[This Rp involves Kay, Hoshi and Snake Eyes. ]
The day had been a rough one that was for sure as the vixen huddled in the corner of the kitchen. In her paws clutched a letter which had been wrinkled from her falling tears, not that it was any better her death grip on the frail paper had torn in a few spots from her claws. Raising her head from her knees to stare at the ceiling a few moments, she took a ragged breath in before picking herself off the floor.
It was well past one, and she needed sleep badly; but not here in the shop. She wanted her bed, her pillow....the one comfort she had from home which still smelled like such; she knew it would make her feel better. Rubbing her eyes with the backs of her paws, a terrible knot of homesickness ravaged her gut as her frustration at her condition left her eyes glassy while she gathered her things. Tossing her side bag over her shoulder she exited the shop out the back door as her eyes quickly adjusted to the dark of the night; finding it easier since she'd been walking home now that summer had set in and the days lasted longer and longer. However now that it was well past two in the morning the moon had become her only source of light as she walked down the hill towards the woods.

Being adept to the silence and shadows of night, Snake Eyes was perfectly at home in the warm forest near the large structure that was the shop. On this particular night he was more than content to lounge in a vacant tree branch and even remove the visor he often used to conceal his sapphire eyes. It wasn't often he saw a world in full color. Usually it was dimmed by the thick solar panels.
He let out a silent sigh as he placed the technology riddled visor on a flat portion of the branch he laid on. Gently he rested his head down on the limbs and stared at the transformed landscape, transfixed on it's beauty.
A shadow caught his eye, and he raised his head to see a figure of another fox. He watched the fox closely while slowly reaching for his visor, feeling that he may have to confront the individual eventually

The trail was dark yet the vixen was starting to remember its little twists and turns, uplifted roots and pothole along the path. It was quiet tonight as she ventured, stifling a yawn with her arm while trying to make quick pace back to her home. Home....how she missed the smells of her mother's cooking, the memories of places explored and treasured back in the human world. It was so wild here, so unpredictable....so....alien.
Biting her lip as she crossed her arms infront of her chest she tried to will the emotions from spilling out once more as her pace accelerated, the letter in her bag haunting her thoughts.
She wasn't aware there were eyes on her aside from the norm of the forest creatures....or perhaps she might have re-thought Bane's wise advice to be weary of things which lurked in the forest at night.

The ever curious ninja noticed that the shadow didn't stay place in long. The fox clearly had a place to go in a hurry. His fur tried to stand on end in the sense of adventure, but it was obviously thwarted by the heavy black out fit.
Quickly, he snapped the visor back on and targeted the fox with ti's fancy tech. While following as silent as a ghost, he used it's technology to enhance the image and bring the view a bit closer, revealing the femme, Kay. He was quite surprised and made him ever more curious as to where she was heading in such a hurry. He wished he could stray closer and see if there was a reason for her pace, but something told him to stay at a good distance, though he wasn't sure what

Faster....faster. The wind felt good through her thick brown locks as it reminded her of simpler times, of good times on the track. Soon she broke out in a run as her bag twisted to thud against the small of her back; her anthromorphic legs carrying her down the dark trails faster than her human ones could ever manage. Hurdling over bushes which got in her way with ease she continued as her panting breath whisked off into the night air.
That was, until she could have sworn something had brushed against her arm even at this speed.
With her breath catching in her throat as she nearly tripped onto her face as she skidded to a halt; her chest rose and fell dramatically as her head turned and ears twitched....had she been imagining that touch? A worried look crossed her face, wondering if she should dare even call out...

As the now identified Kay ran faster for whatever ailed her, the ninja tried to keep up, but found that branches were scarce. Taking long leaps, he tried still to keep up and remain silent, but he wasn't prepared for her to suddenly stop.
When his noticed she was not in front of him he landed on a branch and tried to stop, but slid off. He managed to catch himself and flip around just in time to have his chest square off against the wooden object. He did everything in his winded power to keep a hold of the branch while his legs dangled dangerously above the ground. When he caught his breath finally, he sighed, but was mortified when he heard a crack from the limb, as he and the rest of the branch hurtled towards the ground, crashing violently on the forest floor. He was fortunate enough to have landed in a bush, but he laid there, hoping to remain hidden from view

Crack... Immediately the vixen's eyes snapped to the treetops as her body veered back; so she wasn't imagining it! Her breath caught in her throat as she was about to turn and hoof it out of there when something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention.
"Ho - " Was all she could whisper out before tight confines enclosed around her mouth, whisps of pitch black clouding her vision as once white outlines of his face had turned red as blood.
Oh god.... Breathing had become hard to do as she flailed against her house mate's grasp, unable to see where she was going as chilled black ooze seeped onto her fur and clothes. It was little use as the vixen's paw slipped off the safety of the path and tumbled down the incline; unable to even cry out as the rocks sharp pain as she rolled over them on the way down. What was he doing.....Hoshi wasn't like this....why was he attacking her?!

She didn't come over? Was she going to run? He was confused momentarily, thinking if she was going to run, maybe he should to. He flipped over onto his feet and crept out of the bush, not noticing the small trickle of red on his right arm. He peered up to where he thought she would have been standing but instead he saw...........something else. As much as he wanted to sit back and figure out what it was, a more powerful drive kicked in as he drew his well kept katana from it's sheath that balanced on hies back. He paused for a moment, using the moonlight to reflect a well placed beam of light onto the black figure, hoping it would either deter it, or give him a clue as to what it could be

Unaware she had any company other than Hoshi, the vixen writhed against the grasp as her vision began to spot with orbs of light from the lack of oxygen amongst the black; furiously trying to grasp onto something solid to no avail. She was aware Hoshi had incredible control over his body and his ability to morph between tangible and shadow, despite how much of a goof the creature seemed to be.
Choking as she could hear the gentle trickle of the stream to her right, she could tell that Hoshi had shifted for some reason. Little did she know that he'd moved to get out of the light as it shone right through his smoke like form and exposed the solid formation of his paws encasing the female's mouth.
Feeling her movements slow as her consciousness flickered in and out; the vixen gave a monstrous heave of her body to flip herself to hopefully slide into the stream. However as she was too far away just her arm had splashed against the water; which immediately Hoshi's shadowy grasp had darted back from the wetness to remain central covering the upper half of the vixen's motionless frame.

It moved. An advantage. As Snake's heart thudded angrily against his chest, he put sword in one hand and reached for a small flash light he kept on his belt with another. He remained stoic for a moment as he saw the female being choked to death by this strange creature. What did this thing want and why her?
He shook his head and pressed the button on the flash light, shining the brilliant light on the strange creature and leaping towards it with sword ready to try and attack. Something told him he'd possibly have more difficulty actually hitting what he was now seeing as a demented fox, but he took one powerful swipe of his blade towards the beast, making sure that his precision cut came to no harm to the presumed unconscious vixen

Twisting furiously under the bright light, the red slits the demon called eyes snapped towards Snake as his 'lips' parted to ooze out a mixture of red and black ink like liquid. His body seemed to whisk away in the night, twisting and turning till he was back out of the light before materializing once more. Hissing defiantly, the creature became silent as the fellow male rushed forth with blade in hand.
Had it not have been for that flashlight, the demon might have been able to come out victorious....but such wasn't the case. Smirking as the blade passed harmlessly through his smoke frame it was too late before he realized the angle as it sliced deeply through his tangible forearms. Screeching out painfully in a sound painful for the ears, Hoshi forced his body to completely melt away from the physical world as he dissipated into the darkness swiftly....knowing he'd need to get as far away as possible for when he returned to his physical form that would would be one hellava wound to treat.

Finally landing on two heavy boots, the ninja crouched, poised for a second attack, but realized that whatever he attacked had already left with a screech. I guess I milked that landing he thought to himself as he stood and looked for the beast with his flashlight. He was thankful he was still thinking, but it occurred to him that he still had a job to do.
Slipping the flashlight behind his left ear, he turned on his heels and knelt down to see if the motionless Kay was alive. With an ear listening for the sound of her drawing breath and his hawk eyes watching for her rising chest, he mentally prepped himself for necessary CPR...but to his good fortune, she was breathing. He himself took a sigh of relief before letting his weight shift and falling on his rear to catch his breath. He already felt his fur matting up from perspiration, but the night air was still cool, and he took a small moment to enjoy it

It had indeed become peaceful for the unconscious femme, that was until the slow return of consciousness allowed her to feel the tickle of something thick and foul tasting about to slide down her throat. Snapping her eyes open she rolled over to nearly heave up whatever she was about to swallow, gasping for breath and spitting like crazy to rid herself of the black liquid.
Shaking considerably as her eyes frantically looked around to see if he was still about or why he'd left. The ooze stuck to her fur, black ink like stains riddling what was her nice white sweater....yet she was still trying to ease her panic attack when she realized she was not alone as she caught something glimmer in the corner of her eye.
Turning to look at Snake, the vixen remained a shaking and frightened mess.....not saying a word as she stared. How...how did he get here in the first place? Or was she somehow dead and had failed to realize such...

Fun time was over, he had to see if that...thing was coming back, but that would have to wait. He saw that not only had the vixen come to, but she had been more than lively and now gazed at him in fear. Shaking his head slowly he took the flashlight from behind his ear and pointed it away, not daring to turn the thing off in fear the monster would return.
He waited for the vixen to calm down as there was really nothing he could do to surely set her at ease. Unless of course it was something else that had set her into further fright. He took a moment to look over his shoulder, soon confirming it was just him

Closing her eyes tightly, she lowered her head gently onto the ground as if being as still as she could despite the trembles would somehow make everything okay. That maybe she'd wake up from this world of fantastical creatures both good and frightening and be home in her bed....yet that reality was no longer her own as there was no escaping the dark of this night.
"I.....want to go back to the real world.....I can't do this anymore..."
She mumbled, curling tightly upon herself knowing she wouldn't get an answer anyways. What was she supposed to do if her other housemates turned on her too.....then she'd never find her way home.
She'd never been one for watching all those TV dramas....questioning her own judgment...and her own sanity.
