Noel had been having a good ol' time getting lost in the hugeness that was Africa. He seriously didn't mean to stray away from his family... but one event after another caused him to well... get lost.
Now he was alone in Africa with no place to call his own. The lion was utterly clueless of this though and for some odd reason seemed to be getting along just fine (for the most part). Very surprisingly.
No no, Noel was no hunter. He was deathly afraid of things with horns and hooves for one and he was to much of a clutz. There was a certain charm about the boy though that seemed to work in his favor when he asked young lionesses for help with food. Maybe it was cause he was really really good looking, or maybe, it was the fact he looked like some kind of idiot that would probably starve to death with out help. Either way, the strange luck seemed to follow him with lions and other creatures he met. Needless to say, Noel had learned how to beg in style from these experiences. Almost no better then a house hold pet.
It had been a small while since he'd run into any strangers though. Noel hadn't even run into any left over kills or small creatures.
Maybe it was because he some how wandered into the desert. Hey, he'd never seen one before. It looked like a good place to avoid those demonic horned things that also tasted good. Seriously, any thing with hooves really freaked him out. But now.. he really was lost and hungry.

It might have seemed fitting for a fiery young lion to be found in such a hot place as the desert, hell if he knew why. Why the hell had he wandered this way in the first place? It wasn't as if anything ever caught fire in the desert. Grass, oh grass burned nicely, as did trees; sand, not so much.
Not that he knew how to start a fire himself (oh if only), but how he enjoyed watching the flames when he saw them. A nice quiet hill overlooking a raging fire, such a beautiful sight.
Damn this place was boring. Nothing but sand and sun as far as he looked. Was there even anything to eat here? He was so hooking it east and heading right back the grass lands of the savannah. At least there were other animals there, here there was nothing, nothing at all.
Or so he thought...

Noel's steps were heavy. The heat was just not good for his fur. The lion's fur laid on his body in matted bunch's from all the sweating he was doing being out in the desert. Totally not sexy. No.
But hey he figured he'd get to some water soon if he kept going blindly forward right?
What noel didn't realize was he was traveling further and further in to the heated desert. Probably where he'd meet his death if he kept at it at his tired pace.
His paw slipped in the fine grain of the sand causing him to trip and slide. He just let his body fall down the dune of sand in an awkward ungraceful fall.

What the ******** hell?!
The lion's tail twitched, a low growl at the cloud of sand that had just been flung at him. What the hell man, what the hell? Who the hell was throwing sand at him?!
His brow furrowed, ears back, very much intending to b***h out whoever had been stupid enough to throw sand at him. Oh he was going to let them have it!
"HEY!--"
And then he looked down, it wasn't moving. What the hell? Had this stupid little lion literally just fallen right at his paws? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF DESERT WAS THIS?! And what the hell was he doing wandering around here alone until he fell over. Idiot.
"Hey, wake up."
A forepaw raised, Lucis kicked at the other lion. Wake up, stupid.

Noel just laid there like a useless sack of potatoes at Lucifers feet. He felt the kick but just couldn't bring him self to get up. Not that he couldn't. He very well hadn't been in the desert THAT long, but he just didn't want to.
Noel just wanted to shut his eyes and for it to be another day. Maybe the grass would grow back and this place would be a dream.
"Mehr.." He mumbled not saying anything more. It was clear he was alive.

Rearing back, Lucis delivered a SWIFT HARD KICK to the other lion's a**.
"GET UP! Or would you rather I just leave here for the buzzards?"
Stupid idiot, this is not a dream, you are not going to wake up and be somewhere else. If you don't get your a** up you're going to wake up to buzzards eating your a**! Or worse, you won't wake up at all!
And why the hell did he care anyways? It wasn't as if he knew this idiot lion or owed him anything. Well he was kind of cute, in a pathetic sort of way, hmph!

The force from the other kick and the passion from the strangers voice was enough to have Noel up on all fours blinking up at the other. He was a big lion now wasn't he. Noel gave him an awkward smile.
"Buzzards?" He repeated. The word .. he'd never heard before living in the jungle most his life. "Wa's a buzzard?" The lion tilted his head. It was as if Lucis never kicked him or yelled. Noel was more interested in what Lucis was saying now rather then all that other stuff.
The lion tilted his head again, "So you want me to come with you? Are you saving me? " Noels eyes light up. Was he in the glory of a god? Noel openly gasped with a stupid idiot grin.
God help us all with what little logic went around that boys head.
"Your my savior then!" He grinned wildly taking a few steps closer to gaze up at the holy one.

Lucis stared at the other lion for a long moment. Oh god, seriously, he really was that stupid? How the hell do you not know what a buzzard is? Hello, it's those big black birds just waiting to eat your sorry hide!
"I--"
Wait, what? What the ******** hell? Was this idiot for real? Did he even hear the words that were coming out of his mouth? WHO THE HELL SAYS THINGS LIKE THAT?!
Sigh...
"Yeah, I guess I am."
Well he couldn't just leave him there!

"Right... so were in the desert," Noel gave the sandy area a once over. For some one who didn't know Noel had grown up in a lush green jungle all his life away from pretty much else, his behavior might have seemed odd. Mental even.
Noel frowned and kicked at the sand.
"Well I'm not alone now. Cause you came to save me. Did you come far?" Noel smiled at Lucis a big dim witted smile. Some how it was charming though for what ever reason. Noel just made it work.
"So now that I'm saved we can leave this.." Noel kicked the sand, "Desert..." This had to be the work of the hoofed ones. The lion never trusted them with their hooves and horns. There was something quite evil about those creatures.
The lion bent over and sniffed at it, growing once more, and pawing at it. "How dare you be so hot in the presence of the savior you desert fiend from hell!" ... wait was this some kind of hell?
More importantly. How the hell did Noel know what hell was. Did he? Nah. Probably not. For one he was out in the desert yelling at sand. Probably a good idea for him to get a drink.

Yes, desert, big sandy hot place. What the ******** man, where had this idiot come from, had he been dropped on his head and left there or something? Desert, it's not a big word, really.
Oh god, what the hell was he doing now?! Growling at the desert, riiiiight. Clearly this lion had more than a few screws loose. Sigh, he was going to regret this, he just knew it.
"Yes, I think you've been in the desert long enough..."
Fortunately there was a small water hole not far back, hey, at least HE knew how to get through the stupid desert without ending up buzzard food. They'd head back there, have a drink, then head straight for the grassland. He'd figure out what to do with the little idiot after that.

WATER! Noel bounced a around the bigger lion happily. He noticed the other lions tail as he bounced and just couldn't help but latch onto it with his mouth. He gripped it softly like a mother would a cub. For some reason it made the lion happy to hold it in his mouth.
Hey at least the idiot stopped talking right? But now Lucifer had another problem to deal with. Tail latching. He was never going to shake Noel away from his tail now. Oh no, it was to soft and comforting for the lion to want to let go.
So Noel stood there in silence, thank god, with Lucifers tail in his mouth.
Yeah... something was probably a little off with this lion. Understatement much..

ARRGGG WHAT THE ******** HELL!?
His tail lashed, twitching in the other's grasp. My tail is not a chew toy you stupid little fuzzball! Oh yeah, he was regretting this already.
Fine... At least he was quiet and not yelling at the desert anymore, or attracting any unwanted attention. For now anyway.
"You have a name?"
Well he supposed he could just call him idiot...

Noel tried to tell Lucis his name through the holding the tail in his mouth. As you can imagine, it didn't work out quite to well for the clueless red lion. And this took Noel a couple attempts ,coughtwentycough, to really figure out that this just wasn't going to work out.
Reluctantly, the red ball of fuzz dropped the others tail so that he could speak. Oh he missed that tail from the moment it dropped from his mouth.
"Nyarai.. But I call my self Noel," He grinned a dim witted, yet charming, grin up at the bigger lion.
Huh, he'd not really noticed before how huge Lucis was. Strange. Though it took Noel a long time to really notice much of anything. He was a bit thick in the head... And that might be giving the idiot to much credit right there.
"W'at bout you?"

Whatever, there's no need to tell me your full name if you want me to call you something else.

See, nice and to the point. It's just a name, you don't need to give a speech, no need to say the full name, Lucis'ferre, just Lucis, now was that so hard?
Introductions over, he was getting them the hell out of that desert before -he- went insane. Idiot fanboy...

Noel gave the lion an approving nod. He liked it when others called him by his name he called him self. Noel was just cuter and oohhh so was Lucis.
"Lucis," Noel repeated. He'd remember that no problem. It was cute and Noel couldn't help but feel a little jealous that he hadn't come up with it before Lucis. Ah well, he liked this lion. Noel had decided that he was going to keep close from now on.
"I think I love you Lucis," He chimed up at the bigger lion, "You're my friend now kay. "
Now there was the question... had Noel been licking shrooms?
