It took two or three days before she could visit Kaito, Shiro and Ura. During those days Lin had to heart to heart with her mother and father (all the while wanting to kick her father). It had taken that long because one, she had several siblings still living at home, two, she needed to gain her parents' advice and three, that's how long it took to ease Miyuki back into her home.

Well, as much as one could, they were standing in front of the clan library, also the home of the neko three. Miyuki was standing close to her mother clutching her doll to her chest.

Lin put her hand against Miyuki's back, "Come on, we're going to visit your cousins."

"Co'sins?" Miyuki asked as she let herself be led into the building.

She was still sad that Earendil had left, but her mother had said they could visit, but only after they visited the rest of their family. Slowly, Miyuki came to understand she did have other family, grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Unfortunately because of the make up of the Winters family it was hard for Miyuki not to see Earendil still as family.

All three of the nekos were in the library, where Shiro and Ura had remained since their return from their trip. For them, Lin had only been gone three days, and Shiro was still busily entering the record of their adventures into his computer. Once it was finished, he would get it published - just two volumes, one for him to carry around and one for the clan library: the rest of the world didn't need to know about Arda.

Ura had been a bit antsy, and he had been spending quite a bit of time playing video games to keep himself busy while Shiro worked. Kaito was the social one, visiting the family, recounting their adventures, answering questions. But at the moment even he was there, working at a computer of his own - a gift from Shiro, who had more money than he could spend - but rather than working, he was playing an MMORPG, something he had been introduced to by someone he had met in the city.

It wasn't hard to find them, a person only had to follow the sound of typing to know where they were. Lin had to admit it was a bit strange seeing Kaito on a computer.

"Hey," he called out once they were in sight, "Interested in sushi later?"

She wondered if Miyuki would eat it, well there was meat, she would probably eat it.

"Always," Shiro replied, his ears perking up at the mention. "You're so glad to be back you're buying?"

Ura dropped his game controller and hurried over to join the conversation. "Sushi?" he purred.

Kaito looked up from his own computer. "Ha!" he laughed, seeing Miyuki. "I was right!"

Lin resisted the urge to roll her eyes at Kaito. It was also very obvious as to how catty the others were as well seeing how they perked up at the idea of sushi.

"Kaito said Miyuki was a kitsune, and bet a sushi dinner on it," Lin explained dryly.

Miyuki stared at Kaito before pointing at him, "Cat."

"Neko," Lin corrected.
Miyuki blinked before amending with, "Old cat."

Lin blinked and then remember she had been trying to teach Miyuki words from other languages.

All three nekos burst into laughter at that, and it should come as no surprise that Shiro was the first to understand where that came from.

"Lots of time in the Borderlands, eh?" he chuckled. "Have to say, she's a quick learner."

"So who gets the sushi dinner?" Ura asked, leaning forward. His tail flickered back and forth slowly.

"We spent the winter in the Borderlands," Lin explained, "So there was a lot of time to teach."

Though she was picking up things really fast, which was probably the only sign that she was a stage growing child.

"And Kaito does, but I'm willing to buy for all," Lin offered, "Besides.. I think some of you might be interested in some additional information about Amon Darthir."

Miyuki eyed Ura's tail, sure she had her own but this tail was not as bushy as hers and it was more like a snake or so it seemed.

"Amon Darthir?"

All three nekos turned their attention to Lin, everything else forgotten.

"Did something happen?" Ura asked.

"You talked to Aerin, right?" Kaito questioned.

"Did you have problems convincing her to return?" Shiro pressed.

"Talked to Aerin, she was willing to go back, but only for her people and no other reason," she paused and tilted her head a bit.

She looked to Shiro, she always had wondered how much he might have noticed.

"Shiro, did you know that the kingdom was having problems? Besides the gnomes I mean?"

Miyuki toddled over to Ura looking at his tail. It interested her, fortunately she stopped putting other people's body parts into her mouth.

Shiro shrugged. "What kingdom doesn't?" he replied. "Sure, it was the worst I've seen, but what can I really compare it to? The only other kingdom I've seen is Grandmother's. I admit, I was not happy with how Amon Darthir was run, though."

Ura's tail had just about stopped moving, now that the conversation had turned serious, but he eyed Miyuki warily as she looked at his tail.

"This is true, though I'd draw the line at knowing that the King is a complete control freak," Lin murmured thoughtfully, "The King pressed all the men into service, which was why when the rest of us went into town there were only women and children. He controls nearly all aspects of their lives, they even need his permission to get married."

She frowned a bit because it reminded her of Rhea.

"Which means there was a chance that he wouldn't have let Rhea marry Aurin. Aurin was more likely allowed to come back with us because he was the one who had taught Aerin how to fly a roc. His people hate him.... whatever freedoms the people have is because of their historian Alena."

Miyuki blinked at looked up at Ura and smiled. Her tails flipping around her allowing her to hug them along with her doll.

"Tail."

"Now that," Shiro said, glancing over at Kaito, "is something of which I was unaware."

Kaito stared at Shiro. "Don't look at me," he said defensively. "I wasn't paying attention. And I didn't know all that!"

"On the other hand," Shiro went on, turning back to Lin, "I was aware of the way the people feel about their king. And to be honest, I was very confused when he treated us so well ... at least at first."

Ura grinned at Miyuki and flicked his tail at her playfully. "Good one," he grinned at her. "I see you've been making progress."

Miyuki smiled, she seemed to have understood that her saying things and pointing out the correct names made people happy with her. She held up her doll.

"E-dil doll!"

Lin sighed at that, so it seemed that they weren't the only ones that had missed something back at that island. Though at least Shiro got enough to know he didn't quite liked how the kingdom was being run.

"I hate to admit this, but I think he only did so to gain our cooperation. He needed us to get Aerin back, granted I think he's going to regret wanting his daughter back now. Aerin left only for the people, and she's going to overthrow her father. For Rhea, Aurin, Elros and Alena's sakes I hope it goes well, even if I am not quite comfortable with the idea."

Shiro stared at Lin. "Elros?" he repeated, his one ear twitching the way it did when he was completely baffled. "What does he have to do with anything?"

"Good for Aerin," Kaito muttered under his breath.

Ura grinned at Miyuki and glanced over at Lin, his cat-eyes mischievous. "Oh really?" he purred. He knelt down in front of Miyuki and patted the doll on the head. "You certainly are special to have an Earendil doll all to yourself. Does Earendil spend a lot of time with you and your mommy?"

Lin chuckled a bit at his bemused look, to be honest she had done that on purpose.

"Alena told us she knew Elros, and thought he had died. What she didn't tell us was that she is his wife and before the Light Elves left they were attack by dragons and was separated. Hence, she thought he had passed on. So Elros, is simply reuniting with his love."

She remembered how shock she had been to find that out.

Miyuki nodded but looked a bit sad, "But E-dil not com' home."

She didn't understand why, Earendil was family after all.
