The sunset female lay quietly across the desert sand, her paws stretched out lazily in front and behind her, taking in the much appreciated breeze, and the lovely sunlight.
She sighed as she lay there, completely alone, and in a rather sour mood, of course sour moods were this female's specialty, but not the kind she was in. This time around she felt a sense of emptiness, her heart thumped lightly in the chest as she sat there, remembering the lovey dovey couple she'd seen earlier in the day.
Grumbling to herself out of pure jealousy Aimi kicked the sand up into a small tornado behind herself and watched as the gentle breeze swept it away into nothing once again...

 Karoto was laying in the grass thinking about his fight he had the other day with the striped male. This was far from his first right due to his sarcastic and rude manner but it didn't matter to him. Due to this though he had little friends. He was born as a loner as by this time her gotten use to it.
While he was deep in thought, Karoto notice a small sand whirlwind that blowed next to him. He quickly shoot up to surprise to see a female no to far off.

The female quickly jerked her head in the direction of the movements she had head, it took her only a moment in the blinding sun, to notice a rather brightly colored male not too far off from her.
She scoffed it off at first, not willing to deal with anyone in the mood she seemed to be stuck in, but as much as she tried to look away from the bright contrasting colors, her eyes couldn't look away. For a conscience second she thought of determining the Shakaiyo's gender, but quickly shook herself back to reality.
It didn't matter who he or she was, it wouldn't change anything.

Karoto stared at her debating if he should go investigate who she was. While he was trying to figure out what to do he notice her looking at him. "So, she knows i am here." he mumbled to himself. At first he just shrugged off that she was looking at him but with more time gone by she still stared. "maybe she wants me to come over." He whispered to himself, "Well she is still starring at me."
With that new thought in his head, he decided to slowly approach her. Not to far away he could tell she wasn't in a great mood from her body laughing. So he stopped in a good safe distance from her, knowing some females can be crazy. Since he still wanted to say something so he wouldn't come off as some creepy stalker so he said the best thing he could come up with. "So, are you going to share at me all day?"

The steady footsteps were a bit harder to ignore than everything else, and the female turned around once again, her hackles bared and the fur on the back of her neck stood up. As she got a closer look, she noticed the Shakaiyo she'd taken note of earlier was definitely a male, a sinking feeling beat it's way into Aimi's chest and she burrowed her head back into her paws, attempting to ignore the male, and his apparent interest.
It wasn't long after she'd buried her head however, that the male spoke up.
His comment actually allowed the female to laugh half heartedly and she looked up at the male with confusion in her eyes.
"Who said I was staring at you?
Trust me you aren't even close to worth my time."
Aimi snorted to herself, and brought her head back to hear paws, hear tail swishing lightly in the faint breeze.

"ya you may say that but i am not blind. I saw you look at me...more then once. Maybe your just a bit embarrass i caught you doing so, who knows. Worthy or not, i don't really care, princes."Karoto said in a mocking manner and continued "Well i can see why your here alone, i wonder if you even have friends. Man, i can't believe i thought you where cute. I must have bad taste in women." He added as he flung his tail around. He didn't know what crawled up her a** but one thing was for sure. He wasn't going to stay around to find out.

"You may not be blind, but you're obviously a bit too over confident don't you think?
Just because someone turns to look at you, I have to be drawn to you?
Over confidence can be a blessing and curse, you might wanna take some time and figure out what exactly it is to you.
And by the way, I wasn't looking at you, your colors struck my attention, I have abnormal eye sight, and bright colors seem to pull at my sight. NOT that it's your business."
The female shrugged off the annoying male's comments, and cursed herself, and her eyesight for drawing her to his attention. As she sat there, cursing to herself and rolling her eyes at the male's idiocy, the male said something he might have kept to himself, had he any sense anyway.
Quickly and gracefully jumping to her burdened paws, the female stood her ground before the male and glowered at him with a face that could kill.
"Get this right - dog -" The female spit the words out as though they were poison.
"Friends are a worthless attribute to life, why any one finds them necessary is beyond me. Besides - when you have the responsibilities I have, friends aren't even in your vocabulary.
And on another note - I'm only here because some annoying female kidnapped my beach, this is my second home, and i'm here until she's gone."
Aimi gracefully turned her back on the male, and made sure to slap him clear across the face with her tail. Not enough to hurt him, but just enough to drive him crazy.

Right when Karoto was about to leave the female opened her mouth again and with his personality he had to say something back. "First off who in the hell said i thought you where drawn to me? I sure didn't, Now who is the confused one." He told her in annoyed voice.
When the female turned to him growling he didn't shrug one bit and just glanced at her. "You know technically i am a dog and so are you. Wait strait that your more of a b***h."He said smugly and continued "Oh, yes others are so worthless compared to you princes right? Well that is fine think that but remember this when you die who will remember you? No one thats who and if they did it would go along the lines of this....
"You remember that one crazy a** female?"
"oh you mean the colorful one?"
"ya, her"
"man, she was a crazy thank god she isn't her anymore. what happened to her?"
"i have no idea but thank god it did.".... " Karoto started to laugh knowing his words where true and he could picture it perfectly. "And if some random female was able to take the beach that means i have easily take over here since i am stronger then the other female."he added laughing knowing he was just going to stay here to annoy her now. But once she slapped him in his face with her tail, he squatted it down with his big paw to the ground.

The growl on the female's features faltered for just a moment as she realized she had obviously worded her first comment incorrectly. She quickly formed in back into it's original form of distaste and began spitting remarks once again.
"Oh damn you caught me -" She mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes into the back of the head. "I suppose what I really meant is that you must be confused, just because i'm looking at you, doesn't mean I reciprocate your feelings."
She sighed again and fluffed her tail around her backside slightly.
"On the b***h part - I suppose you're correct, I mean if we have to be specific that's very true, though if you're trying to be a smart a**, I have to warn you, you're incredibly off the mark."
She hushed her mouth, scowling as the rest of the male's words escaped his mouth. He sure did love to flap his gums, and he HONESTLY had no idea who he was actually mouthing off to either! You'd think a Shakaiyo would think twice before speaking back to someone twice their size with more muscle in her tail than he had in his entire upper body, but not this one...
With a quick growl and no reaction time on the male's behalf, Aimi quickly bared her teeth and jumped right into the male's face, her nostrils flared and the air that escaped them made the male's braids flow with little effort.
"You have no idea who I am." She yelled the words and listened as they echoed off the empty atmosphere around them. "I can guarantee you my death will be a disappointment to my pack, without me, my pack stands with no protection. Countless lives have been saved at my expense. I can only name two Shakaiyo in my entire tribe who call me crazy, and they're crippled pups with no chance of survival outside of me!"
With each passing second, and breath her voice got louder until she was practically able to be heard in the surrounding mountains, aside from her overbearing voice, she was now towering over the male, forcing him to walk backwards as she took small steps towards him.
"You think you're man enough to take this land from me, I want you to try. Though I can't guarantee in terms of the outcome on your end.
If it weren't for that female's scratchy irritating voice my beach would be mine again. She could NEVER overpower me, and she was bigger than you are.
So come on Mr. Tough Guy.
Are you really man enough to take on someone twice your size?"

"First off i doubt she was bigger then me since i am bigger then most males around here. In fact your the only other i seen in my life that was bigger then me, princess. So i guess that makes you some giant of something. But i don't want this land, i trivial so this would mean nothing to me. Most likely this will be the only time i get to be here but you never know. " Karoto commented with no fear shown with her threats and face in his. "And how in the hell was i suppose to know who you are? Does it look like i am from your pack? I am pretty sure only your pack knows you." He added. Karoto then plopped down and laid on his back not concerned over the female's threads about attaching. "So are you this packs leader or something or just there guard dog?" he asked wondering

Aimi couldn't help but crack her fierce hackle bearing growl, and tumble over in laughter at his comment. Surely he was exaggerating? No, maybe he wasn't, but that just made it all the funnier!
Trying to hold her breath and slow her laughter, the Shakaiyo wiped a small laughter tear from her eye with her tail and spoke up, through small grunts of laughter in her speech. "YOU?
The biggest Shakaiyo around these parts? Surely you're exaggerating a bit, you aren't all that big at all, I can't allow myself to believe that your the top dog around here - especially when that god forsaken female at my beach is bigger than you are!"
She broke out into another fit of laughter and smiled as she rolled around in the sand, the sun glinting off of her beautiful colors as she did so. "Un-Unless you're trying to tell me this area is dominated by runts. In which case - I bow to you oh leader of the runts!"
She snorted again as she stood quickly and dipped her head in mock respect.
She then stood back and listened as the male continued, "Oh I doubt my pack's the only one that's heard of me, i'm actually a big deal in the pack world. But - I suppose a packless runt like you might not understand..."
She shrugged it off not really all concerned whether or not he understood the inner workings of loyalty and devotion that pack life entailed.
"I also wouldn't call myself a guard dog, that sounds more like a term someone jealous would use, i'm more a protector, the wall that stands between the life of our baskets and the extinction of our pack. But like I said, I doubt you'd understand."

Karoto just shrugged off her annoying comments about his size. He hostly didn't care what she said really because he knew the truth. From all this traveling he knew that average size of Shakaiyo and he was well bigger then it. "Well, i guess this area is home to giants then, because everywhere else i been i was the bigger one. Laugh if you what but it just shows your immaturity." He said to her when she was done laughing and mocking him.
"and your right i wouldn't understand but i don't really care to in the first place as well. I still find it odd though" he paused for a bit then continued, "If you have a pack, why is it that not one person in it is your friend? i find that sad really. But i don't know much about packs i never really seen one or been in one. But i guess in packs the "protector" is not allowed to have friends or pups. I say this because you body clearly shows not signs of childbirth. Plus i seen many couples that have baskets and keep them safe with out a "protector" so your pack must be weak." Karoto stated.

She smiled broadly wagging her tail and excitement as she giggled the words.
But her smile would soon fade on the inside as this ignorant male began flapping gums again, for the most part, Aimi was unsure if the fact was that he wasn't really listening, or if he really was just an idiot. But she tried not to let the confusion and debate distort her broad smile.
She quickly rolled her eyes at the male's ignorance, half bent to just get up and leave, and half bent towards beating some much needed sense into him. But she took the safe road and settled for trying to explain the apparently very confusing topic to the idiot.
"You know, I still haven't quite pegged if you're just an idiot, or if you only hear what you want. Maybe you should clean out your ears, there might some carrots clogging your ear drums."
She smiled lightly and continued.
"As I previously stated, friends are a waste of time, my life was meant for greater purposes, not to be some idiot's right hand pal when they decide if they'd rather fish or fruit for lunch. "
Aimi's eyes became alive with intensity at the mention of pups. Which sent her into yet another fit of giggles, only this time, she didn't roll on the floor laughing about them.
"If I so chose to have pups, I could do so of my own free will, but what makes you think I want those annoying pests? I already protect them, now you're saying you want me to take time away from my pack to give birth to my own? PFT My pack would be put into unnecessary danger! All for a bunch of stupid babies." She giggled some more before commenting on his pack question. "It is the pack's job to nurture the young, it is my job to ensure that that is possible. But yet again, I guess that's why you're a loner. No dedication or loyalty in your blood."
She snorted to herself and turned her backside to him once again, not allowing him to see the hurt that she could be hiding in her eyes.

" You know, you make no since at all. If you hated pups so much why protect them? I thought the things your protect and suppose to be things precious to you? If your going to risk your life for something shouldn't it be for someone you love?" Karoto asked while looking deep into the sky deep in thought, Remembering things from the past. But then her comment snapped him back to reality. He side glanced over to her and spoke again. "I am sure having pups aren't as useless to you as your trying to say. For one what would your pack do once you become to old to protect them or better yet when you die? Also wouldn't you want to pass on your giant gens? " He said with a smile. "Also just because i am not in a pack doesn't mean i not loyal or dedicated to anything. That is a naïve way of thanking, dear. I known many Shakaiyos over the years that are just as loyal." He added

"I protect them because it is my duty as a member of my pack, if I didn't uphold to my duties, I wouldn't be the Delta I aim to be now would I?" She snarled at the word 'love' and swallowed by bile before continuing. "I suppose if I ever found someone to love, maybe I would protect them, but my pack is my only love and I will take my duty to the grave." She smiled proudly holding her head to the sky, trying to look as noble as she possibly could.
"If I ever were to mate it would only be to pass on my traits for future generations to be as safe as the current, and I wouldn't worry about getting to old, i'm built for what I do, though I don't think I could say the same for you, and I Don't even know what it is you actually do."
She grinned once again, trying to maintain her noble appearance while enjoying the sunlight the best she possibly could.
"You will never know true loyalty until you cease walking this Earth alone, and join the footsteps of a true family."
