History: Nithan claims he was born and bred in the Weyr, but that would be a lie. He was conceived there, yes. His mother had been a candidate in her final year when she left her candidacy by having relations with someone she claims until she's blue in the face was a Brownrider. He doesn't believe that for a heartbeat. He was born in Eron Hold in the family home, and raised there for his first 6 turns of life. His mother had found the Hold ways of life boring compared to the Weyr though, and voted to go back. her parents would have none of her up and leaving her child with them and so she brought him back with her to join the other Weyrbrats.

Though not born there, he quickly established himself among the pecking order with his fellow brats and started to earn a name for himself as being a bully. And he loved every minute of it, aside from the punishments for being caught. He didn't get much contact with his mother during the early years, but once he was nearing the age to Stand she started spending more time with him and putting the idea in his head about his mysterious "Brownrider" father and how wonderful being a Dragonrider must be. He's been determined to Impress ever since, and has taken the disappointment each turn since then with a sour grapes sort of demeanor. The ones that passed him up just weren't good enough for him, naturally. His was going to be magnificent, they'd see.

Description: Stringy. Nithan is not one for hard labor at all. He could pull his weight, but really he'd rather bully someone else into doing it for him, and often does. He has short, combed-back black hair that he does take some hint of pride in. He sees it as one of his finer features. His eyes aren't really anything spectacular, a dark blue with some flecks of brown in the iris that are barely even noticeable. But he knows they're there, and sees them as small imperfections to his otherwise "flawless" face.

Personality: In all truths, Nithan is a bit of a jerk. Okay, it's more than just a bit. He knows what he wants in life, and you or anybody else aren't going to stand in his way. He has some delusions of grandeur about his own status. He sees himself as the pinnacle of a Bronzerider and wants almost nothing less, though a fine Brown would certainly be nothing to sneeze at.

He loves finding little bits of information to blackmail someone else into doing his dirty work for him. He doesn't really like the physical aspects of bullying, and prefers the emotional and mental approach. There is a good side in there, somewhere though. He won't let most know, but he does hold a soft spot for girls younger than him. The older ones, well they can take care of themselves, but the younger girls need someone to look out for them. He knows he's a far cry from being anyone's knight in shining armor from those old stories, but it is a nice thought. It certainly doesn't help if the girls are cute either, but he won't even think about going there. Not until they're older at least.

Other: In his own twisted way he can be a bit of a flirt, with comments like "You aren't as dimglowed as her, so don't worry I won't make fun of you."
