Welcome! If you are reading this, I assume you are interested in freedom of speech. However, here, as in life, there are limits to that freedom.
1.
The Gaia TOS applies. No cybering, no sexually explicit material, no asking for someone else's password, no stalking, harassing or threatening other members.
2.
This guild is Christian-friendly, or Protestant-friendly to be exact. If you believe in some other religion, even the religion of atheism, that's ok. Respectful disagreement is OK. If you want to stalk, harass, or piss off those who believe in Jesus, you will get your a** on a platter, and most likely reported and banned. Just because the media acts like it wants to take a s**t on Christianity doesn't mean you are entitled to. Got it?
3.
This guild is also conservative-friendly. Those from differing stripes of the political spectrum may join, but in general it is heavily skewed toward the right. (For example, I'll support gay
Tammy Bruce over straight
Michael Moore, and Democrats who believe in booting out illegal immigrants over
anyone who wants them here for cheap labor.)
4. Currently most discussion is going on in the lobby.
Random stuff goes in the Random subforum. You can even bump there. Don't spam up the other forums.
5.
Don't be offensive for the sake of being offensive. Political incorrectness is not about using every derogatory term you know. It's about not having your speech fettered. It's about getting rid of hypocrisy.
6. Your spelling and grammar do not have to be perfect, but they'd better damn well be close. In particular, there is
no excuse for misspelled words, as spell check is automatic on the browser (on Firefox anyway, I am too busy to check the others at the moment.).
7.
FONT NEEDS TO BE 12 PTS OR MORE. My eyes are tired from work and school. I don't want to have to pump up my screen resolution just to view what you typed. No tiny type!
8.
NO LIGHT FONT COLORS. Same reason as in #7. It's difficult to see and I am not interested in taking extra effort to highlight your post so I can read it. No.
9.
NO BIG/TEXTY FLOBS. A small picture in every post, or some tiny icon bracketing your text, is OK. However, I do not want to see paragraphs bracketing your paragraphs, or big obnoxious images in your posts. NO flobs is preferred, but if there are some small ones you love to use, it's ok.
