. He'd wandered a bit further away from the man caverns than he usually did after leaving his brother and their usual games. He wanted a bit of alone time and the only way he ever got that was to head somewhere that the others didn't usually go. He knew his half siblings wouldn't follow him, they didn't like the dark yet, and his father at least could tell when his sons wanted to be alone.
Things had been, well, boring lately. He had a feeling that it was because Mpatis and Usuki were still gone and hadn't come back to cause trouble lately. It just wasn't the same without someone telling off the wall stories that no one believed to be true.

Mwovu just loved going places he wasn't really supposed to. Oh, he'd avoid the red-marked forbidden zones, he wasn't that dumb, but he still loved to investigate. Even if he had been somewhere before, wait long enough and it would change.
His ear twitched as he heard a soft rustling. Thankfully, lions couldn't be as silent as owls, though it was only because of how quiet this area was at the moment that he could hear anything. He stilled his breathing, his eyes widening a bit with excitement. Mwovu wasn't mad, really, he was just...enthusiastic. FOr the darker side of things.
"Ooooh," he breathed deeply, wondering if it would catch this 'visitor' off guard.

He paused mid step as he heard a strange noise. He knew no one else was out here so who, or what, could have made that?
Shaking his head when he didn't hear it again he figured he must be imagining things. There wasn't anything out here to be making weird noises. "No reason to jump at shadows ..."

Mwovu grinned, even if the other wouldn't be able to see it. He was a wicked lion, though mostly because games were too much fun. "Hohoho," he laughed deeply, brushing his tail against the rocky ground to create a soft, swishing noise.
"But shadows like to jump out at you, no...?" He resisted the urge to jump out now, wondering what the visitor would say to that. He was being a little cruel, but in the end as long as no one got hurt, than nothing would be wrong. He could just try to plead it off as boredom; he needed more stories to entertain him, as it was.

His eyes widened as he heard the voice again. "Moshi .... is that you?" It didn't sound like his brother but maybe he was playing a trick on him. That was it. "Cause if it is it's really not funny."

"Moshi?" the voice replied. "Close, but not close enough." He scraped his claws along the walls, just for a moment. It didn't need to last long, just long enough to throw him off of his thought, whoever this Moshi was.
"It is Mwovu," he replied. He emerged to see a younger green and white male before him. "You've lost," he snickered. "Though, at least there was nothing really to win."

The sound of claws on stone made the fur along his spine stand up and he was almost ready to bolt for the main caverns. The strange male emerging from the shadows just stopped him.
"W-who are you?" God he sounded so pathetic. His father wouldn't have been this scared and he was suppose to live up to him. He'd never do that like this.
Coughing to clear his throat he tried again. "Mwovu actually right? That's your name?"

Mwovu grinned, but the difference was that he could see it this time. Mhmmhmhmh. "I am Mwovu," he confirmed, pleased to see that he got the reaction he wanted. And because of that, he would be a lot easier to talk to. As easy as the strange lion would allow, anyway.
"I am also a trickster, though mostly they are silly childish ones," he added, his tail twitching behind him, still brushing against the cool surface.
"You are nervous, no?"

"I'm just not used to strangers wandering this far in. That's all." He wasn't going to admit to being scared let alone nervous. "usually someone brings them in or someone catches them, you, on the borders."
He sat down not knowing what else he should do. "Where you here for a reason?"

"Hmmmm." He thought about what the other said, but really, he didn't think that hard. "Perhaps my charms allowed me to get in this far," he frowned, his tail suddenly frozen.
"Or perhaps otherwise," he admitted. Maybe he had gotten caught before hand, but at this point, there was no avoiding this loss. "Still, I am here because it is fun." No, no, that wasn't it. He didn't sound, or look, convincing. He rubbed his face with his paw, pondering how exactly to say it in words.
"I am here for the stories."

The brown male seemed to have a really odd way of talking but he tried not to let that get to him. If he was ever suppose to take over for his father he'd have to not judge others like that.
"Stories? Well then you did come to the right place. We have more stories than anyone else." He grinned brightly at that. No other pride could match them for their collection of stories.

Mwovu grinned. "Stories, it's what I've heard, but I had to see for myself. You can never believe everything you here.." He paused, if only for a moment. "Though, I am glad something is true."
His tail resumed swishing, the sound almost comforting to the lion. Even if the sound could get a little annoying, with how quiet it was otherwise.
"Though, stories always have truth in them. Do you have stories?"

"Stories always have some sort of truth even if you don't know it's true." He nodded slightly. All the stories were important whether they were 'true' or not. They all deserved to be told.
"I have lots of stories. Not as many as my father but i'm learning."

Ooohh. "Father?" Everyone always had a father, but they weren't always alive, or ever around.
"I'd love to see this Father, as well as hear stories." He grinned wickedly. "I love me a good story, the ones that don't always end so nicely."

"Yes. My father is one of the rulers here so he's been in the pride a very long time." He still had no idea how his father remembered so many stories but he never seemed to run out of new ones. It was still amazing to him even though he was almost grown up.
"I'm sure i can take you to him. He's probably still where i left him with my little sisters." His ears flicked at the idea of the sad stories though. "You like the ones with the bad endings?"
