast pace her daughter set, but the assassin endured it to see her child so happy about being at the zoo.

Luvvie found her attention distracted from the tigers for a moment as she saw another little girl heading in the same direction, and she squealed happily. "Hello! Hello! I'm Luvvie, wanna be friends?!?" she called, waving from where she was straining against her mother's controlling hand. Never mind that she had no honest idea of who these people were - it didn't matter to the little blonde, who simply saw the opportunity to make another new friend.
Tish grunted with the effort of holding her daughter back, then finally scooped her up and carried her over to the odd group of people with a child. "Sorry about this," she said, shrugging. "Luvenia can be a handful sometimes." Well, more like all of the time, but these people didn't need to know that, now did they?

Eve blinked at the hyper greeting, wondering if she should hide behind her mother or stand her ground. However when the girl came over with a woman that Eve figured was the girl's parent, she decided to stand her ground and be friendly to the girl.
Ivy smiled, ruffling her own daughter's hair. "It's all right. Kids are hyper sometimes though your child seems more outgoing than some of Eve's friends." Damin and Lila grimaced and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it seems any child can be a handful."
"Sure, I'm Eve. It's pleasant to meet you, Luvvie," Eve hugged her mother's leg slightly though was trying to be friendly.
"Please pardon my manners. I'm Ivy and the two others with us are Damin and Lila," Ivy offered a hand to the guardian of Luvvie.

Luvvie smiled and offered her hand to the other little girl and beamed. "Come see the kittied with me?" she asked, wings fluttering as she darted about like - well, llike a headless chicken. "Oh! Oh, and we need to see the teddy bears, and the big big birds, and the slithery snakes and the fluffy laughing puppies!" She added, bouncing on her bird-feet and beaming brightly at her official new friend.
Tish sighed and rubbed at her forehead, feeling a headache coming on. She nodded politely at the other adults, tugging Luvvie back closer to her side. "I apologize for Luvvie's. . . over-enthusiasm," she said, wincing as Luvvie accidentally stepped on her foot. "She watched a television program about the zoo a while back and has been like this ever since. I'm hoping one visit will be enough to get her over the excitement, at least a little."

Eve nodded, "Don't you mean bears, tigers, hyena', and the birds?" Her mother had read to her about them, from both storybooks and fact books about the creatures. Eve let go of her mother's legs as she wanted to see the white tigers.
Ivy chuckled, "Eve was nearly the same way and it's all right."
"Eve had me and the others reading from fact books and watching animal programs with her."
"Eve has been wanting us to come to the zoo for some times. Something about wanting to sketch the animals."

"A-huh! That's what I said," Luvvie declared with a bit of a pout, fluttering her wings and sticking her hands on her hips, indignant that she hadn't made much sense to the other toddler. She wasn't stupid, she just had her own names for things. And she thought 'fluffy laughing puppies' was a better name for the giggling animals than 'hyena' anyway. Her name for them was lots better. "So do ya wanna go see them then?" the blonde toddler asked, indignation of moments ago already forgotten. "They're waiting just for us, you know!"
Tish rolled her eyes at her little drama queen and patted the blonde toddler on the head. "Luvvie, don't assume things," the brunette said gently, then added for their temporary companions, "We really don't mean to bother you all on your outing."

Eve liked using the names people called them though it was amusing to hear hyena' called fluffy laughing puppies when she knew they were quite vicious and was said to have a little cat in their dna.
Eve nodded and giggled, "White tigers are pretty creatures." After looking at her mother and getting a nod, Eve ran towards the habitat set up for the tigers.
Ivy chuckled, "You're not bothering us. We're only here to make sure Eve doesn't get too curious and doesn't nearly ends up eaten by the animals she admires though I would advise about letting her see some snakes. They freak her out a little."

Luvvie giggled and nodded, flapping her wings excitedly. "A-huh! They are pretty, they are!" Twisting out of her mother's grip, Luvvie took off after Eve, leash trailing before her and flapping in the wind. "Wait for me, wat for me miss Evie!"
Tish smiled. "Thanks for that, I know Luvvie tends to... be a littler overexuberant at times, I just don't want her to push your little Eve into anything she feels uncomfortable with."

Eve stopped a a little ways from Luvvie, waiting for her as she did what her friend asked. Luvvie seemed nice even if she was more hyper than Lilium was sometimes.
Ivy chuckled, "Eve's stubborn and she'll refuse to do something she's not comfortable. I wouldn't worry about her. No problem." The assassin knew how stubborn her daughter was and trusted Eve to handle herself when it came to stuff she wasn't comfortable with.
