The region itself is known as Eclipse and the Guild of the Sun was originally known as the Guild of Eclipse until Jupiter, the past guildmaster and Solaris and Selena's father, was killed by said Umbreon.

In the Region of Eclipse there are seven guilds, three of which were at one point completely destroyed but are currently being rebuilt under new rulership.
Each guild has its own affinity and symbol as well as color and territory.

2nd in Command: Usually the guild masters partner from their exploration years. There are a few exceptions.

3rd in Command: Chosen by the guild master. The 3rd in command is a safety net in the off chance that both the guild master and his/her second are out of commission.

Advisor: A powerful Pyschic type, the advisor uses their psychic powers to help guide the guild master’s decisions.

Originally there was only one guild. The Guild of Eclipse, created and founded by Orion Eclipse.
He was an Espeon with extremely powerful psychic abilities, together with his mate an Umbreon named Andromeda they built the guild themselves and opened it to all other Pokemon.
Shortly after this, a few other guilds entered the picture and soon there were seven of them, with the Guild of Rebirth moving to the top of the list as far as strength and power goes.

Orion and Andromeda soon had three children, triplets in the sense that they were all 'born' at once, but their eggs each hatched seperately in different time frames of one another.
First was Jupiter, an exciteable and hyper Eevee with golden eyes who was prone to mischief. Then his younger, but more sensible brother who was named Pluto, who was somewhat sickly and weak looking. The two started their rivalry for the throne at a young age.
Last came Venus, the only female and youngest of the trio. A delicate little Eevee with red eyes.
The kingdom lived on a tradition of male only heirs taking over the throne and so the battle between Jupiter and Pluto began from the second they hatched with Jupiter, now a Jolteon, defeating his younger brother in combat.
Pluto, then a Leafeon became his brother's second in command with their Flareon sister Venus as the third.
The three ruled in peace until Jupiter met his mate Vesta and the two had a set of twins.
One male and one female.
In an attempt to help rule out the unjust way of choosing a heir, Pluto sided with Selena, the female twin, in an attempt to help her claim the throne.
When the twins finally evolved to their respective Espeon and Umbreon forms, Selena unleashed her wrather upon the guild.
The result was the death of Jupiter and Pluto's self banishment from the Kingdom.
After seeing both her brothers fall, Venus top left the Kingdom of Eclipse to a smaller estate in the north.
Rising to the throne afterwards, Solaris changed the name of the guild to the Guild of the Sun while Selena fled for her life and soon established the Guild of the Moon.
The two feud constantly and so our story picks up from there....

The Region of Eclipse was named so, due to the Guild of Eclipse being the first guild established there.
The name remains despite to guild splitting into two factions.

Each section of the region is claimed by one of the six [not counting Rebirth] guilds.
Each guild has a Palace [Headquarters] within that territory.
The Palace of the Sun is located directly in the Boundary lands on the outskirts of the guild territories and it is not uncommom for members of other guilds to live there.
The Boundary lands is at the center of the guild territories and is home to the Tower of Rebirth [Guild of Rebirth] and the Guild exchange, which is the base of operations for the guilds.
The exchange is where guild members from any guild may got to socialize, examine the Freelance Bulletin board or even transfer to another guild.
Below is a simply map of the region territories to help explain.

[Yeeessss, fear my crappy paint skills. FEAR THEM.]

The green dots are the Guild palaces and since the Guild of the Suns is directly next to the Guild exchange, it is the guild all new explorers join until they reach rank two and wish to join another, although they usually remain in the Palace of the Sun regardless.
