Baileys trotted away from the teepee in which she stayed. It was boring there. All the others went on about were mates and children. Tch, who needed that? With a snort, she tossed her luxurious mane and headed off for one of the nearby meadows to graze and be at peace. At least, that was what she was hoping for. Everyone knows, that isn't always what happens despite what we wish.

Sand. He liked the thing, but when it was everywhere because there had been another sandstorm, he wasn't particularly pleased. His owner was still in his mediative trance, so he had some time. And so he came to the meadows, somewhere where he could roll in the grass to get all this darned sand off him, and possibly have a nice graze. Rolling around like a newborn foal, he had somewhat of a shock when a beautiful mare came into the field, and his immediate thoughts? OHMYGODILOOKIDIOTIC.

Baileys eyed the stallion on the ground rolling around like a colt with a look akin to disdain. She snorted delicately and walked over to him and peered down. "Can you tell me what on earth you are doing?"
She wasn't one that liked to get dirty. It annoyed her to be honest. Besides, what male would pay her any attention if her beautiful coat and luxurious mane were filthy?

Stumbling eagerly to his feet, Kain looked almost guilty for a second, then he laughed slightly, flicking his ears back uncertainly, and shaking his coat so that the last of the sand came off. Moving his head in the direction of where the sand had fallen, he spoke.
"That is the answer to your question. A sandstorm hit again, and I was foolish enough to be caught out in it, and get sand everywhere. I was rolling in the grass to get it off."
Darnit Kain...so formal. Kain had a tendency to get formal when nervous, when usually he was so casual.

As Kain shook, Baileys backed up while making a disgusted face. Sand flew everywhere and if she had stayed, the filth would have gotten all over her. With a quite 'eww' and another look of disgust, she let out a delicate snort. "Must you really fling it about so? I think I preferred you rolling around on the ground in the grass."
Oh yes, she definitely did not like dirt or sand. It was so....dirty. "Why in the world would you be a fool and be out in a sandstorm anyway?"

Kain looked puzzled for a second. "I thought you just said-Eh, nevermind." Swishing his tail softly to dislodge the grains caught in it, but carefully as to not get it over this mare, who seemed rather preoccupied about appearance, he raised a slight smile at her question.
"It wasn't a matter of choice - my owner lives in the desert, and I was out looking for water when it hit."

Baileys expression and attitude softened a little. She knew what it was like to have an owner sending you out to do things most of the time against your better judgment. "Ah, I see. Forgive me, I shouldn't have assumed you were out by choice. My mistake, obviously."
She eyed him carefully and snorted softly, "Maybe rinsing yourself off in a river or stream would be more...helpful?" She was trying to be nice, though it wasn't her best trait.
