there have been only 3 major nuclear powerplant incedents recorded.

1) 3-mile island, NY.
No one died, security systems worked

2) Chernobyl, U.S.S.R.
everything within a 100 mile radius has died, just recently become inhabitable

and then the one that is mentioned within the Zombie Survival Guide.

3) Khotan, China
unknown (presummed the result of a zombie outbreak)

now i thought this to be a fake incident till today (4/22/2010) my physical science teacher taught us about nuclear power and radiation. He said the Khotan incident actually happened! I know this is not enough to actually confirm it BUT i am bringing my teacher, a man of science, my copy of TZSG (with that specific incident marked) for him to look over. For now i am dubbing this -OPEN- until more information can be brought to light and my teacher has had a chance to go through the book.

Honestly my opinion: We can not take anything China says about this incident to heart. No one outside of the Chinese govt will no for sure what has happened and we cannot take the information they give us as fact. It could have been covered up.

While I am gathering more information please post what this says to you, also discuss it if you wish too.

China could have just been trying to get publicity by spreading rumors. . . . . Either trying to cover up something bad (incompetence) with humor or someone was trying to expose something by having it investigated. . . . . . ninja

Also, the land around Chernobyl just recently became inhabitable? And here I thought it was inhabitable from the moment the radiation spread. The residents of Pripyat could have stuck around all these years rofl (habitable)

So do I junkasa, so do I. . . 3nodding

It's not a spelling error, you used the wrong word. Inhabitable means nothing can live there. Your sentence is saying only recently are people unable to live there meaning they could have lived there before now after the incident. The word you need is habitable meaning they can live there now.

2) Chernobyl, U.S.S.R.
Everything within a 100 mile radius has died, it just recently became habitable.

We get it, we get it.

Anyway, interesting, very interesting. I'm gonna do some more research on this to confirm some things. Can you post some links or any references relating to your theory? It would help with this a lot.
